I just got these done 2 days ago for $50 + tip. I've been here before and when I had women working on my nails I never had any problems. This time I had an older man doing my dip manicure and he was extremely rough. I winced in pain and pulled back several times while he was using the nail drill because he kept drilling the skin around my nails and he would say "sorry" every time. I thought he would get the hint that he was being too rough but eventually I said "could you maybe not go so close to my skin? It hurts." Be mumbled something about needing to clean the nails and continued being rough. At this point he clearly was ignoring my requests so I continued to wince and pull back in pain for him to finish. 8/10 of my fingers have cuts that are painful and beginning to look infected. I have never left a nail appointment this damaged. I have been wanting to call the shop directly but they have been closed the last 2 days and I needed to document the damage so I'm leaving this statement. Also to be noted that I have polish all over my skin outside my nails in some spots and missing/bald areas in others. Very uneven and bumpy. read more

Quite possibly the worst acrylic set I've ever had done. The most obvious problem was the I asked for short coffin(which I know is possible. I even had a picture for reference). They are long and just a straight rectangle weird shape. Then, there's the fact that the skin around one of my thumb nails is destroyed. While she was filing, she filed through the entire side of the nail, hit skin and just kept filing. My skin is raw and burning still 3 hours later. Lastly, they all look like they've been growing out for two weeks already. First and last time here. No one can even fix these, I will have to have the whole set removed and a new one put on when I go somewhere else. read more

I went here for a manicure and pedicure. When I told the nail technician what I wanted another nail technician kept trying to get me to use the dip powder. I declined a couple of times but finally gave in because I am a very shy, non confrontational person. When the nail technician began drilling my nails he cut the skin around my nail with the drill on 3 separate fingers. My fingers had a touch of blood on them. What surprised me was that he continued the nail process without cleaning them up. He even dipped my nails into the powder container with dried blood still on my fingers. This really concerned me about the cleanliness of this nail salon. Imagine how many customers are dipping their nails into the same containers. Yikes! Looking back I wish I would have said something, but I have horrible social anxiety and was ready for the whole ordeal to be over. I gave two stars because the young lady who did my pedicure did a great job. I will not be returning. read more

I will only go to this nail salon, I feel so welcomed and pampered when I go here. T the owner does such an incredible job on her clients. I've been going here for almost 6 straight months. My nails are healthy and thick and they keep getting healthier and healthier. My whole life I've been a nail biter and I never had pretty nails to flaunt until this gem opened. I recommend getting the nail dipping done. Way better for your nails then no chip and acrylic. :) read more

I don't get my nails done often so walking into a salon is usually awkward for me. Made an appointment for myself and my 5yr old daughter. This place made us feel so welcomed like we had been going there for years. Not only was my pedicure amazing, they were absolutely fantastic with my daughter! I thought she was just going to get a simple mani and pedi, they took time to draw designs for her and made her feel so special. Best service, amazing staff, will definitely go back!! read more

Brought my daughter in for a basic manicure. I appreciate that they took us as we were a walk in and they were busy. But I'm not sure why I was charged $20 for a basic (mind you, decent not great) manicure.. does it really matter if there's 5 different colors? They were all regular nail polish. Also, my daughter said the technician was aggressive with her. Not cool but again, appreciate them taking us as a walk in. Cannot say we will be back. read more

So normally I don't post stuff like this but I have to give 31 Nail Care a shout out. I usually do my own nails, but I have been to a bunch of local places and had dip manicures done. The grinding/scraping those places did to get off the old dip powder before putting on new really took a toll on my nails. It took many months for them to grow back normal. I went to get a pedicure at 31 nailcare in front of the Crystal Lake Walmart a few months back. I decided to get a manicure too and one of the employees asked me if I wanted a dip manicure. I said no, and told her how it had messed up my nails so bad and was so hard to get off. She explained that the way to other place (LT nails) did it was incorrect and that the dip manicure should be better for your nails than gel polish and make your nails stronger. I took her up on the offer to show me. The first dip manicure there was fine. My nails were very short because of the previous damage. She told me, wait a few weeks, come back and they will have grown so they can shape them and then the 3rd time, they will be long, and healthy. I followed her advice and she was 100% correct. When they take off my previous dip manicure, they buff the top, leave a soaked cotton ball on my nail and then WIPE it off. That's right. They wipe it off. Not grind, not scrape, wipe with a cotton. If it doesn't come all off, they rewrap it and wait a few more minutes. When I leave, my skin isn't stuck to the nail. They use regular clear coat, NOT GEL. I am attaching 2 pics, one is my 3rd dip manicure at 25 days old. If it weren't for the outgrowth they would still be perfect. Did I mention in addition to being a dental assistant (I work with my hands and wash them incessantly) I also professionally clean my office every week. The second is my new pink/white ombre that the owner did by hand. It looks amazing. I will never go anywhere else and guess what else. They are CHEAPER than the other places!!! read more

So this was my 2nd attempt. I was in the salon for over 2 hours. I had 3 techs including the owner work on my "dip". I'm not sure what happened or why I took so long. If your nail tech is not capable of doing the work tell the customer to come back. Currently, I have 4 different nail shapes in various sizes. This place also doesn't put cuticle oil or lotion on your hands after the dip. At this point, I will not go back to have anyone fix my nails. What a waste of $38 plus tip. read more

My husband and I were in the area and decided to get pedicures here. We have never been here before. I was very disappointed with the pedicures. The girl doing my pedicure was very rough and when she was using the pumice block on my feet she ended up scratching up my ankles but that was not the worst part. She put the hot towels on my legs and burnt my toes with it. The girl that worked on my husband cut his cuticles so bad he is all scabbed up. I will not be a returning customer. My friend and I went to get a dip manicure and regular pedicure. Not only did they take 2 hours, but they cut my nails 4 times to where I was bleeding, it was the worst dip manicure I have ever gotten. I had to correct the man 3 times in order to get the owner to finally step in and redo my dip on 2 nails. Went in on 12/26/18. With my daughter for mine and my daughters no chip mani. Owner wasn't there. Her friend was filling in. No music so I ask why. Owners friend says it engages people to talk. I think this is It awkward because other clients can hear your conversations. Especially when the person who is doing your nails isn't talking. When I sat down for my service, I was faced away from the door with a man who was fumigating from cigarettes so bad, he never said anything to me except for when he burned me with the drill on my skin from working on my nails. So much for conversation. He had this long disgusting sharp slanted nail digging into my skin as he worked on my nails. Owners friend had her husband come in with their 4 young girls under the age of 9 for mani and pedis. They were filled with so much rambunctious energy that the quietness from no music became very disruptive. When I wanted to pay for my service before I finished my mani, her husband took my credit card with no explanation, and I had to ask what he was doing. She said he will ring you up. Thanks for explaining and why wouldn't the other people working there with no clients do it. I had been in there a few or ther times with getting points on my phone number from their rewards program, but never was able to get any this time. Very unprofessional. I thought I would try it out since they were having a 20% off grand opening sale. I went for a pedicure. The pedicure and the tech were great. It all fell apart when I went to pay. Turns out that even though they have a large sign (visible from the highway) that says 20% grand opening special with no exceptions listed - they didn't feel like granting the discount. Yes, it's only 20%, but to me it's the principle. Take the sign down if you don't want to honor the discount. I won't be going back read more

I decided to try this nail salon because i have a busy work schedule and the salon is close to my job. I've been getting my nails done (acrylics) for close to 10 years, and I'm pretty loyal to my nail salon.. unfortunately I decided to try the dip and my nail tech does not prefer to do it so I was pleased to find that this new salon had good prices and tons of colors to choose from! The salon was very nice and there were a few nail techs who appeared to be super friendly and their clients seemed to have great relationships. My first trip there I had a male tech who wasn't super friendly but my nails looked great! And lasted almost five weeks!! They weren't chipping or lifting just obviously growing out! So I made an apt and went back.. once again I got the male tech at desk 3. He was not friendly, we were the only ones sitting in silence, he cut my finger with the file, pretty bad! And also got mad about my finger being stiff.. and then proceeded to start slamming things around, super uncomfortable I silently let him finish the job and then not pleased with my experience or the nails, tipped him 3 dollars.. (I usually tip well) he finished my nails and didn't say a word, I sat in silence until he began packing his things and I asked if I was okay to leave he said "ya" I was not happy with my nails they didn't look smooth or shiney, one is super thick and one hand is shaped uneven, but I am not one to complain. The following day at work my girls all love to see my new nails.. I had already sent two of them their way and one had booked an apt for her and some friends.. they seen my nails and insisted I go back Because they said they looked so bad!! I went back and tried to quietly explain my concerns to another woman ( not to cause a scene) and also informed her I can make a new apt and come back I just wanted to show her while they were still fresh.. the man came from his desk and started making excuses and talking over me until I finally said Nvm and i left.. there were a bunch of customers looking at me and I felt super uncomfortable. It's been a week now and they are lifting chipping and bumpy. I see patients all day long who like to see my nails and I work with 20 women right across from this salon and I will be sure to share my experience so they don't have to feel uncomfortable while paying for a service that is supposed to make u feel good! read more
