    Shopping spree

Sweet cashier. Told us about the nursery being closed on Wednesday! Amazing selection,

    Mari V.

Came to this little shop with my sister and nieces today. The shop is located in the cutest area. It's small but has a lot of things to look at. The items are vintage and unique. Prices are reasonable. The clothing pieces were mostly for petite/small women. My niece is a size 0-3 (xs-s) so the clothing is perfect for her. She has bought a few dickies there in great condition for $18. You are able to use the dressing room to try on clothes. If the person at the shop would interact with customers and was more friendly and offered help if needed it would be such a perfect shop to stop by!

It's hard not to notice Vintage Odyssey because of the cool masks hanging on top of the entrance. The decor of this nice store is very well arranged, gets your attention, lures you in. Hard to miss it! Fun store to browse with cool, funky merchandise, nicely displayed. Lots of cool home decor items, clothes, stationary, a bit of everything vintage and not only. A bit crowded inside, lots of people were shopping here, but it made the whole experience more fun.

Great little vintage shop to find some old nicks and nacks. They have some rare and some very unique items available. Nothing stood out too much for me at least but I'm sure you might find something to tickle your fancy!

I wanted this bench!!! So cute right?? But I couldn't justify spending $250 on a piece of furniture I don't need...

Cool local vintage store! Although things are a bit on the pricey side, it is worth the stop.

There is parking in the front of store, but it usually gets taken rather quickly especially between 2 PM to 4 PM on weekdays. You can also park in the back, near the area where donations are dropped off. I usually come on Tuesdays, where discounts usually don't apply to me. I like Wednesday's where there are student/teacher discounts. To my luck, I went on a spin the wheel day today! You get to spin the wheel after your purchase for an opportunity to win items or get a discount. I like browsing their toys, vintage items, and office supplies. I usually get very good second hand items such as staplers, hole punchers, DVDs, shoes, and board games. This location is actually my favorite place to shop for vintage film cameras (I'm afraid to post this because my fellow Yelp friends will be coming more to grab them before I do!). Today, I bought a good pocket minolta film camera, some stuffed animals, and some office supplies. The cashiers are sweethearts and are willing to help you look at items! They also have an extensive amount of used clothes and furniture. It's definitely my favorite thrift store and will continue to be so.

I like to browse their cups to find vintage, floral pieces that my mom used to have. In addition to cups and plates, there are endless amounts of clothing articles, toys, books, jewelry, and miscellaneous pet items. Each section is separated towards a designated section, making it easy to browse. The ladies who work here are gentle and kind, always willing to assist you, if needed. Everything is decently priced and there are constantly great deals. I've come on a special sticker priced day, making my items (with the correct colored sticker) 50% off! Their quality in picking clothes has really gone downhill, shopping through their dress section today I saw about 3 dresses with big noticeable stains going for around $30, i also saw a good amount of SHEIN, Fashion Nova, and even clothes from Ross. It would be easier to understand if they were prices very cheap but $18 for a Ross top? No thank you

Unfortunately, my experience this morning was far from what I had hoped for. As I was shopping, two employees hovered closely and circled around me multiple times, fixating on my hands and arms without offering any assistance or even a shopping basket despite a few items in my hands that I was fully intending to purchase. I had my personal bag over my arm and was taking photos to share with my mom, who was also interested in purchasing items as well. Being scrutinized like this felt invasive and unsettling, especially when other shoppers in the store seemed to shop freely with their personal bags, totes, and strollers. When I questioned if there was an issue after circling around me not once, but 4 times, the 2 female employees acted confused, but their behavior was unmistakably targeted. Seeing that similar reviews from a year ago highlight the same issue, it is clear nothing has changed. This pattern of behavior feels like an enabling of racial profiling, which is deeply disappointing, particularly when the store is aiming to celebrate and promote culture through their World Cup merchandise and LA Dodger gear. As a Latina, I had simply hoped for a welcoming and appreciative shopping experience but left feeling upset and excluded. I hope this review encourages The Grove to reflect on their staff training and work towards creating a more inclusive environment for all customers. Sharing this experience with the POC communities and on social media could help advocate for the necessary change.
