This store sells fake jewelry as being real gold. BEWARE!…read more I bought $580.00 worth of "precious jewelry" today including a gold sapphire braclet and 2 gold rings. One ring was fake (metal is brass instead of 14k) even though it was marked by the store and sold as being 14k (and also stamped 14k on the inside of the band). I acid tested when I got home and immediately went back to the store. I was told there are "no refunds or exchanges" as it says it right there on the receipt. So, I told them is was sold as being "Precious Jewelry" as it says right there on the receipt and that I paid for something that I did not get (14K). They told me I should be more careful when I buy expensive jewelry. I said how much more careful can I be?.... you had it marked 14K in the high end display case and the ring is stamped 14k. I have pictures of the ring before I purchased being in their display case, pictures of the 14K stamp when I was viewing it, and pictures of the brass color showing through the ring after I acid tested (and it is not gold).

I'm a good ol' Catholic Filipina lady and the idea of someone trying to live as literal as possible from the bible cracks me up! Especially since the bible was written by how many people? I still think the Goodwill on Tulane Ave. is cheaper but hey, this is my second go to spot. There is also a huge selection of guy stuff. I like looking at the bric a brac as well. The donation site is the next building over and the people are quite friendly. I've donated a papasan chair (imagine that round chair in Cost Plus World Market that you think is comfy but you end up falling out of, well I kept falling out of it! hehe) and other items. They are very efficient and help you unload your car as well as politely asking if you want a tax deduction receipt. There is a convenient parking lot and it's across from Lowe's. Someone said they are on their phones the entire time but honestly, I would be too if I was working there and had nothing else to do. I only put 4 stars because the store is pretty crowded and there is not a lot of space to move between aisles so I never shop more than just what's on the outside aisles.
