Had my hair done by Lucky. The blowout itself was fine, but she was incredibly rude. Pushes my appointment back 2 hours the day of, then proceeded to lay into me about a booking error about the type of blowout I booked for my hair length . I apologized again and again and told her it was a technical error, and she keeps repeating her frustration at me, while she's laying into me, she uses severe heat and pulls at my roots. She also criticized my hair itself. While I understand that she may have been frustrated, this did not warrant such unnecessary behavior, was a very unpleasant experience. read more

I am beyond disappointed with this place. I work seven days a week, so when I book an appointment, it's a big deal for me to fit it into my schedule. This salon clearly does not care about that. First off, no one ever answers the phone. There is no way to get a hold of the owner, and communication is non-existent. My stylist, Lucky, already canceled on me in December for a funeral, which I understood. But then in January, I rescheduled for a Wednesday, and a day later, I saw my appointment was changed in the system without anyone even telling me. When I finally got a hold of her, she said she was "on a movie set." I had specifically picked "Any Staff" when I booked so that I wouldn't have to deal with one person's schedule, so why was I being told I couldn't be seen? If you're busy on a movie set, you shouldn't be taking bookings from the public. When she finally "fitted me in" at 7 PM, the whole thing was half-assed and rushed. I didn't even get to pick my own glaze color; she just did whatever. I told her I was happy to finally get my split ends under control, and she just dismissed me and said, "everyone has split ends." I go to a salon for the experience and to feel seen, but I felt like I was just a nuisance she was trying to hurry up and finish. To make it even worse, my partner's appointment was also canceled last minute because the other stylist didn't have a babysitter. It's just constant excuses here. Then, when it was finally time to go, Lucky didn't even seem to know how to collect the payment. It was so disorganized and awkward. I still gave a 15% tip because I'm a responsible person and I value labor, but honestly, I feel like I was bamboozled. I could have stayed home and done the glaze and the cut myself for way less money and zero headache. I'm done with professional salons if this is how they treat people. I won't be back. read more

I am one of those "too busy to take care of themselves moms" who rarely goes to the salon. 6 months ago I booked a last minute appointment for a cut right before my baby was born, so I would look okay in baby's first photos. I ended up getting paired with Erin. She made me feel so relaxed and my hair looked beautiful. I have a wedding to go to this weekend, and I contacted Vida Bella to see if I could get a last minute appointment for a cut and color. This time Michelle was available. As it turned out Michelle is Erin's sister, and also a kids yoga instructor, and Reiki practitioner. Normally I bring a book to read while I get my hair done and mostly avoid small talk, but both times I have gone to Vida Bella I have felt completely comfortable and didn't end up reading my book. The good energy or vibes were very noticeable with Michelle and I walked out feeling emotionally 20 lbs lighter. My hair also looked beautiful. The salon itself is very clean and welcoming. Although I was a first-time customer, the staff made me feel comfortable and you can tell they keep long-term relationships with their client base. I got my hair colored with Arron, who was fantastic! She did everything I asked and didn't push me for any extra services that I didn't want. She answered all of my questions promptly before the appointment, and was friendly while I asked questions in the salon. She also was accurate when she quoted me prior to coming in. I got my hair cut here with Arron. I got a v-cut for $45 and am very happy with it. Booking was easy through Yelp messages. They also take appointments through their website. They sent a text confirming my appointment. The salon is very responsive to Yelp messages. The salon's located left of a liquor store and right of Tops grocery store. It is located upstairs and I do not know if there is a way up other than stairs (so I'm unsure if it's wheelchair accessible). I liked the interior feel of salon. It is decorated with lots of vintage chairs, and the stairway space had lots of fun eclectic mirrors. They offer customers coffee, water and pastries. I enjoyed getting my hair washed because Arron really lathered up my head and gave a strong head massage. I would have liked to have some hair product put into my hair after the cut but that wasn't too big of a deal. They also do kid's/men's haircuts, makeup and waxing. read more

I've heard lots of good things about this place and came here around February for the first time to get the bottom 1/3 portion of my hair bleached four times and colored from dark to light blue like a mermaid! :P Then came again a few month later for more because I got so many compliments! Now Im gonna bleach everything and do a metal blue-ish color. The place is really cozy and clean, they have complementary water, coffee, and all kinds of things. The staffs are really nice too. I alway go to the Chinese stylist Shuping, she's really good with Asian hair. They also have this OLAPLEX professional hair care product which prevents my hair from being damaged. Bleaching is really bad for your hair, and imagine doing it four times lol. She mixed No1 into the bleaching and coloring product and No2 after rinsing. She recommended No3 and a few other products for me to use afterwards to help make the color last longer. read more

a lot of times they have promotional discount on holidays, it is always good to ask. There is a chinese barber and she is very professional and serious of styling hairs. The good part is she listens to your willing even u r not sure about what exactly u r trying to have. She could be one of the best barber in town based on my experience of trying many shops.
