We were so happy to stumble upon this restaurant for our last evening at the Crystal Coast. We definitely saved the best for last! When we arrived we were immediately greeted by the valet. They were so pleasant and welcoming. We entered the restaurant and took a seat at the end of the bar. The bartenders were dressed to impress. They didn't have uniforms, but instead nice pants, a pressed collared shirt and a fitted vest. The way that they presented themselves before even speaking said to me that we are going to take care of you and you are going to enjoy a wonderful evening. We love to start with bar bites or small plates to sample the menu. This allowed us to try the crabcake, calamari and the scallops & bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We shared a bottle of red wine and split the asparagus and steak cooked medium-rare. The steak was cooked to perfection! There is a standard fee of $3.00 to split a meal. I love, love that the bartender waived the fee and allowed us to share a meal. Because we start each meal with small plates a dinner each just isn't possible. This evening out was worth each dollar spent. We will definitely come back each time that we visit the coast. read more

Beautiful restaurant located inside a lovely resort hotel which provides great surrounding views of Taylor's Creek and the waterfront of that area. There is ample outdoor or indoor seating. Both areas kept nice and clean. Breakfast Crabcake Benedict- Initially a bit on the salty side, I had briefly mentioned this to my wait staff person when she asked how my meal was. A hallmark of good customer service and management was to make their customers happy. Despite not wanting to make a fuss over it, she must have mentioned it to her supervisor who promptly came out and explained that the Country style ham used for this dish might explain the extra saltiness. She was very nice and wanted to be sure I could enjoy my meal by readily offering to exchange the dish to exclude the country ham and replaced it with bacon instead. I was pleasantly surprised and really appreciated her quick response and remedy to the situation. Bonus point for that! The newly prepared dish came out as promised and I was able to enjoy my meal after this. I was also delighted that my request for morning coffee came with an additional carafe to enjoy about a good 3-cups without have to ask for a refill. The wait staff personnel were very friendly, periodically checked on how I was doing without being intrusive and she was able to give helpful information about their menu selections. I felt no rush to leave my table when my late sleeping husband decided to join me later too. The prices were very reasonable and they provide full service for their hotel guests by also offering room service, take out options and delivery to the poolside if you become hungry. An overall enjoyable experience for an out of town guest who was there for the first time for a wedding. Parking is by valet or you can do self parking which is a bit more of a distance. Just factor in the heat of the day when you visit the area. read more

living inside the gorgeous @beaufort_hotel_nc , you CANNOT go wrong with a visit. top notch ambiance, hospitality, menu & views. live music was a huge plus and we had the best night dancing solo to a local band! the scallops were to die for (I ate them all by myself as a starter lol) and the service was amazing. You'll be lucky if you land Tony as your waitress - she was an absolute gem and made our meal so fun! She also kept me company when my fiancé showed up an hour late from cutting himself shaving, and then again when he came and couldn't stop bleeding. Entertaining meal to say the least. read more

34 Degrees North has a beautiful dining location and a great vibe--the kind of place you want to fall in love with. The hostess was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance set the stage for what we hoped would be a memorable meal. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't get the memo. Our group ordered several steaks, and not one was cooked correctly. The seasoning was nonexistent--no salt, no flavor--just bland meat on a plate. The blackened red drum somehow came out flavorless and had three bones still in it. The four-cheese mac had potential but was crying out for salt and pepper, which wasn't on the table. The service from the bar didn't help--drinks took 49 minutes to arrive after we were seated with a reservation. As for the rest of the meal? Bland chicken tenders, an overcooked and dry burger that came out missing bacon and cheese--then hilariously (or tragically?) just bacon showed up. I had to ask again to get the burger remade with cheese. When it finally arrived, it was still dry and overdone. Another person in our group couldn't even finish theirs. This restaurant has so much potential. Great space. Friendly staff. But the kitchen? Either they're brand new, overwhelmed, or someone forgot the seasoning entirely. With a menu like this, this place should be a home run--but instead, it was a major swing and a miss. read more

This was a great place to stop while we were passing through the area. The restaurant is located in a larger hotel, which is super convenient. It is a bit pricier than other options, but you are paying for the convenient location and ambience. The drinks are delicious with plenty of options on the standard menu. Drinks are a bit pricey for the size, but that's a minor concern. Bartenders are super friendly and happy to offer local recommendations. We split a Reuben sandwich, which was delicious, and Mahi mahi tacos which were also very good. Great little spot for a quick bite and some good food! read more

We came here for an overnight stay for our 8th anniversary and were so excited to dine here as we'd heard so many good things. We arrived for our dinner reservation early as we wanted to relax, enjoy each others company and enjoy great wine. We started our dinner with a bottle of CAYMUS we'd brought along and ordered the charcuterie board. It was really a terrible board - the were slimy meats, the cheese was sooo hard and in blocks meats were we struggled to even be able to cut with the butter knife we were given, and the bread was like a thin long crouton that crumbled everywhere when you took a bite. The macadamia nuts were probably the best part. Then we had the pork shank - it was okay and was overpowered by the copious amount of sweet Thai chili on top. I had the Seafood Fra Diavalo and wedge. The dish was super tasty but was quite cold and the salad was less than average. My husband ordered the ribeye and the risotto. The steak was medium well (ordered medium rare) but really was the best feature of the night. The risotto was some of the worst flavored and textured food I've ever had in a restaurant, unfortunately. We got the chocolate tart and crème brûlée cheesecake. The tart was forgetful but the cheesecake was great. Our server was good - she was very attentive but you could tell she was [very] nervous. We did have breakfast the next morning and watched ponies across the way. I was so disappointed after the front desk had recommended chicken and waffles but it wasn't on the breakfast menu and even though I asked, I was told the chicken couldn't be prepared. I resorted to the Beaufort Benedict - it would've been 10x better without the hard dry toast and served on a proper English muffin. The honey dew on my fruit plate needed about 3 more days before it would've been tripe but the rest of it was good. The latte was great. The vibe of the restaurant, the wine wall, all of the plants, and the VIEW was worth our trip alone but the food could absolutely be stepped up a few notches. read more

We had a wonderful time here celebrating our engagement! We got engaged on the dock right outside the hotel, to cheers from restaurant patrons. We came up and all ordered delicious drinks, ate delicious bread, and had some of the best calamari we've had in NC. We were staying at the attached Beaufort Hotel for a long weekend, and ate every meal except one at this restaurant. The filet was so good, I ate it two nights in a row! While there, we ate breakfast, brunch, afternoon snack, and dinner and each meal was flawless. You can sit in the open restaurant or at the bar or bar area, and you'll be treated well. The bar tender, Robin, is a true gem and I hope they know how great she is! She's warm, fun, genuine, and so easy to talk with. It's surrounded by windows and you have a view of the water from every where. They have a huge wrap around porch with comfortable seating, too. This place will not disappoint. read more

This has the potential to be a really classy restaurant. Located at the Beaufort Hotel on a quiet road adjoining and overlooking a marina and waterway with boats and wild ponies sweeping past. We enjoyed our first sunset dinner here after check in to the hotel as a married couple. We're here for our "mini-moon" and loved it already. Inside is classy and comfortable with floor to ceiling windows to take in the beautiful water views, while outside is a lovely deck with a soft breeze and even better water views. As mentioned, at dinner we saw a wild pony on the nearby coast across the bay. Service at dinner was friendly and professional with suggestions made upon request. We split several items: -fish spread - good but too thick on the cream cheese that wasn't spread evenly throughout. But great fresh crackers provided. -wedge salad - not amazing - it came out like a plain chunk of lettuce with barely any dressing and 5 pieces of bacon, a few small pieces of blue cheese, and like two tomatoes. Not impressed at all. Wouldn't order again. -Grouper on parmesan risotto - this was good. Not amazing, but good. They had a bourbon bread pudding my husband was dying to try but we decided to wait for another night and the timing never worked out - they close early at 9pm for dining at the restaurant and room service and with our outings in town we never made it back in time. We also had breakfast here one morning and I was equally not impressed. I ordered a waffle and it came out basically cold. I didn't say anything and ate it bc it just wasn't worth complaining at that point. My husband ordered the Beaufort Benedict which was with crab cakes instead of canadian bacon. He enjoyed it but his toast was so hard he couldn't even chew it and the crab cake looked frozen. We also waited for about 20 minutes for someone to come greet us despite several staff walking past us - eventually, my husband went and got someone. Our server changed twice after that but the final one was a sweet younger waiter and they took 25% off the bill for our wait so that was a nice gesture. I know everyone is hurting for staff right now - so some things aren't such a big deal. But the cold waffles and hard toast, and disappointing wedge are more menu/kitchen/prep issues I wanted to note. There is a ton of potential here and it's a nice option to have so close by to the Beaufort Hotel and Marina area. It's expensive so they need to make a few tweaks to make it really live up to the potential here. read more

Everything was incredible! Our favorite part was the service. We had different servers each nice and both were very hospitable and knowledgeable. June 2025 we had dinner at 34. The last time was summer of 2023. The food quality has really gone down in 2 years. Our party of 4 all had complaints with their dinners. One person had grilled fish. The fish tasted spoiled and inedible. Another ordered chicken and it was very dry and tasteless. We will not be going back. read more

We split a sunburst salad to start. The salad was excellent -full of ripe blackberries, strawberries, candied pecans and feta cheese. The lettuce was fresh and tender. One night we came to 34 we had an amazing experience. Lindsey was amazing. We loved her service and ability to help with ordering off the menu. We came back on Saturday night to the bar. We ordered a 2 drinks a piece. I tried to order another drink for my husband and friend and the one female bartender said she couldn't serve us when one has a half a drink left. Okay, that was fair, I understand only serving one drink at a time per person. I watched her talk behind our back to the male bartender(the male bartender looked directly at me as she was talking). 5 minutes later when I was trying to get the bartenders attention, I ordered another drink for my husband and the other male bartender said "do you need another drink?" Rolled his eyes and continued to make the drink we ordered. I am extremely upset with this service at this type of hotel. I hope the hotel will honor this type of dis service. read more

My husband, 1 yr old and I had brunch here on our vacation. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. The service was perfect, and everyone was very personable and kind. They even stopped to talk to our daughter. The food was top notch, and the mimosas were on point! I can honestly say it's on of the best breakfasts I've had in my 39 years. Stayed in the Beaufort Hotel so obviously we had to try the restaurant attached. There were several weddings going on so it was quite busy and noisy. However, we made a reservation so we were seated and seen by our server very quickly. We started with the Calamari app. I got the Mahi with Red Beans and Rice and Fried Plantains, my boyfriend got the Ribeye with a side of asparagus. Everything was so delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly! The restaurant overlooks the water and Carrot Island but with the rainy weather we didn't see any horses but they can been seen out there.
