What I received looked sparse, uneven, and significantly smaller. Several of the flowers pictured in the advertisement were either missing entirely or replaced, and there was far more greenery than actual flowers. The overall arrangement lacked the fullness and visual impact that I paid for. To make matters worse, many of the flowers arrived already fully bloomed and past their prime. Instead of receiving fresh flowers that would last several days, they looked like they were already nearing the end of their lifespan. I honestly don't expect this bouquet to last more than a day or two. I understand that substitutions can sometimes be necessary, but substitutions should still maintain the overall appearance, size, quality, and value of the arrangement that was ordered. Unfortunately, this bouquet does not come close to matching the advertised product. For the price paid, $100, I expected something much closer to the photo on the website. This felt misleading and disappointing, especially since the flowers were intended as a birthday gift. I would not order this arrangement again and hope the florist does a better job ensuring customers receive something that reflects what is being advertised. When I reached out with concerns and provided photos, I was told the arrangement was "exactly like the original picture," and that my photo was just a side angle. Even after explaining the differences, I was refused any resolution. Eventually, I was told they would only issue a refund if the flowers were picked up and taken back. Since the arrangement was already delivered as a birthday gift and displayed in my manager's office, I was then told that if I refused pickup, I would be charged the full original price again. This put me in an extremely uncomfortable position of either asking my manager to return a gifted arrangement or losing my money entirely. Overall, the product delivered did not match what was advertised, and the customer service experience made the situation even more frustrating. But when we went to pick up the flowers, I was shocked to discover that, while two sidepieces were serviceable, the central arrangement was completely different from what we had discussed AND the reference photos we had sent. Not only did the florist try to pass off different, cheaper flowers to us (while keeping the premium rate), but many were also WILTED. When I pointed this out to the owner, he had the gall to deny it while standing next to the bunch of old flowers. The owner had also completely changed the colour scheme we had requested, as HE felt it was inappropriate for OUR occasion and he knew better than us. When we asked him to honour our requests which he had accepted, the owner protested that we had only given them a short lead time for the order -- a funeral order for a SUDDEN death in our family, which we had explained to him off the bat. The deceased's daughter was with me and almost cried! The insensitivity and selfishness was astounding. I still cannot believe how much the owner of the Blossom Shop bungled our order, but, more than anything, I am shocked at how rude and incompetent he was -- and at a time of intense grief for us. Any families suffering bereavement should beware of the Blossom Shop, as should any happy couples considering it for their weddings -- unless they are comfortable being told how they should celebrate properly and taking whatever flowers he deigns to give them, in whatever shape he says they are.
