We had the deck stained by a professional using a very high quality stain after about 9 months. But now the deck looks like it is 20 years old.....most of the boards have split or warped. Many nails have popped, and most are rusted. The spacing between the floor boards is uneven. Sap is oozing out in large amounts on the face boards. Maybe they used poor quality wood and rushed through some of the construction.,,they definitely didn't use good rust-proof nails. Whatever the reasons, I couldn't recommend them and wouldn't hire them again.

In response to this, I asked for a price reduction and reschedule and instead of a professional response something along the lines of, "Unfortunately, at this time that is the lowest price we can offer" I was met with a verbatim, "Absolutely not. Our price is already so low that it's almost not even worth it for us to do the job." and I replied with, "well if that is how you feel, I will find someone else for the job. So I will.
