Ever since I learned that there was a speakeasy in Lockport i've always wanted to check it out but I didn't want to go there by myself so I finally convinced my wife to visit the Speakeasy with me. We figured it would have been the perfect way to top off our evening. For first-timers it might be hard trying to find the speakeasy since at first I thought you had to access it from the Busy Street and walk up three flights of stairs. Actually you just walk inside of the Embers building, find the elevator that's kind of hidden and take it to the Third floor. I thought that the little trip up felt exclusive already. Once you're at the third floor you are treated to a beautiful array of scenery. Exit to your left and you were treated to the bar and some great tables with a cozy, intimate setting. I'm not sure if it was open seating since there was a little podium right off the elevator so we just sat ourselves. Some speakeasies require a certain dress code to keep up with the times. This one thankfully was casual though many people dressed business casual. We actually loved how the staff dressed as well. I have to try their Japanese sex drink and I absolutely loved every ship that I took. The drinks are fairly price. They did have a food menu but it was mainly snacks and small plates that were a bit overpriced. If we're having a large Gathering they have a big private room next door. This place does have a lot of great events going on as well with their upcoming Valentine's Day event that looks really interesting. 933 Speakeasy is located inside Embers in Downtown Lockport. I loved that getting to the bar was truly an "in the know" experience. It just so happens that I visited the night of a holiday bar crawl in lockport so the inside wasn't set up how it normally would be. For being packed, we were still able to grab a cocktail table to enjoy our drinks at. The bar was decked out in holiday decor to get everyone in christmas spirits. My group got two rounds of drinks which included the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned, Figgy Smalls, Christmas in a Cup, Happiness is a Warm Puppy, Milk & Cookies, and Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. My favorites by far were the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned and Figgy Smalls. My group also loved the Milk & Cookies. The bartenders hustled to get drinks out and still took time to smoke the old fashioneds to perfection. I'd love to come back on a normal night and re-enjoy this lockport hotspot. read more

I have been to 933 Speakeasy multiple times and each time the service is constant and the cocktails are delicious. I find the bar to be always clean and pleasant when coming through the door. The bar is small, but if you come right when they open--you will find a good seat. I am not sure if they take reservations but calling to check might work in your favor. read more

I've been to the Speakeasy a number of times, and wow--what can I say? This place is absolutely fantastic. They make incredible smoked Old Fashioneds and fabulous martinis. Has the look of a speakeasy but people in here sure aren't speaking easy. It's actually always kind of loud to be honest. 933 Speakeasy is located on the upper floor of Embers in Lockport. A lot of noise is coming from there as well, which kind of affects the atmosphere. That's the only negative about it though as it has terrific retro drinks and the prices aren't crazy bad for these. Came by on a weekend because it's only open at the end of the week of course. It's not that hard to find, because there's signs pointing the way up the stairs. The upper floor looks a lot like a speakeasy as getting in involves taking some twists and turns. Has a menu of classics and house concoctions. It's about $13 for most cocktails, but these are high quality. We got a couple and liked these. I got the Zelda Sayre, which is a Painkiller. This is a classic one with a tropical theme. Strong but easy. This has coconut, dark rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Also has a big whiskey list. There's tons to choose from if you're okay shelling out for the best stuff. Even though the music and noise can be too loud, it still resembles a speakeasy in cocktails and looks. It's open Thursdays to Saturdays. Megan was amazing only complaint would be to have more 21 seeds cucumber jalapeno tequila in stock and please fix the espresso machine !!

Staff was nice but the place was extremely tiny, felt more like a nicely decorated dive bar more than a speakeasy. We ordered the $23 charcuterie and it was just deli sliced meat and cheese. Drinks were decent at least but won't be coming back. read more

Drinks were good and the small bites were tasty but for the price very small portions. You can literally take the elevator downstairs and get the same food for less. It's less of a speakeasy and more of a spillover from the bar downstairs. Setting is nice, but very small and crowded. When we first got there at 5 when they opened it was great, but as the crowd from downstairs started coming up it felt more like a sports bar. Nice place but doesn't warrant the prices they charge.
