DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR CHILD IS TRYING TO LEARN SELF-CONTROL AND FOCUS, THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT YOUR CHILD WELL . My son is 8 years old and is a very energetic, happy kid. He has challenges with focus and self-control at times which is precisely why we wanted to enroll him in the Krav Classes. He started in the Lil Dragons program, and after about 4 months he was promoted to the Juniors program because he was doing so well. HERE is where it gets sad...he was told we would "trial" the Juniors class to see how he would do. After 6 weeks, he having difficulty with focus and self-control in the larger setting, but was making improvements over the last few sessions based on staff report and my observation. This past Tuesday, he wasn't paying attention and accidentally punched another kid in the face with his glove on (not hard but I'm sure it still hurt...he apologized to the child and resumed the class). I recommended that we put him back in the smaller class considering that my son was thriving in Lil Dragons, and he was consistently practicing safe partner work in Lil Dragons so there is no reason he would not thrive there again. Trying out lil Dragons to see how he does again posed no risk to anyone's safety. He just has ongoing challenges with focus and self-control which impacted his performance overall in the larger class. My son in a smaller class size would have more adult support and less distractions which would ultimately help him focus. This issue with the partner work the other day was not aggression, it was a lack of focus that resulted in a punch to someone's face (focus is precisely what a smaller class would support and DID support as of 6 weeks ago). 360 Krav's response was that he wouldn't be appropriate for the Lil Dragons class either (even though he was doing so well there 6 weeks ago that he was promoted!)...effectively expelling him from the program altogether. How 360 Krav has handled this is totally unacceptable. You promoted him to "try" out a new class...it was not a good fit, and now you are not letting him go back to the class that he was successful in. This is a disgraceful way to teach...you are literally punishing a child for being brave enough to try something new and then failing at it. read more

Full disclosure, I had zero knowledge of Krav Maga before joining the academy. I am a remote employee who recently moved from south OC to Long Beach with my partner. One thing I wanted to do when I moved was to sign up for a class with my partner, and I wanted it to be something active. I used to do daily walks around my old suburban hilly neighborhood during my lunch hour, but realized the area where I am in Long Beach is not only completely flat, but also not exactly the safest. My partner was previously involved with 360 before they moved to the current location, and he signed us up for an intro to learn about the classes that were offered. As with most things new to me, I was a little hesitant, but somehow walked out of that first meeting signing up for a membership and the 6 week program. I went home with a little bit of regret, though embraced the decision because I am always open for something new and challenging, and I felt good about not being pressured into any commitment. When I thought about starting, I was afraid that when I came in, I would be completely lost, or that it would be uninteresting or intimidating. Much to my surprise, it was not intimidating at all, and I walked out of the first class already looking forward to the combinations I would learn in the 2nd class. I've now completed about 18 classes after my 6 week challenge. My partner exceeded his goal and lost 15lbs and I am super close to hitting my goal of 15lbs, considering I had 2 business trips and 1 leisure trip in the last 3 weeks. I've learned to be more conscious about eating; reading more labels and measuring intake, which has really helped to curb my emotional wfh snacking when I'm bored. Additionally, I really appreciate the Mom and Pop aspect of this academy - Candace and Alan are not only both super approachable, but are also really encouraging and motivational individuals. They are very helpful in correcting form, process, and confidence and I'm thankful to have made the decision to join 360, not only for the fitness aspect, but also the practicality of the education learned from the classes! read more

Here's a completely honest review based on my experience. This place is amazing! As a single mom and nurse, I was looking for a way to learn some form of self-defense. After researching several places, I found this one, and I can honestly say I highly recommend it. My background is mainly in fitness classes at the gym and dance classes--I have zero martial arts experience. I initially signed up for a trial, but then I saw they offered a six-week challenge with three classes a week and monitored nutrition. I thought, "Why not?" and decided to sign up for the full six-week challenge to get the complete experience. I've been blown away by how much my life has changed. Not only did I lose about 10 pounds in just three weeks, but it has also helped with my mental health and allowed me to learn so much about myself. The instructors are great at guiding you--they correct your form in a way that helps you learn how to throw punches and do combos correctly, so you can defend yourself properly if you're ever in a dangerous situation. The other students in the class are incredibly supportive, no matter their level. There's a strong sense of community, which has made learning the drills and combos much easier. Alan and Candace are awesome teachers and do a fantastic job instructing. Been with 360 for over a decade. Great place if you want to train for self defense and longetivity in a safe, friendly environment. Not for people who think concussions are something to be proud of I've trained at several martial arts schools for 5 years or so before 360. Martial art schools run the spectrum of too much art but would fall apart when encountering actual self defense resistance to the too hardcore that you get more brain damage from training than actual street fights. 360 is one of the few that finds that ideal balance and still thrives. We are constantly reminded how something has a high or low probability of success outside of controlled, friendly training conditions. Hand in hand with practical self defense is the goal of being able to be healthy and train indefinitely I seen the egomaniacs who have something to prove. They don't fit in and don't stick around. That's a good thing for the rest of us. There's also people who aren't willing to put in the work and it is work. Pushing your body and mental limits every time, every week over and over. It's not a mcdojo, it's not for that type who just wants to go through the motion. It also doesn't get old, the main instructor, owner isn't attached to any tradition. He only cares that it has a high success percentage. Even in his 50s he has the humility to start out as a beginner in a new style and hunger to become proficient at the different style. He passes that mindset on the school the so the curriculum is constantly evolving. He encourages us to learn from other styles but pressure test it. I saw their promotion on IG and wanted to check it out. Got a 10 day unlimited tryout for free and my son started loving it. At first, he was nervous and shy but couldn't wait to get a uniform and everything. The only reason why we didn't continue was because his father thought it would be too much between soccer and homework and this so we figured we'd finish the trial and wait until after soccer season to try again. My son began taking Krav Maga classes over four years ago when he was about 8 years old. He was not very athletic and a bit awkward. Over the past four years, I have watched him grow in strength, agility and intensity. I have trained at 360 Krav Maga Academy with Alan Predolin for 12 years, and I travel 40 miles roundtrip from West LA to Long Beach every Saturday to train with him. Why? Over a year later, and I love this gym more than ever. Forget nine hours a week! At one point I was coming in closer to twenty!!! For me, that's insane. I'm the type of girl who uses her 24 hour fitness membership two times a year, so this type of work out schedule is a miracle for me. I hate exercising, so any place that can motivate me to get my butt in gear this often is a God sent! And it's fun too!!! What more can you ask for? I took six months off due to an injury (non-gym related), and was really worried about coming back in. However, all my trepidations were totally unnecessary. The trainers, the students, even the owner himself welcomed me back with open arms, modifying routines and motivating me to push harder all with friendly smiles and warm encouragement. This is the real deal. One of the best schedules I have seen, with classes Monday through Saturday, during the mornings, afternoons and evenings. There is BJJ, kickboxing, HDX (think Crossfit only better) and OF COURSE, Krav Maga. There aren't many places in the 562 that have Krav Maga. Most are in OC or of course, there's LA. But this place not only exists in the Long Beach area, but it's legit. I also really love this place because of the culture of the gym. Everyone is friendly. Egos are checked at the door. Teachers are respectful and helpful. Matt is great in particular. One downside is the lack of parking. Some classes fill up, so the small lot they have in the back also fills up. It's in a weird industrial part of Signal Hill, and street parking is also full there. So get there early, or be prepared to walk a ways. Another downside is the location. Signal Hill is a pain in the ass to get to. You can exit 405 and Lakewood and go down Willow, which is what I did . . . but like I said, it is in a weird part of Long Beach. The price is on the heftier side - $150/month and a one year contract - but really, the quality of training you get is well worth it. Not to mention being in good health (kickboxing bag class + HDX will definitely get you there and beyond) and being able to defend yourself is priceless. read more

1 year-ish update, but I was out for a couple months with a cranky gallbladder. About a year, 35 pounds and a few inches off my waist later (been punching new holes in my uniform belt), I'm still standing. Classes are practical; you'll learn techinques ABCD and combine them to combo E. Somewhat like algebra, but none of this "solve for x" or "factor"...more like "do a two-hand pluck and an simutaneous knee to the groin". Brutal, effective and fairly easily learned; doesn't matter much if your a 120# girl squaring off with 240# me...you kick someone in the nuts and they'll go down. They have a new-ish progression system; you used to have to test to advance in rank (as well as attend a pre-test class and pay a fee, but I couldn't test as I work Saturdays) but now they have a card-based system. You get your card from the file, bring it to the instructor, they initial it and when you've taken enough classes, you advance. I'm thinking they have mandatory testing at the higher levels but this way folks that have weird days off can actually advance (also proabably a good client rentention technique). Classes, not just Krav and Strike Lab, but the Crossfit (need to do more of this) and Bootcamp are very synergistic; you get in shape with Crossfit, which makes some of the Krav techniques easier and the Strike Lab will fine-tune your striking skills which make you more precise in Krav. Just be careful, people can get hurt (I've bruised knees, elbows and knuckles) and it's not uncommon for folks to get headbutted (gal got a nice knot tonight). read more

This was not stated to me when signing up which is fine but guess what..i did move 50 miles away i changed all billing to new address and in the end they requested a full new ID with my new address. All in all they charged me for 4 months i never attended for a total of 600$ and I'M STILL AM FIGHTING TO CANCEL IT. Get a new company to handle your billing 360 Do better.. read more

So I signed my fiancé a friend and myself up for the free trial for the kickboxing class here at 360, and they worked us out in a way we never would've thought. First off Jessica was great at getting us registered and letting us know what we needed for the class very courteous person when we got there she had gave us a tour and handed us our gloves which needed for our workout. So as soon as 7pm hit our class was going to start and let me tell you a little about myself im a 6'0 out of shape man and this class got me me pretty good I was nervous cause I was new to something like this, I got bored of the stationary same ol routine at the gym that's why I was never motivated at my local gym, the instructor that taught the class ( I apologize I forgot his name) was a great down to earth person who worked with each and every student to motivate them and show them the proper technique. I was already dying during the warmup cause I'm so fat and out of shape, but I hung in there throughout the class but let me tell you it was a great full body workout cause I felt the soreness after the class and I'm still feeling it till now but soreness equals progress and a new beginning for myself. I really am considering in signing up with 360 gym and hopefully I can get back the energy I've been long looking for. They also offer a cross fit class as well as their Krav Maga self defense class I'm actually considering taking that class as soon as I get in the shape I need to be with the kickboxing class. You might think the price is a little expensive but for someone who wants to get back into shape and learn a new technique this is place for you, remember your health doesn't have a price tag its up to you to take care of yourself and your body. This is a great place to train. All of the instructors are excellent and they have a great culture and member base. Everyone there is really cool. You get more than your money's worth and there is a ton of programs and classes. I've trained here for almost three years and there is much you can get out of it if you just show up on a regular basis. Kyle and especially Alan are experts in Krav Maga, they will train you to think and fight practically without a bunch of show boat non-sense. Vick and Kyle's kickboxing classes will get you in serious shape in a hurry. There's also Bootcamp classes, BJJ and yoga. You really can't ask for more from a club. There are a few negative reviews on here and they are all about the billing company called ASF Payment Solutions. Understand, any gym you go to is going make you sign a contract because it takes a lot time administrative time (money) to constantly process cancellations. The only thing you really need to understand is if you don't zero your balance ASF WON'T CANCEL your membership and will continue to charge you. That's what the negative reviews are in reference to. So say for instance, you decide next month you can't/ don't want to go to the gym anymore. Under the terms, unless it's 30 days before the next billing cycle you will have to pay for the next month to cancel. Even if you already fulfilled a 1-Year contract obligation, and are on a month to month basis. If you were to dispute paying for the next month they would still charge you anyway under the terms of your contract. If you were to tell them not to charge your card or the card expired they will attribute it to a balance. At this point they would still not cancel your membership. ASF Payment Solutions could keep billing you, for 3 years. (under CA law) So under the contract terms ASF PAYMENT Solutions can keep billing you every month for 3 years. In theory if they kept billing you and you didn't pay the balance it could accrue thousands of dollars which you would be liable to pay in order for them to stop billing you and cancel your membership. I doubt this has ever happened, at least here. But in theory it is possible by the terms of the contract. That said, this is basically every gym membership contract. 360 is a great gym and they would probably work it out with you if you ever had an issue. Final word: Great place to train with cool people and awesome staff! Read your contract. read more

The relationship between 360 and my family started great. We signed right away. The professor Marcelo is a great teacher. Our kids absolutely love him. Abruptly Marcelo was no longer teaching with no explanation. One of his students took over the class. And with no explanation. We decided to follow Marcello to his new studio livjits and pull our memberships here at 360. What a pain in the butt it has became. Their payment processing center continue to charge us after we called and cancelled. We have attempted to dispute the charges with no luck. At this point we're going to consider it a loss and go our separate ways. Be careful when choosing. read more

Bought a package of 10 classes on groupon. I was so nervous about going in... because I knew it was going to be a bunch of cocky douchebags who judged the weakling in me. I'm glad that I ate those words! First, everyone is really, really nice on the staff. No judgment, no "why is he here" attitude. I came here years ago (I want to say 2013) when they only had Krav Maga and Kickboxing but I tore a meniscus so I have been out of commission for awhile. However I have returned and the gym is so much more than before. I tried the Thai Boxing and I'd have to say it is awesome! I also enrolled my daughters and stepdaughters in the kids class and all 4 of them LOVE IT! They ask to go Monday - Thursday. I recommend for anyone trying to get into MMA for fitness or fun to try this gym out at least once. Ask for Abel...he is really cool and will get you set up quickly. read more

My home away from home. Where I get the crap beaten out of me day in and day out. I started out in the bootcamp classes a year and a half ago. I was a saggy, doughy version of myself, and had nightmares before the first day that the class would consist of tight-bottomed soccer moms in matching sports bras doing way too many reps with baby weights. Even the dude who answered the phone, Jesse, sounded buff. I was pretty sure they would eat me alive, and then laugh about it later. Turns out, no one there wears a sportsbra unless its appropriately covered by a t shirt, preferably with an agressive slogan on it. (Don't get me wrong, sportsbras are pretty necessary here. But fashion, not so much.) There aren't any soccer moms, as far as I can tell, but a good mix of men and women, from beginner to strong-as-an-ox. And Jesse, sure, he's about as buff as his voice indicated, but he's also the most knowledgeable and encouraging coach I've ever had. Not in a "way to go" sort of way, but in a "I know you can do more stop being a pansy" sort of way. And that works for me. So in bootcamp you're constantly switching it up, surprising your muscles, and doing insane things with weights as big as you think you can handle. For the first week or so, I strongly considered wearing a diaper fulltime, as I was so sore I could barely get my pants down and up again. But when I got a little better at bootcamp, I figured I'd try crossfit. After a year of doing it, I'm still excited when I am capable of doing the workout "as prescribed." They're just that hard. I am so much faster, so much stronger than I used to be. But it wasn't until last fall when I summonsed the gumption to try Krav Maga. Holy crap. Addictive. Emotional. Violent. Yes, I had to be taught how to choke someone because I sincerely didn't have a clue, but now I have every confidence in the world that I could send someone's nuts up through their throat using my fists and feet. Its satisfying, and practical. The people are awesome. We get all types. I'm inspired every day by the people working out next to me. We push each other to work harder, and then tally our bruises together afterward. The instructors are awesome. All of them. And they're serious about technique and skill. Rest assured, you're not going to be taught anything but the most precise and current Krav skills- this is not "Cardio-Krav 101." Alan, the owner, is the highest ranking Krav practictioner in the US. And he's a perfectionist when it comes to who he allows to teach at his school. Give it a try, but be warned. 360 Krav Maga will suck you in. And suddenly you'll be trying to figure out how you can work 3 different hour-long classes into your daily schedule. It might be the end of you. read more

I have trained with Alan Predolin for 5 years and I don't have enough adjectives to describe him. He is highly skilled, patient, kind, and a wonderful instructor. He takes great pride in his students and seems to take a special interest in all of them. He also continues to train himself and is always learning new techniques and adapting his teaching, despite already being a black belt in Tae Kwondo, Krav Maga, kickboxing, and an expert in many other forms of martial arts including BJJ. I had my first class of Karv Maga yesterday and it was such a great experience. The instructor was very helpful and would talk me through if i wasn't doing something correctly. The regulars were also very helpful and I didn't feel out of place. The front office girl was so sweet, and took me on a tour of the place when i arrived. She even gave water to one of the students that forget to take his own. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. read more

I have been coming to 360 for a few months now and have to say that I am probably even more impressed now than after the first class. Every instructor is very cool and helpful to all levels of students, from the people who seem to be there for every class to those who are there for the first time. Over the past few months, I have seen improvements not only in my technique, but also in my overall level of fitness. If you are looking for an enjoyable way to get a great workout and learn some very practical self defense at the same time, definitely give 360 a shot. Also, as a response to the review that stated that the front desk crew, instructors, and managers are not helpful/professional/friendly: Everybody I have encountered at 360 has been tremendously professional and courteous to me and everybody else I have seen them interact with without exception since I started going there. I am not sure why the reviewer had a bad experience, but I can say that, based upon my 3 months at this gym, it is not one that is shared by myself or the people I have interacted with there. read more

Great Instructors and vibe. High level teaching and technique. Alan gets how to teach people and connect. Expectations goes beyond the school, be responsible in and off the mat is what he preaches to adults and youth. All the instructors at 360 are very competent. I have been training in different martial arts since I was little, and when I moved to SoCal for school I found 360. Going on two years with 360 I can honestly say it has been well worth my time and money. One big thing that stands out to me with 360 is that they are constantly updating and improving the curriculum. Get ready to kick some a##! I found out about 360 Combat Club one night while watching a local commercial on Cable TV. I went the next day, and I still haven't left. That was 4 years ago. This is about serious self-defense techniques taught by approachable people who let you know that they are there to help YOU become the most effective self-defense weapon you can be. No B.S.; no head trips; no super complex routines to memorize. Direct, effective and deadly, but with an accessible discipline. It's also physically challenging enough to start you and keep you on the road to top physical fitness. There's a school in Signal Hill/Long Beach, and there's one in Tustin. I love it! read more
