Proof they received my cancellation notice

I've never experienced such dishonest and unethical business practices. Stay far away from Hardcore Fitness - Long Beach. In January 2025, I submitted a certified cancellation letter with medical documentation due to a health condition that physically prevents me from using gym facilities. The contract I signed (Section 7.1b and 7.4) clearly states that in the event of disability, I have the right to cancel without penalty with proper documentation and 30-day notice. They received my certified cancellation letter on January 22, 2025. I have the receipt, tracking, and medical notes to prove it. Instead of honoring the contract, Hardcore Fitness continues to: - Send harassing past-due notices - Demand I fill out online forms and book a call with management, which are not required under the signed agreement - Ignore repeated written requests for confirmation - Claim staff "can't process cancellations," even though they confirmed receipt of my letter via text I even sent a detailed email to their management (Rick) with screenshots, proof of delivery, and a clear breakdown of what the contract says. No resolution. Just more harassment. I've since filed formal complaints with: - The Better Business Bureau - The California Department of Consumer Affairs And I'm fully prepared to pursue legal action if they don't immediately stop their predatory billing practices. I've saved every document and message. This isn't just bad customer service -- it's intentional, manipulative, and illegal. If you're considering joining, read the fine print and pray you never need to cancel.

Hardcore Fitness Long Beach Changed My Life! I've tried every group fitness studio under the sun and nothing compares to Hardcore Fitness Long Beach. Most places I've been to just have some dumbbells and bodyweight stuff, and it gets super repetitive. But here, It's on a whole other level. They have custom-built equipment you won't find anywhere else, and the workouts feel more like something you'd get with a personal trainer -- except you're learning it all in a group class setting, with coaching the entire time. They actually teach you proper form and how to use everything safely and effectively. You don't just show up and guess what to do so you learn. There are multiple levels for every workout, so even if you're just starting out, you're never left behind. And the trainers are next-level. they motivate you, correct your form, push you when you need it, and genuinely care. Oh, and the accountability? Unreal. If I miss a few days, I'm getting a text or call checking in. You're not just another body in class -- they actually notice when you're gone and want you to succeed. And don't even get me started on the custom meal plans. I've tried so many "diets" over the years that felt miserable... but here, they built one just for me with foods I actually love. I can't even believe it's a diet -- and the results speak for themselves: Down 50 lbs and built a booty from what used to be a pancake butt The kickboxing HIIT classes are so much fun, the vibe is electric, and the community is unmatched. They educate you, support you, and go above and beyond every single time. If you're thinking about trying it, DO IT. Hardcore Fitness Long Beach is the best in the world -- truly unbeatable.

So I've been active and workout 6-7 days a week for years... but on my own and creating my own workout plans, trying to figure out my own diets, etc. I felt like I hit a plateau in my workout and diet recently so I started just looking up gyms in the area. This was not the first gym that I researched online but def glad that I reached out. As much and as hard as I've hit the gym in the past, I haven't felt this sore after a 60 minute workout in years. The trainers are incredibly awesome and willing to help you at any level of fitness. I started just about 4 weeks ago (and I took a week off for vacation where I ate everything and anything in reach) and I still had good results. I've already felt changes and seen them on the scale. Big shout out to Daniel, Robert, Ethan, the Ricky's and Thomas. Y'all make working out fun and not torturous... most of the time

I've started doing PT sessions with Ethan to work on my form and focus on specific areas where I have weaknesses and it's been incredibly helpful.

I'm a big fan of Club Studio and have been going for years now. Here's why I love it:…read more* The Gym is well lit, has all the equipment you'd need, and is never too crowded (or empty) to help us stay motivated to work out. * The Studios have great marked spots for each person, with instructors who bring the energy and fun to their classes. Plus, I appreciate that every class starts on time. I personally can't get enough of the Hot Yoga with Sandi! * The amenities are plentiful with towels, hairdryers, lockers and plenty of spaces throughout with everything we need. * The service is great. The Club Manager, Ricky, excels at taking care of the members. * And, there's plenty of free parking so you're never stressed looking for a place for your car or bike. This is a fantastic facility. Check it out!

I'm a very happy customer here now for almost a year. My only complaints about Club Studio are…read morewhen they build gyms without a pool or jacuzzi (such as this one in Long Beach) and they don't have any designations for beginner or advanced levels in their classes. It would be really helpful if you weren't confronted as a yoga newbie with instructors trying to get you to do hand stands or the very challenging moves and weight lifts in the Pilates x Strength class. I think they need to give info to the members about difficulty ahead of time or section off some classes as beginner, etc. I belong to another Club Studio in a different city as well, so I'd have to say the staff at the front desk at this club can be a little unfriendly and inattentive compared to the other club. But I love most of the yoga teachers at this Club Studio, and I really think they made great choices in hiring Sandi, Kelly, Karen, and Jason. They all have great personalities and try to make the classes accessible for people with injuries or special problems . But if you're a senior with a lot of physical problems, this club is probably not for you. The emphasis is definitely on the youthful customer here, and I hope I can keep up with the classes for as long as I'm physically able before I have to go somewhere else less challenging.

Parking is weird, but mostly empty. Okay if you can stand the heat. I go here after work only…read morebecause other gyms are packed. First floor: weights, machines, stretching/free workout area. Sometimes smells like sweat and step up machine is chronically broken. Second floor: cardio, locker rooms/bathroom, pool, sauna. Wet/dry saunas and pool are coed. Bro it is HOT and stuffy up there. Good to build tolerance for running in heat tho lol. Parking: metered on ocean and free validation at the courthouse structure. See picture for more info.

When you get there they tell you…read moreif you sign up that same day you could lock in the rate of 27.99 a month and only pay $1 that day with the activation fee coming later in the month. Now for the gym. I don't know what their parking situation regularly looks like but I will never be coming back due to this. I had to park in a garage connected to the place then trek out to find the entrance which is not easy to find. You have to make she to validate the parking I believe but the worst part is that when you come back to the structure you need a 4 digit code to enter through a side door. I didn't know this and had to walk all the way back just to get it since they weren't able to give it to me over the phone. Don't even get me started on the construction which I hope clears up. Cuz that makes the entire arrival and leave experience such a burden. And I don't think this is in their control but it truly impacts their experience in It's small. This gym feels like they decided to cram it in a place that will make you feel like the ceiling is caving in. When I went inside they were sorting all the aluminum cans from the garbage by the stairs. And honestly this was nasty. It smelled and made traveling up stairs not great. And you need to cuz I think that is where the locker rooms are at. The AC was not working or maybe it was too crowded they couldn't get it any type of cold. The layout is not easy to access. I told myself I would try a few more locations and I have. Check out those reviews too but from how hard it is to park and how crowded it can get with such a cramped gym you should consider going to other 24 hr gyms in the area. I truly reccomended the Lakewood Mall 24hr over this one in every way.

I got greeted by the membership team and Geo(?) was really nice and answered all my questions and had someone come talk to me about the the fitness weight and fat checking machine. Pretty cool! Anyway, I signed up in June and have been coming because of my trainer, Mandee, AND the sauna and massage chairs! Only things missing are a pool & the red light machines but I go to PF for that. Things I need to figure out is when to come. It gets busy and sometimes all the booty machines are taken. Also, someone punched one of the punching bags so hard that it broke off the hook. I'm glad there was one more but it gets packed there sometimes too. Friday, my friend and I tried the Shapes class and it was tough but good! Gotta try more classes!

Customer service: The sauna hasn't been working for a long time. POV: me the very night before, in the HOT "broken" sauna. Me: I was here last night and it was working perfectly fine. Also, there isn't even a sign. Her: oh there should be a sign. [Hmmm, if it is an amenity that is broken wouldn't it be a safety violation for your thousands of patrons to have no signage for your sauna "that has been broken for a long time" ] Her (backtracking): oh, actually we have no way of turning the sauna on and off. [I was shocked at her audacity, because even after being caught in her lie. No remorse. Not even a slight apology. Which leads me to believe she is so solid with her supervisors who allow her to do stuff like this to not even apologies for her lie.] I walked out of the sauna to the majority of them hanging out in the customer service area - knowing they just watched her lie to me. Again makes me believe that their management not only allows her behavior, but most likely endorses it. Literally afraid to complain because I'm for sure going to be silenced. I'll figure out something. But for now this review will do. Customer service is abysmal, and second to their "hang out" time. Hopefully someone see's this and gets new management where customer service is at least somewhere in the building or at the very least much needed coaching for the entire team. Or a governing body to really audit and check what is going on with their lack of signage and the safety of the working-not-working amenities. The only star I am giving is for Jordan who works at night. He is the only one with the welcoming attitude and customer service. KUDOS TO YOU!
