This use to be a great place for us to visit. First they changed their system and gift cards I found in a drawer they won't honor since they changed their system. So $500 lost there. Many menu item favorites are gone, caprice sandwich, Italian sausage burger, app platter so there is something for everyone. The beer selection isn't as good as it used to be. In the fall Porters and Stouts should be featured on the menu or at least have a few(Guinness doesn't count). Lastly the cheese curds had a very light batter, unfortunately half of them had no cheese in them. Also they use to provide a small amount of bread to dip in your soup, that has now been eliminated. Sadly we will not be returning after many years of patronage.

Ventured out to 3 Corners in Lemont for their Thursday Specials. This was my first time at the Lemont location but have frequented their Nee Lenox location. Thursday's specials were a $12 Chicken Tender Meal (with side) and $6 martinis. The martini offering was straight forward: dirty, espresso, french, some specialty ones. Spirits included were house level and a bit sugary for my liking. If you're not a strong martini person, these would be great for you! Overall, the flavors were good! We started with the pretzel bites which we were a bit surprised they weren't salted. What I did love is the amount of sauce these came with! How many times one has to dip less to ensure each bite still got cheese or honey mustard; not a concern here! The honey mustard was a pleasant sweetness too with less of a bite. I got the garlic parm boneless wings which were delicious! The sauce had a hit of a zing. I wish they weren't served on the bed of lettuce so I could scoop up more of the sauce. My partner liked the chicken tender meal but appearance does not look like your typical tenders. He also loved the tater tot side offering!

The best part of being at Three Corners today was being served by a beautiful young woman named Abby. Abby suggested several items that she highly recommended and I went with the ribs which were outstanding! I highly recommend Abby to lead you through the fabulous libations and mouthwatering food. Nothing compared to bantering with Ms.Abby. Abby sealed the deal for this 5 star review. Happy Easter to all of you bunnies out there.

St. Patrick's Day afternoon. Laidback as usual in a marvelous way. Great service and really fun attitude from the whole crew. Especially if your barkeep is the charming and beautiful Abbey.

Glasses that sat at the table for over an hour. Busser passed by numerous times and looked and kept walking.

This is quickly becoming my local neighborhood bar. We love stopping in here after our commute home…read morefrom the city or on a random afternoon to get out of the house. They have a lot of board games to borrow, pinball machines and multiple TVs usually playing some live sports. The best part about this place though is the staff - we've met the owner a few times when we're in, and have a favorite bartender who always seems to be here when we come. They are absolutely incredible and seem like just good people. For those who become regulars, the Draft Class membership is definitely worth it if you can snag one!

NINETY-NINE BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL…read more This bottle shop in downtown Downers Grove has a myriad of craft options. Prior to last weekend, every time I walked past Orange & Brew the lights were still off (they don't open until noon) so I had no choice but to peer longingly thru the windows into a dark business. I finally stopped in during normal hours with the family in tow on the first Saturday in August. I got a mix-and-match 4pk of IPAs + pilsners for my dad, who has oft complained about the lack of decent brewskis at my house. Well Opa, now you've got a quartet of 16oz craft cans to pick from, so no more grumbling about "only shitty light beer" in the downstairs fridge! They have a large cooler for people to take beer to-go. My wife grabbed a 4pk of rosé hard cider ($13) which she later claimed tasted too much like kombucha. I found it refreshing, like a Woodchuck or Strongbow with a gorgeous deep purple hue. Of course I had to play their four pinball tables on the left side ($1 per game). They had a Stranger Things (with snazzy UV kit upgrade!), Deadpool, 007, and Rick & Morty. The first three are newer Sterns that play decently, but R&M is a strange design from Spooky Pinball that I've yet to figure out. * TL;DR * Take one down, pass it around.....that'll be $6, please! Orange & Brew shares plenty of similarities with Beer Shop in Oak Park: brews on tap, assorted brews in bottles on a shelf, and a fridge full of cold brews to take home. The biggest difference is that O&B has pinball tables, and that bumps them up a star. The guy behind the counter who tapped my beer didn't smile (or even say thanks) when we cashed out. I got the feeling he was apprehensive about my wife and I bringing our 4yo & 1yo kids in here, probably afraid they'd crack open and chug a beer without paying. But seriously, they were very well behaved. If I'm in the area and Orange & Brew is open, I'm definitely stopping in for a cold pint and a few games of pinball. Check them out!

The bar had everything come in waves so everything was fresh and hot and not just sitting in a hotel pan over some sterno. Food was delicious!! Split the pot, raffle prizes, great beer (maybe brew more than 3 beers that aren't IPAs? That's just one mans opinion) every seat in the house was taken, but it wasn't overcrowded at all somehow, props to the layout. Never had to wait for the bathroom or at the bar to get a drink, really solid operation. We sat in the bar area, but they have a really cool living room vibe kinda area in a room off of the bar area (fireplace, 60s/70s furniture) that I could definitely see coming back to for a date night or post-dinner drink. Great spot, will be back!

They always have a crowd and that's expected because there's not many other great places besides this. A lot of beers to choose from. There's a pretty great variety and they always rotate. Beers are the main thing of course. It's got a pretty surprising amount to choose from. There's a lot of these on tap. More in cans. Pretty great variety. A lot are IPAs but there's a few others. It's about $8 a pint. Kind of a lot but they make smaller batches of these. Best one we had of these was the Hazy In The Name Of. This is a New England Hazy IPA, a classic style. Made with citrone and nectaron hops. There's notes of citrus, lime, passionfruit, and peach. Has a few things to munch on. It's about $7 for the Knotty Pretzels. Comes in a big bag. These are a great combination and big enough for sharing. For sure there's lots of great beers. It's actually open daily which is especially rare for a brewery to be honest. They sometimes have food trucks.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.
