I ordered the blackened sweet heat snapper and it was outstanding! My daughter's Rasta Pasta and my husband's Cajun shrimp platter was also a hit! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved eating out on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though it's summer, the patio was breezy and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu.

Pick 2 boil. Not worth it

Some items were hit and misses The crab cake dish was amazing But the shrimp in the boils were visibly dirty Honestly only giving it a good rating bc the staff was on doing the best despite the high turnout that night and the fact we did not have reservations yet we were seated within the hour

Had the best meal & experience of my entire vacation eating out at this wonderful spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were given a perfect table for four on the top level balcony overlooking the ocean right as the sun was setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was amazing all around and the drinks were top notch. Our server Patricia was absolutely AWESOME and feel blessed if you get her as your server because she is the best! Unpretentious and just all around top notch. I'll be dreaming of their Blackened Tuna 'til I can get back there. *And make sure to ask for a side of their House Made Jamaican Jam Jam Hot Sauce [but know it packs a heaty punch!]

    Nice view, terrible service.

Worst service I have ever received. We waited at our table for 2 hours. Crab dip was S L O W, but good. Fish and chips and grouper sandwich never came. Flagged down the waitress when said the fish and chips had been under the "warmer" for half an hour. Just waiting on my fish sandwich. Paid for our app and 2bdrinks and left. NEVER coming back.

Great location, forgettable dining experience. We sat on the upper deck and did not receive service for about 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Both parties on either side of us were seated and had drinks well after we arrived. I decided against ordering a bar drink due to this timeframe (we didn't get a drink menu to look at during this time either). When I went inside to use the bathroom there was a large group of waitstaff near the kitchen door. I think they just forgot to tell someone we were there honestly. The food was then okay. Prices did not reflect to their online menu by about $10 more for the steam pots. Will be looking for other choices next time we are in town.

Was greeted by a friendly young woman and shown immediately led up a long staircase to a small dining room with 4 seated around a table more suitable as a 2-top. There were three large parties there at the same time and two servers to cover inside and outside so although quite a bit of time passed between check-ins, the servers were hustling. A woman wearing a hairnet and dressed for much cooler weather assisted the servers, which seemed strange. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The AC was clearly not present/working because the room was HOT to the point of discomfort.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were also a LOT of flies. Our little table had 4 that would not give up so everyone ate with one hand and fanned flies away with the other.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I felt sorry for the runners-- climbing those stairs with trays seemed like an accident waiting to happen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a pair of restrooms in the dining room that appear to be an afterthought addition.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bacon wrapped scallops tasted like they were frozen and the hushpuppies, a box mix. The blackened tuna was perfection but the purple quinoa salad was horrible and abandoned. Caribbean specialities' rasta pasta and sunshine-grilled Mahi Mahi were both highly regarded. In fact, one in our party chose the mahi mahi as the best dinner on our entire trip and hopes to learn how to replicate it at home. The check couldn't come quickly enough, however, due to the need to escape both the heat and the flies.

Great unusual menu with seafood standards as well. Attentive service and a pleasant, active setting. Definitely will plan to go there again.

Yo, the internet homies steered me wrong! Shame on y'all!…read more I got the shrimp burger with smoked gouda mac and cheese. The shrimp were criminally overcooked, and the mac needed salt in the worst way. They didn't salt the pasta water (or salt it enough), and the mac was really sad, as a result. My friend got the soup of the day combo, which were were told was a "white bean and basil soup", but I'll be danged if it didn't come out with the most garbanzo-y looking white beans I've ever seen in my life. She said it tasted like they dumped rotel, chickpeas, and pesto into a pot and called it soup, and not in a good way. My wife got the smoked wings. She said the flavor was good, but they were brought out lukewarm and very lightly sauced (she's an extra saucy kind of lady). We got two cocktails, a cherry limeade slushie and a Kill Devil Hills Pain Killer. We were told the cherry limeade was made with just cherry mixer, lime, and vodka, but it definitely tasted like it had coconut in it, and my wife hates coconut. The Pain Killer I got was acceptable, but we ordered it with our food, and it didn't come out until I'd almost finished my dinner. The vibes in the place were meh, but fine (especially if the food/drinks were good), but the tables were extremely sticky across their entire surface, so either someone sucks at cleaning, or the finish on the tables was failing and needed to be sanded down/refinished. We did get a side of sweet potato fries that were pretty dope, but they didn't make up for the disappointment of everything else. 1 out of 5 stars; do not recommend.

This place is the real deal. You definitely pay a lot. However, the food is absolutely worth the price you pay. This is a restaurant that talks the talk and walks the walk. The wedge salads is beyond comprehension how good it is. The bread is transcendent. I got the dry aged steak and my wife got the wagyu. Both were true to definition fine dining. My wife insisted on the truffle fries as a shareable side and by gosh they were the best fries ever had...that being said...wagyu 5oz is $130. You aren't going wrong here. Great meal, great service, worth the time and $$. It is rare to get a good deal and still spend $$$$ these days. This is the spot.

We were down there on overcast chilly Sunday about 11 AM and there wasn't much going on, when we entered and went upstairs, it was quiet and that's what I was thinking the place was going to be dead, but as soon as we opened the door upstairs, you could tell it was a fairly busy place that has some good music and a fun ambience that seemed to attract a variety of people types and ages. It was a little different than I expected since it turned out to be more of a pizza place than a bar, but I had a great time and the food we had was very well prepared, flavorful, filling, and I was blown away by all the different types of breakfast pizza options they had as well as some sandwiches and some quality sides. The staff was very pleasant and super efficient and on a warm day in the summer they would have all of their windows open so you could get a natural breeze and airflow, and I'm sure it would be quite the fun time. Once we were finished, we went downstairs to the lower section and while there was nobody in there and it was dead, you could tell this was the party place during the summer or evenings and weekends, so I will give it another shot when I'm in town next time.

The bartender was busy working and singing in between taking orders as she prepared drinks for customers. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and offered the specials before we placed our order. We love to sample the menu when we travel and the vast menu of tapas gave us the perfect opportunity to try just about everything. They had a smaller wine selection, but there was something for just about everyone. Our waiter was very attentive and offered suggestions on what to try if we were torn between several menu options. The Spanish lamb meatballs, truffle honey pork belly and rosemary beef were the tapas that stood out as the most flavorful and making us each want just one more bite. The Spanish meatballs were glazed with sriracha which caused me to pause before ordering. However, I'm so happy that we gave them a try. They had a bold flavor, but the whipped feta and cilantro were enough to balance the heat. The truffle honey pork belly was sliced differently. We have only had this cut into cubes at other restaurants in the past. The way that they slice the pork belly is so much better. The pork belly was served with cheese grits. We don't even like cheese grits, but could not get enough of these smoked Gouda grits. The rosemary beef with asparagus and mashed potatoes was perfect. The beef was tender, the asparagus cooked to perfection and who doesn't love mashed potatoes. We visit the crystal coast about twice a year and always try a couple of new places.
