September 2021 Cape Coral , Florida I moved to Hurricane country ( Florida ) last year and purchased a single family home ... 3 Bedrooms ... 2 Baths etc The thought occurred to me that I would need to secure my new home against hurricane force winds should One occur while I'm in residence. Most Floridians have metal shutters that they place over their windows when a hurricane is expected. That requires running around like a chicken with it's head cut off while placing the shutters over every window in the home. All this , sometimes under stormy weather conditions. That thought ( running around like a chicken ) did not appeal to me. So, I contacted Storm Solutions and arranged to have a price quoted for a complete set of Hurricane resistant impact Windows installed on my home. A price was agreed upon which also included a new side door to the garage AND an Accordion Shutter to protect my Lanai. Lucas and Jesus were in charge of installing the windows while Blake installed the Accordion Shutters on my Lanai. All of the work was performed in a professional manner with great attention to detail. The actual Instal required about 4 days. There was a 2 month wait however for the custom windows to be constructed. After the Instal a 2 man crew arrived to finish the job by covering over the screws in the newly installed windows. Mark and Ken did a nice job on the finishing touches. The house is now afforded hurricane protection without using unsightly metal shutters over the windows. I would recommend Storm Solutions for any hurricane protection needs desired to protect your home. The customer service provided by Storm Solutions was also excellent. I might add however , hurricane impact Windows are more costly than shutters , but the impact Windows provide a better "look". Photos to follow ... read more

Customer service is terrible. You wait two weeks for service for them to tell you the motor is broken. Maybe another month or so by the time they get back with screen stuck down in beautiful weather. They say they only have one three man crew for install and service. Thought they were a larger company than that. read more

I typically write reviews only when something is either very good or very bad. My experience with Storm Solutions was excellent. I ordered custom made Hurricane Screens that were delivered on time. The communication from the Sales Rep to Scheduling person was prompt and accurate. The Installers and the electricians each showed up about 10 minutes early, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. What a great experience! I wish I had more like this. read more

I do not write a lot of reviews, but this company was so awesome, I felt I had to. I shopped 4 companies, and they were considerably lower than two big name competitors. They always showed up promptly when they said they would, and the job was done in a very professional manner. Shelby was great at follow up. After living in Florida for 14 years (part time), I can tell you not all shutter companies are the same. This ONE was OUTSTANDING! We love the shutters (a color the other companies did not offer) and have several jealous neighbors, as they went the limited choices some of the other companies told them they had to go with. We looked at a lot of companies for window installation. Went with Storm Solutions because of reviews and responsiveness during purchasing. Installation was first rate with experienced crew. After installation could not get person out to do final inspection. Never returned multiple requests to have him call us. Even though Storm Solutions pulled the permit and said they would take care of inspections, we had to set up final inspection. For $40k worth of windows, follow up after installation sucks. read more

One of our 19 year old shutters on our lanai broke and the other two were very noisy. We contacted five local companies to get them repaired. Only ONE, 'Storm Solutions', had a program for repair and maintenance. The other four companies gave excuses like, "we don't touch anything over 10 years old"... to... "take them down, get new ones and send yours to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC!" Before we spent $10,000 (remember the old ones have to be removed and disposed of properly) to replace them, we decided to have them inspected. Storm Solutions charged a fair amount for the initial one hour visit. The service tech, Kyle, determined we needed a motor replaced on the broken shutter (includes 5 year warranty) an extra hou for cleaning and lubricating. He took roughly 3 hours to complete all the work and clean-up. Take note... that our shutters have never been serviced! We've spent $700 in 19 years.... and they sound like new! NOTE: It took 3 weeks to get an appointment(of course this is season and they've been busy with Irma repairs) Just thought we'd pass this info along in case any of you are or will experience this particular service need. I would not recommend this company. I paid a fortune for hurricane doors and they all leak water under the track because they did not apply waterproofing. Their rep even sad they should have waterproofed it and the owner was rude, arrogant and would not stand behind his work. There are many other quality companies to work with. read more

They were the most responsive company I've worked with in ages. We couldn't ask for better service. I would give 5 stars but my windows have been stained by hard water sprinklers outside -- not the fault of Storm Solutions -- but it is a thorny problem I have to deal with. I don't know where to begin. We did our homework when looking for a contractor to replace all our windows and sliders in our home. We had numerous quotes, varying product suggestions, but in the end we chose Storm Solutions. The crew at first was very prompt and informative, but as time went on and issues arose, the crew became more difficult to work with and less responsive. We are now 4 months into this job and it's still not finished. The inspection passed 2 weeks ago and we still have not heard from them about coming back for the finish work. We were told it was a 2 week job. Mind you, this was a $26k job and the only time we hear from them is when we reach out. Spend your money with other reputable companies so you are a valued customer. My Husband and I recently purchased an older home that was in desperate need of new windows and sliding glass doors. We interviewed 4 companies and Storm Solutions was by far the most knowledgable and with the 10% discount we received had the best price. Our experience with Storm Solutions was Professional from beginning to end. Our Salesman answered all of our questions and provided us with a detailed proposal itemizing each window and door. On June 6th I called Storm Solutions for a quote. Today is July 18th. It has taken this much time for them to tell me that my need for hurricane covers for five windows at 5 feet by 15 inches is too small of a job for them. I was told that their installers did not want to get on my tile roof... too high for them but I can get on it at age 66! I was told to go to Storm Shutter Warehouse. Maybe you can do yourself a favor and start there. Might save you a month's worth of frustration trying to deal with this company. read more

We had a shower door installed in January of 2014. We were told it would resist water spots. We were told to clean it with mild dish soap if necessary and squigee after each shower. We have followed all of these instructions. We were told it had a 5 year warranty. Now that we have permanent water spots, they refuse to help without a new shower door purchase. I am in dispute with this company and will update my review if they offer the warranty they originally promised. For now, STAY AWAY! read more

Before moving to Cape Coral, I worked with contractors my entire life. I grew up working for my father's general contracting company and then as a factory rep working with general contractors for 30+ years. Working with the trades all these years, I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group of people then Storm Solutions I gave them the job because the salesman was quick to answer any questions and would work with my budget. Once the deposit check cleared it all changed. The workers showed up with no clear plan of what was needed or who was responsible for what work and it would be weeks between showing up and that was only after I complained about no work being done. One of the workers would bad mouth the company in front of us. I always asked them to call us before showing up and their answer was that the company should of called and when I complained to the office they say the workers should of called ahead . One time the office told me a trim piece would be coming in on Thursday, three weeks later I sent an email asking what is going on - they didn't reply or call they just showed up at 4.45 pm on a Friday to install it saying "we took it from another job to use on yours", (REALLY a custom door and another job had one just like it). When I was asking one worker about some problems his co-worker was out in the truck beeping the horn YELLING "let's go". Long story short, I hired them for a $26,000 window and door job in August and now its December 12 and the job is not complete and the really scary thing is they have known all along how unhappy I am but the sales person nor the owner have never contacted me. So once this is all done and they get final payment for causing me so much aggravation, who is going to stand behind the product? That's probably why people don't speak up about them knowing that they have to rely on them for service after the installation. read more
