My friends and me stayed in this hostel for one night and we loved it!…read more The staff is super nice, beds were clean, bar/restaurant was fun, too, and there are great, relaxed, welcoming vibes. Not to forget the price - totally affordable. Mojitos are tasty, too, and they have a great deal - two for one!

Pros: -colorful, tropical, relaxing Mexico vibe -beds are clean, housekeeping makes your bed every morning -attendants keep the place pretty clean -lots of windows to get the breeze in during the day, ac at night -plenty of spots to chill with friends: tables & chairs, hammocks, bean bags, pool side -not too loud at night: they play music until about 11pm, live music on Sundays -plenty of trees to sit under and enjoy the island breeze -there's a small swimming pool with an extra large rubber ducky floaty for great entertainment -dorm rooms and private rooms available -decent prices -they can help with activities, scooter rentals, SCUBA classes -charge everything to your account: pay for room and meals at check out but don't forget to tip -ask the attendants for ideas of where to go on the island -kitchen is open from breakfast till after dinner (burger and fries is pretty good, affordable) also doubles as a bar with drink deals -free sliced fruits for breakfast, tea all day as well -small lockers available in the lobby area, bring your own lock -small fridge for your food items: label it, and don't forget to dispose of it before departure -attendant insisted I pay in MXN cash, discouraged credit cards and USD cash (see below why this is a pro and not a con) -games and books available for use -laundry services for a small fee -15min wall north of the pier, close to the action but far enough from the noise in a residential area -free filtered hot and cold water cooler, bring your own water bottle Cons: -limited shared bathrooms: 1 full bath, 1 shower, 1 toilet, 1 outside sink...key thing is timing to avoid long lines, don't forget to close those window slits -prices for some of the activities are not the best deals on the island -no kitchen access, but you could probably ask them--when they are not busy--to heat up something for you -frozen tilapia for fish tacos...I was hoping for something non-tilapia and fresh from the sea -no personal lights on your bed, use your flash light -gravel in the courtyard, don't drop your phone! Before You Go: -credit cards are to your disadvantage on the ENTIRE island, additional 16% charge for use. Pay in cash: MXN is best, USD if you got nothing else. Pretty much everyone posts how much they'll take your $1USD for. -if you're on the island for SCUBA, research other companies for better deals, diver:guide ratio, size of dive groups, and boats before deciding to go with the one partnered with the hostel

Dirty, moldy and gross. This was the worst room I have ever stayed in. My husband and I have…read moretraveled in many countries and have stayed in many hostels but this was by far the worst. We had traveled for two days and were up for 30+ hours and this place was horrible. We booked it bc Lonely Planet book said it was great. Upon checking in the smell of mold was profound and the room was super awful. We were dead tired, no time to find another place and the front desk closed for the night. We booked for 2 nights but left the next morning. No one at the reception desk spoke English and we just didn't want to deal with trying to get a refund, we just left. See the photos. Dirty, moldy and gross.

Highlight for me was the dorm room beds. Lots of hostels just have uncomfortable bunk beds, but natura has these little cubbies built into the walls that are awesome. Each has a curtain for privacy, and inside there's an individual light and fan for your space plus a little nook to put things and a charging port. Only downside was they don't turn on AC in the room until 11pm--but they will if you ask! V nice service, everything was clean and comfy, really nice spacious showers. Lovely rooftop terrace with hammocks, lots of places to lie out, a book exchange, and a kitchen. Overall this hostel was smaller and quieter than many I've stayed at but it was beautiful, comfy and tranquil. And again, seconds from the beach! Hard to beat.
