Pablo recently completed a full removal of my in-ground pool. The job started sometime late July…read moreand finished on August 21st. He also removed lots of trees and their stumps on my property as well. I'd been wanting to get rid of the pool for years but I've never been comfortable with big home projects, so I kept putting this off. I got multiple bids but went with Pablo because his price was not only very competitive but he also put me at ease from the start and throughout the project. He and his helper showed up practically every day and worked eight or nine hours at a time, even through the July and August heat when it was over 100 degrees. They just kept at it until it was done. They were considerate and careful during the demolition and trees removal so I'd no issues with my neighbors. My 90-something year old neighbor said she barely heard any noise lol. They always asked before doing anything, and when I was on my work trip, Pablo would text me photos so I could see the progress. He also let me know when inspections were coming. Wish I had known about this company years ago so I could have gotten rid of my pool sooner.

At first I was leery of Legacy Demolition because it didn't have many online reviews. But I chose…read morethem for a pool removal, and now I'd use them again in a heartbeat! Here's why I changed my mind: 1. They're competitively priced. Every time I've asked them to do work for me, they've been significantly lower than other quotes/estimates. At first I thought there must be a catch. But as I vetted them, I concluded that they were legit--they're just a relatively new company and they have a lean operation, so they're willing and able to cut good deals for their customers. 2. I like them and trust them. They're easy to talk with and work with. I was leery about loud demolition noises waking up my family, and they accommodated me. They've gone above and beyond to help me see what different options could look like (e.g., they invited me to see a nearby pool removal they were doing, they lent me samples of artificial turf when I told them I was interested in artificial turf, they helped me decide on the turf that would look nicest, and they didn't charge me extra for it). They didn't make big decisions or changes without talking with me. They've been reliable, hardworking, and transparent. 3. I like their work. They want to do a good job, not just check a box, and they're not out to cheat or gouge me on pricing. See the before and after photos to get a feel for their work! I had wanted to remove my pool to get rid of the safety hazard for my kids. And Legacy Demolition did that. But even more, they gave us a lovely place where our kids can run and play and giggle safely. And for that, we're grateful.

The job was pretty straightforward but the land did have a slight slope to it. Dimension gave me great recommendations from their experience on number of piles, retaining wall, parking curbs, and even incorporated a pipe running under the concrete for future electrical system and irrigation that I requested. I would hire them again for any concrete work or anything else that they are willing to do. Their communication through the whole process was excellent, which is something that I value very highly.

Dimension built the large retaining walls (main wall: 11 to 12 feet tall x 120 feet wide; planter…read morewall: 4 feet tall x 100 feet wide) and drainage systems as part of our landscape project on a steep slope. Before getting introduced to Dimension, I reached out to some other concrete contractors in the Bay Area; many of them didn't even respond perhaps because of the complexity in the job while others responded with quotes that were not backed up by enough details. Dimension's quote came in with a good level of detail with very reasonable price; in addition, it had all the paper work required by the city, from workers' compensation to liability insurance. When the actual work got started, we were really pleased to see good signs of a great construction company. The crews knew how to read plans, were highly skilled and they were really hardworking (to the point that we were worried they didn't take enough breaks!). Since there was quite a bit of demolition, the crew cleaned up our driveway every day before they left. Nick, the owner, was very organized, along with great support from the office manager Daniela. Nick checked in and communicated with us on a daily basis, and was very patience in listening and responding to our questions. He got all the equipment and materials in order and he was very experienced in dealing with field engineers and city inspectors. As with any large projects, we also had "surprises" that were not covered by the plans and had to make changes accordingly. Each time when a surprise popped up, Nick put our project's interest first and tried to make flexible accommodations, even though it meant he would make a bit less money out of such changes. His homeowner-first approach was in stark contrast with dishonest contractors who low-balled their quotes just to get into projects and then take advantage of the change orders to make money. Many thanks to Dimension, we couldn't be happier with the new walls and drainage systems. In so many ways, we were lucky to get to know Dimension through their excellence. And when neighbors asked for referrals, we had no hesitation in recommending Dimension.
