This is a pleasing review…read more I stopped in looking for a hat. I work close by and have been told they have a few to choose from. Unfortunately, due to the holidays they were low on stock and none were to my liking. But, I noticed they had a bar upstairs. Since I wasn't able to spend time hunting for a hat, I had time for a beer. Typically, I search for breweries, but in this case I opted for a beer. This one did not disappoint me. I am a Guinness fan, but 99% of the pubs stores their kegs next to the others beers. To me that is a no-no. I am not interested in drinking frozen beers which kill my taste buds. But then I heard the owner prefers the drink at a warmer level. Here, they actually store the keg in a different location. The pour allowed me to sip the black stuff within a minutes time after it settled. Wow I'm impressed. As for the place, it is a bit more pricey than the burbs, but not astronomical as some may think. Always great music and conversations with the stylists, I have a local barber I see regularly these days but they weren't comfortable with a special request I had after dying my hair so I gave Old Bank a call. I went to see Dante on a Wednesday at noon and he was not only a pleasure to talk to but did a great job giving me a Mohawk which I have gotten a ton of complements on. They are very affordable and even provide straight razor shaves. Genuinely one of the best places to get a haircut in Baltimore.

Every time I come in, she's the first to greet me and immediately makes me feel super comfortable, like I'm at a friend's house instead of a storefront. This is all due to Jasmyn's handiwork, but I've never left Bella without 100 compliments from the staff and patrons. However, they have made great changes and arrangements at Blue Spark to deal with COVID. - Appointments are now 1 hour, which allows them ample time to do clean up. I chatted for a while after my cut and they were VERY thorough with clean-up. Absolutely everything was sprayed down, even clippers that I don't think he used. - Seats are spaced 3 apart, so basically they are using Steve's seat and Bill's seat, at least when I was there. - While I was there, I was the only customer in the place. I think if they both had appointments it would have just been 2 customers. There is a rule of only 1 client per barber at a time in the shop, so I waited outside until he came out. The next guy came in right at 4. - Everyone wore masks the whole time. When he needed to do my sideburns he just asked me to take it off my ear and hold it on my cheek. No problem, just took a minute. While I miss the great banter Blue Spark is known for, that will be back one day. We just need to abide for a while and support them so that they are still around when COVID is over.

She was very methodical, not just using shears like a Supercuts bargain basement cut. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, price seemed very reasonable. Side note, Mason and the other woman who work there are quite competent while both men seemed a bit off. A guy swept up and felt the need to remind the women that he was going out of his way and deserved a commendation for extra sweeping duty. When the other woman spelt, she just swept without reminding others of her efforts as she passed. The other guy asked me to why I didn't ask permission before taking pictures. Jeez.

When I parked and headed for the door one of the barbers (Scott) opened the door for me and quickly asked me who I had an appointment with. I advise I was a walk-in and he asked me what kind of cut I wanted, and if I had a picture of the look I was trying to achieve. Pretty Cool, except I couldn't find the picture and didn't know how to describe the simple cut I was needing. But, once I described it he figured out what he could do and walked me to his chair. It was a good cut and didn't take that long. We actually had a lot in common which kept us talking while I looked around the shop because I was fascinated by all the nostalgia. When I left he gave me a punch card. Come back with a fully punched card, which is seven cuts, and you'll be rewarded with the regular priced haircut for free.

The powders were all empty, and the jars all had chunks missing out of them. When I reached out to their store, they tried to gaslight me into thinking I didn't know the powders would be light. I even sent photos to their email to which they just responded that they were going to send a return label. No offer to re-send new product, nothing. I've never received such poor service from a store. How bad does an establishment have to be to allow their employees (intentional or not) to pack returned/used items to fulfill an order. This whole situation is so bizarre. Never again.
