Radiant Energy Solar installs multiple solar brands and system configurations, and after doing over a year of deep research, I personally chose them and the EG4 system--I couldn't be happier with that decision. While I'm clearly biased toward EG4 at this point, it's because the performance, expandability, and overall value are hard to beat. It was EG4 that actually recommended Radiant Energy Solar as a top tier and trusted installer, in the state of Florida, which made me feel a lot more comfortable considering the amount of money that exchange hands. The system they installed is a true five-star setup--it looks as good as it functions. The workmanship is extremely clean, everything is perfectly aligned, and when the job was finished, the area was completely cleaned up. On the evening of November 21st, we noticed our 12-year-old air handler had frozen over and our condenser was making a strange noise. We called GC and they were at the house the next day. Cali has been our regular tech over the years, and he showed up on time. He diagnosed the issue and provided us with a few options. We opted for the full replacement since the unit was old enough to warrant it. He explained the pricing and payment options well and without any type of pressure. Oscar and Jackson showed up on the 26th and preceded to rip the old out and brought the new in. They both were exceptionally courteous and kind. About six hours later, the entire area was cleaned and any questions were answered. Cali called about a half hour after they left to check on the install. He asked to call back once the ducting was cleaned and disinfected just to ensure that it went smoothly. Y'all, Global Cooling has been a friend to us for years. So we have to replaceed out roof, and I have to show the people my contract to prove that, and once we paid for it , got delayed twice of removing the solar. A month later I call Scott's and ask for a copy of the bill. I wondered if I didn't receive a copy of the bill because the tech told me he was going to sit in his truck for awhile after I paid him. I figured he was trying to build up service hours to justify the nearly $400 bill. (My son later told me it should have cost about $150) When I called their office I was told they do not charge by the hour...there is the $100 service fee, and then a flat fee depending on which part is replaced....supposedly I got a senior discount so can't tell you how much over $400 having a capacitor replaced will cost you.
