The service was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the coffee was the biggest disappointment. It lacked the quality and care you'd expect from a specialty coffee shop. It felt like the drinks were made by following a recipe rather than with the skill and attention of a trained barista. I don't mean that disrespectfully, but the coffee simply wasn't enjoyable. Another issue was the cleanliness. Several tables were dirty, and although the employees didn't appear to be busy, they spent most of their time talking with each other instead of wiping down tables or tidying the floors. I really wanted this to become my go-to spot for a concha and a good cup of coffee because it has so much potential. I hope they invest more in coffee preparation and keeping the café clean, because with a few improvements, this place could be something special.

It's in a great location in downtown Fort Worth and is a beautiful space. It's peaceful, it's meditative, and there's lofi hip-hop bumping through the speakers. On my quiet comedown, it was exactly what I needed. I ordered their spring menu's White Rose Latte out of curiosity. There were actual roses in it. They aren't liars. I got it hot like I typically do, and the one-man band running the shop was on top of it. The coffee was pretty good. It had a solid balance of milk to espresso, and the flavors didn't overpower the espresso like a lot of coffee shops try to do. You can tell they know their ratios when it comes to pulling the perfect shot. Good energy is what you want after a city run, and good energy is what Sons of Liberty Coffee provided.
