Wow! I was so disappointed with the service that I did not receive today at Oops! A man who seemed to be a regular customer was engaging in conversation with the store manager and the other female during his transaction. When I stepped up to the counter I said "Hello," and stated that I was ready to checkout. Both females behind the counter acted as if they did not hear me, and continued the conversation with the long since paid customer, so I walked out. I came back into the store to discover that they were still engaged in the same conversation. I told the cashier, who happened to be the manager that I did not appreciate the way I was ignored. The other female got an attitude. I told them that I made a special trip to the store to shop and I didn't appreciate being ignored. She snatched to top off the counter and I asked for the corporate office contact information. I asked the clerk for her name and she scribbled something on the back. Upon entrance, the staff was very helpful in potentially pointing me in the right direction. I told them what I was looking for and they immediately searched through their database to see if they could show off some pieces. As I looked through some of their clothes, they came to me with some of the pieces that matched what I was in search of. Unfortunately, they weren't really a match but I kept shopping anyway. I ended finding a couple shirts that I really liked. I was able to try the clothes on to see if the fit was good. I decided to go ahead and purchase two shirts. I was all in about $50 for two shirts, but the prices can range heavily based on which themes of clothing, especially winter clothing. When checking out, the owner was very kind in talking with me. He even gave me some other shop recommendations more local to me up in Charlotte. They sent me on my way with a solid tote bag and some stickers. The personal touch is always so refreshing to see in a world where some much shopping is done online. I appreciate that they are open on Sunday's because a bunch of them were not. The store is full of fun, kitchy items and is very well merchandised. I categorize this type of store as being full of things nobody needs, but that doesn't mean you don't want something fun. It's the perfect place to find a gift for a friend that you have an inside joke with or a great accessory for a party. My only gripe is that the prices were significantly higher than I expected, but I do understand that they probably have a high rent in that space. I ended up buying a sardine jewelry dish that will now hold my sardine gold pendant when it's not on my neck.
