Sunshine-grilled mahi-mahi over a bed of rumba rice and peas, topped with brown sugar sauted plantains and tropical fruit.
    Karma B.

Was greeted by a friendly young woman and shown immediately led up a long staircase to a small dining room with 4 seated around a table more suitable as a 2-top. There were three large parties there at the same time and two servers to cover inside and outside so although quite a bit of time passed between check-ins, the servers were hustling. A woman wearing a hairnet and dressed for much cooler weather assisted the servers, which seemed strange. The AC was clearly not present/working because the room was HOT to the point of discomfort. There were also a LOT of flies. Our little table had 4 that would not give up so everyone ate with one hand and fanned flies away with the other. I felt sorry for the runners-- climbing those stairs with trays seemed like an accident waiting to happen. There are a pair of restrooms in the dining room that appear to be an afterthought addition. The bacon wrapped scallops tasted like they were frozen and the hushpuppies, a box mix. The blackened tuna was perfection but the purple quinoa salad was horrible and abandoned. Caribbean specialities' rasta pasta and sunshine-grilled Mahi Mahi were both highly regarded. In fact, one in our party chose the mahi mahi as the best dinner on our entire trip and hopes to learn how to replicate it at home. The check couldn't come quickly enough, however, due to the need to escape both the heat and the flies.

I'm so sorry, im not the type to write bad reviews but oh my goodness. The staff is super sweet but you can definitely tell they were stressed. Our food nearly took two hours to come out. Another table told us good luck bc they were there for over 3 hours! They told us the all the food is made to order but all of our food came out luke warm. Not a single steam in sight. My uncle sent his food back because of how cold it was. My crab cake was okay but my rice was over cooked and mushy again, the staff was super nice, just the management needs more work. I would not recommend coming nor would I ever come back. I also suggested this place because on google it was nearly 4 stars so I thought it was worth it, but I ended up paying the whole bill since everyone had a bad experience. Had the best meal & experience of my entire vacation eating out at this wonderful spot. We were given a perfect table for four on the top level balcony overlooking the ocean right as the sun was setting. The food was amazing all around and the drinks were top notch. Our server Patricia was absolutely AWESOME and feel blessed if you get her as your server because she is the best! Unpretentious and just all around top notch. I'll be dreaming of their Blackened Tuna 'til I can get back there. *And make sure to ask for a side of their House Made Jamaican Jam Jam Hot Sauce [but know it packs a heaty punch!]

Pick 2 boil. Not worth it

Some items were hit and misses The crab cake dish was amazing But the shrimp in the boils were visibly dirty Honestly only giving it a good rating bc the staff was on doing the best despite the high turnout that night and the fact we did not have reservations yet we were seated within the hour

    Nice view, terrible service.

Worst service I have ever received. We waited at our table for 2 hours. Crab dip was S L O W, but good. Fish and chips and grouper sandwich never came. Flagged down the waitress when said the fish and chips had been under the "warmer" for half an hour. Just waiting on my fish sandwich. Paid for our app and 2bdrinks and left. NEVER coming back.

Great location, forgettable dining experience. We sat on the upper deck and did not receive service for about 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Both parties on either side of us were seated and had drinks well after we arrived. I decided against ordering a bar drink due to this timeframe (we didn't get a drink menu to look at during this time either). When I went inside to use the bathroom there was a large group of waitstaff near the kitchen door. I think they just forgot to tell someone we were there honestly. The food was then okay. Prices did not reflect to their online menu by about $10 more for the steam pots. Will be looking for other choices next time we are in town.

My plate had a big chip in it.

The food was awful. Steaks and lobster were rubbery, conch fritters were burnt, hard & greasy, steamed little necks were covered in old bay seasoning, fried tomatoes pretty bad. My plate had a big chip. Service started off ok & went downhill. While my husband helped my mom down all the stairs to the car, I waited for her to return to bring the check. It was not handicap accessible, a lot of stairs for my 82 yr old mom. It was loud with dishes being dropped. For the price $223 & expect a tip of minimum of $50. I have never gave a bad review before. So disappointed.

We enjoy Atlantic Beach and our visits to Crab's Claw Oceanfront Restaurant and love the ambiance and service.

Crabs Claw is located right on Atlantic Beach, next to public parking which was very convenient. We made reservations for the top deck and were seated relatively quickly. When we were sat, it took about 20 minutes to be served, only after my husband asked another person on the wait staff if we could get our drink order taken. We noticed a lot of the people around us with empty drinks and wait staff having a lot of apologies for how long things were taking. We put in an order of conch fritters, which were okay. The sauce with them was an orange/pineapple sauce. My husband got a blackened mahi sandwich which he said was a little dry. I got a steam pot. I felt like the crab was a little over cooked, but overall it was tasty. Nice view on the top deck but probably wouldn't be back any time soon due to the service and mediocre food.

This place is the real deal. You definitely pay a lot. However, the food is absolutely worth the price you pay. This is a restaurant that talks the talk and walks the walk. The wedge salads is beyond comprehension how good it is. The bread is transcendent. I got the dry aged steak and my wife got the wagyu. Both were true to definition fine dining. My wife insisted on the truffle fries as a shareable side and by gosh they were the best fries ever had...that being said...wagyu 5oz is $130. You aren't going wrong here. We were down there on overcast chilly Sunday about 11 AM and there wasn't much going on, when we entered and went upstairs, it was quiet and that's what I was thinking the place was going to be dead, but as soon as we opened the door upstairs, you could tell it was a fairly busy place that has some good music and a fun ambience that seemed to attract a variety of people types and ages. It was a little different than I expected since it turned out to be more of a pizza place than a bar, but I had a great time and the food we had was very well prepared, flavorful, filling, and I was blown away by all the different types of breakfast pizza options they had as well as some sandwiches and some quality sides. The staff was very pleasant and super efficient and on a warm day in the summer they would have all of their windows open so you could get a natural breeze and airflow, and I'm sure it would be quite the fun time. Once we were finished, we went downstairs to the lower section and while there was nobody in there and it was dead, you could tell this was the party place during the summer or evenings and weekends, so I will give it another shot when I'm in town next time.

The bartender was busy working and singing in between taking orders as she prepared drinks for customers. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and offered the specials before we placed our order. We love to sample the menu when we travel and the vast menu of tapas gave us the perfect opportunity to try just about everything. They had a smaller wine selection, but there was something for just about everyone. Our waiter was very attentive and offered suggestions on what to try if we were torn between several menu options. The Spanish lamb meatballs, truffle honey pork belly and rosemary beef were the tapas that stood out as the most flavorful and making us each want just one more bite. The Spanish meatballs were glazed with sriracha which caused me to pause before ordering. However, I'm so happy that we gave them a try. They had a bold flavor, but the whipped feta and cilantro were enough to balance the heat. The truffle honey pork belly was sliced differently. We have only had this cut into cubes at other restaurants in the past. The way that they slice the pork belly is so much better. The pork belly was served with cheese grits. We don't even like cheese grits, but could not get enough of these smoked Gouda grits. The rosemary beef with asparagus and mashed potatoes was perfect. The beef was tender, the asparagus cooked to perfection and who doesn't love mashed potatoes. We visit the crystal coast about twice a year and always try a couple of new places.
