Many salons wouldn't offer that, so I really appreciated the customer service. The decor inside is immaculate. As you'll see in the photos others have posted, it has an earthy yet luxurious feel to it. Down to earth but classy. Very bright and airy. A nice place to be. My stylist Kaitlyn (again, can't thank her enough for coming in early just for me) was very good about walking me through the steps of the process because I was doing a big change (cut off 12"+ and balayage; I've never even colored my hair before), making sure I was comfortable along the way. It definitely made me feel more at ease and trust in her abilities. She was very knowledgeable about the whole process of coloring from a chemical perspective. Which, as a chemistry major, I found pretty neat. Maybe others wouldn't care in the way I do about the chemistry, but it is relieving to know that your stylist really understands what she's doing to your hair. The products they use are very hair healthy and eco-friendly, which I find important. Louis offered me tea, too, which I've personally never experienced in a salon. Those little things help to make you more comfortable and at home, so I appreciated it greatly. As for how my hair turned out... I loved it! It couldn't have come out any better. It was exactly how I was hoping it would turn out. Masterful. It's been about 6 months since I got the cut and it's grown out nicely, which is exactly what I was hoping for! Before my hair was down to my hips with a lot of broken strands. I'm glad I got it chopped off because now it's healthy and turns out to be simple enough to style. Because now that I look back, I had so much hair that it just kinda sat there. I'm glad I got over the fear of cutting it, and that Kaitlyn was the one to do it! Just be aware that a process like mine cost about $200. Definitely not cheap, but these services also require a great deal of skill. Don't expect to be getting results this good for $20. I don't do a lot with my hair (I rarely ever use heat on it) so my hair is healthy enough to where I don't need cuts that often. But I think the next cut I need, I will come back.

I dreaded going to hair salons in the US because I have Asian type of hair (thick, heavy strands), and almost all salons I went to have been disappointing me with the results because they're not used to handle this type of hair. I went anyway because I was too desperate! I called in the morning and they told me to come in an hour later. Kristen was my stylist and she was super nice! She greeted me and offered some drinks. She really tried to cater to my needs and she even confirmed at the end if I want to adjust the length and the model (which I did and she was soooo accommodating!). The wash and blow at the end was really nice too! The place itself was really cozy and well decorated. It looks like high-end salon as soon as I walk in. But, here's the highlight, IT IS SO AFFORDABLE! I've had haircuts with the same price and they usually do just the bare minimum. I literally told her I can't believe I only have to pay that much! Would definitely come back for my routine haircut with Kristen!

As others have noted, the salon itself is lovely. It's on the second floor, with lots of natural light and views of Westcott Street. I came first thing in the morning so finding parking was a breeze, but I think you'll be able to find a spot within a short walk anytime. It looks like they have drinks (including mimosas) available for customers but it was first thing in the morning so I didn't partake. I went for a simple trim with layers, and it took about 1/2 an hour including the wash. The price was as listed, and actually a little lower than comparable salons in the area of the same quality. I don't get my hair cut super often, but I'd definitely come back here!

It's absolutely gorgeous, with windows that bring in great natural light, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere. The vibe feels effortlessly cool, almost like stepping into a Lana Del Rey music video - relaxed, stylish, and spacious. Doug, the owner of Wescott Barber, played a huge role in bringing this salon to life, and you can see the craftsmanship in every detail. The attention to design makes it such an enjoyable place to be. Beyond the aesthetics, the experience here is top-notch. Serena is incredibly friendly and welcoming. She made my almost 4-year-old feel so comfortable, and they were having the cutest conversation during our visit. It's such a kid-friendly environment, which is a huge plus for parents. They also sell a lot of the newest hair products that you only really see on instagram and not in stores. I have very curly dark brown hair. I know how important it is to go to a stylist that understands texture and hair health, and they definitely understand here. I have been going to the owner for years and the majority of clients are repeat customers so that should tell you something.

Felt like my hair didn't look any different when I left than it did when I got there. No one even noticed I got my hair done it was such a subtle change despite me saying I wanted to go much lighter. I also didn't like that their shop said it would cost a certain amount and I was charged DOUBLE that. I get that I have a lot of hair and use more product so I knew it would be slightly more. She was so nice and I was really impressed with all the different styles she could do. When it came to the day of my wedding, she and a colleague showed up right on time, set up and did hair for myself and 10 other ladies, all with varying styles and hair textures. They were so focused, we even finished getting ready early. She was amazing, and I highly recommend both her and the salon!
