It is mostly organized, but apparel and shoes have many aisles, so takes a while to go through them. Bags and other accessories are behind glass cabinets, easy to see the models and prices. The store seemed popular overall. Many customers were in the store when we went there around Sunday noon. I really wanted to like this place and use it as a source to sell some of my and my clients designer items. BUT unfortunately there policies are outlandish and they basically pay a penny on the dollar for items they then sell for an over price. The store operates much like any other consignment shop--some days are great, others not so much. Pricing is highly inconsistent and should be more closely monitored for fairness and transparency. Customer service is noticeably lacking. This isn't a reflection of staff age, but rather of management standards. Training and expectations clearly need improvement. Communication--especially regarding consignments and payouts--could use significant work. To the staff: please remember you're representing the store, not the designers. Professionalism, kindness, and clear communication go a long way. Policies should be easy to find and clearly outlined on your website and social media. When accepting consignment items, be upfront with clients. If there's a daily limit on how many consignors you can accommodate, communicate that clearly--something as simple as, "After the 10th consignor, we won't be able to process any more items today," would go a long way. Rather than saying we may get to it - time is precious and time is money!!! Or better yet, consider switching to an appointment-based system. Transparency builds trust. I dropped off a bag containing Chanel, Balenciaga, and several pairs of unworn sneakers--only to be told, five hours later, that no one had gotten around to reviewing them. Then I saw YELP and GOOGLE about lowball offers and rude staff, and unfortunately, I started to understand why. With 30 years of experience in fashion and resale, I can say this business has potential, but the current approach is frustrating. Please improve your process and stop undervaluing consignors' items--it's disheartening and comes off as disrespectful. You can--and should--do better. read more

Love that 2nd Street USA has finally made it to New Jersey! Have been to all their shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. You can score some great finds on authentic second hand items. When it comes to inventory they have a wide variety of designer and non-designer with solid customer service. Selection sucks. I've called before asking about products I have to see if they would take them. They fronted as if they're very selective. I went in person today and there's overpriced items and cheap items. Not to mention, I came in today to see how much they would offer for my Kobe Grinch 2020 shoes. I got to the store around 12:20 as I live an hour away. I asked whomever was at the front desk if they are interested in purchasing my Kobe Grinch shoes. They told me it's first come first serve and I should have been there earlier if I was only bringing one thing. Nonetheless I still left the shoes with them to look at. They told me it would be 2.5-3 hours until they got back to me. I looked around their store. I left around 1:30 and drove to another location that is 30 mins away. Fast forward, to 3:48 pm, I drove 1.5 hrs back home... as soon as i get off the highway I receive a call saying my items are ready to be picked up. I then receive a call at 5:23 pm again leaving a voicemail stating my items are ready to be picked up and I have until 7:45 or else it would be donated. I called back and overheard someone behind the counter saying they were going to take the shoes. Around 7pm I receive another call from them and I let them know I was 10 mins away from their location. I get to the store and they show me the offer for my Kobe Grinch sneakers......... they offered me $55. Their website has sold 2 other pairs of Kobe grinches. One for $400 and the other for $500. I waited 2 hours for him to tell me they didn't buy women shoes size 7 and under?! Really Im a size 6 and my daughters are a 7. I arrived at 11:20 and was greeted at the counter by the most uninvolved and uninterested person that I've ever met in my life. I handed my bags of merchandise that I wanted to sell and after some paperwork and instruction from,what I guessed was the person in charge, I was told it would be a 35 to 40 min process as there was one person in front of me. 40 min later after I'd walked and shopped I returned and none of my merchandise had been processed. I asked why the delay and I was given the standard riff by the " manager" that he was busy handling other patrons and other work and that slowed the process down and it would be ANOTHER 40 min and if I wanted to wait then do so if not then don't. It is now 12:57 and I haven't been notified of anything! There are at least 4 employees in this store, 2 are on their phones and no one seems to be interested in doing their job. The attitude if these people are egregious and sad in a retail environment. I took designer pieces that were like new that costed in the thousands and they low balled with their offer. Items are pricey for purchase but they offer 5% to buy from you and mark up 100%. This "thrift store" was great. It was well-organized and had a great selection of clothes. I came home with cool pieces, like a pair of Zara pants and some cargo pants that didn't have a brand name. I ordered something off their app and called about a week later for the shipping because it still wasn't showing as shipped. They assured me they would ship it that night. I even offered to come pick it up that day because I didn't want to wait any longer for shipping. This wasn't allowed by them as part of their policy. I called the next day at noon just to make sure they shipped as I still didn't see the tracking information. After waiting a good 10 minutes to get any information, it was confirmed that my package did not ship and it wasn't going to be able to ship until the following day. I work within supply chain and logistics, and this is super frustrating. As if there's a label created this can easily be dropped off at a UPS location or as mentioned, I could've picked this up. It was a $300 purchase and I wasn't offered any comp for shipping even after reminding them to ship this twice. The store has a nice mix of clothing and options. You can get some good deals on usually high-priced items and there are some quality finds. Unfortunately, they have an extremely unprofessional manager named John. The rest of the staff is very pleasant staff and they are engaging, very helpful, and give off positive energy. I have been in the store several times and the staff has been a pleasure (Adam, Nasir, and Paola - a different manager). Buying items is not a problem. Besides my own experiences, coupled with a few friends of mine, we have not had a good experience with selling items. The main constant in that equation is one of their managers, John. John's demeanor, dismissive nature, and lack of interpersonal skills is troubling. The quotes are subject to change and estimates of timing can be off. John is not approachable and gives an air of not wanting to be bothered when dealing with customers overall, which includes when people approach him with items to be reviewed for selling. Interactions that I have experienced, and that I have witnessed with John, have been unpleasant. He's been very rude with his words, actions, and leaves a customer feeling as you are bothering him and he has better things to do. This is not a case of catching someone in a bad moment or having a bad day - it's every single time. Customer service is nonexistent. I would have given more stars for 2nd Street and their staff but the manager, John, can make going there less than desirable.
