He called in the morning and made an appointment for 4pm but when he came in for his 4 pm appointment, the barber was not ready for him, there were three people ahead of him in line! So he sat and waited his turn. When it was finally his turn, the barber decided it was his break time. He finally got his haircut at 5:45pm, nearly 2 hours after his so-called "appointment" time. What a joke. I don't care how good the haircut is, the barber can't mis-manage his schedule so badly and expect to keep steady customers.

Based on that assurance, I drove 40 minutes to the salon, only to arrive and have the stylist look at me and tell me that she could not do it because she did not "have experience." What makes this even more frustrating is that this could have easily been determined during my initial phone call. I would have appreciated an honest answer upfront rather than being asked to drive 40 minutes for something that could have been addressed before my appointment. For context, I have thin, soft hair with a loose curl pattern. I understand that a stylist may not be comfortable working with every hair type or extension method, and I have no issue with someone being honest about their limitations. What I do have an issue with is being told over the phone that my hair would not be a problem, only to be turned away after making the trip. The experience unfortunately left me feeling unwelcome and questioning whether clients with hair like mine or my skin tone.. a warm honey cinnamon color are just not allowed in her seat. I will say that the assistant was very sweet and genuinely seemed sorry about what happened. She made an effort to help me find someone closer, and I appreciated her kindness. Unfortunately, the stylist's customer service left a lot to be desired. A little transparency and professionalism upfront would have saved me a significant amount of time and frustration.

According to the screen we had 5 minutes left, when my 7yo had to go to the bathroom. I started to head back, but was stopped and told the bathroom isn't open to the public. One lady suggested I go to the Giant at the end of the shopping center and come back. Even though I waited so long this is such bad business I felt I had to leave. None of the employees were mean about it, I didn't cause a scene or dig in my heels or anything. I don't know if it's policy that comes from above, or what the reasoning would be behind this, but especially because they advertise haircuts for children, this is such bad business. They should at least put a sign on the door that customers can't use the restroom. Never thought I'd be writing a review based on a bathroom, but here it is. Awful customer service.
