I stopped by late Saturday night after the band had left. It was the only place that I was interested in stopping by for some drinks (I'm super picky). My first impression of this place was that they have the best crew & cocktails. I will have to return at a later date (but earlier in the night) to try some of their food. The server was not attentive at all having to ask for things in the food came out lukewarm when you have a menu item like beer, cheese, fondue with handy bacon that sounds so wonderful but I feel like what we got was a monkey dish full of nacho cheese sauce with some bacon crumbles very underwhelming. Food was a 5/5 with flavor but most was served just below hot. It was warm enough that you couldn't send it back but quickly chilled to "eat it quick or it won't be good". We got 4 appetizers - Butter shrimp was a 4/5 - flavor of shrimp was 5:5 but it should have been served on a crustier bread. Tuna sashimi was a 5/5. Loaded Mac b cheese was a 5/5. Pork belly was a 4/5 - a little bit simple and cabbage did not enhance. Service was the issue. We clearly articulated to our server that we wanted to work our way through the appetizers before we got to our mains, only to find that we received 3 of the 4 at the same time. And we had to get up from the table to get small plates to eat off of. We had salads for our main - me with the wedge which was perfect. He had the cup of soup and half Caesar salad. Soup was on the cool side and salad was average. It wasn't very busy yet it took quite a long time to get alcohol refills. We were passing through Cookeville on our way to Nashville and decided to stop at this little cute café. We got there a few minutes after they opened and they were already busy with many other tables being sad and about eight people in front of us. There was only one host on duty, so there was quite a long line forming behind us. Once we were sad, a very friendly server came over to take our drink order. The restaurant was cute with a lot of bar, seating, four or five high top tables and a few low top tables as well. It look like there was a door on the wall to open up for additional seating in another room, but it was not open while we were there. All of our food came out correctly, and it was extremely tasty. I had the spicy chicken Benedict and it was full of flavor with a large portion. It could've been hotter, but it was delicious. Mr. T had the Andouille and eggs would he enjoyed thoroughly. Other brunch selections for our table were the French toast, and the 37 deluxe. All of our choices received rave reviews. They only let down at the table was a brunch cocktail that I ordered, which had some sort of huckleberry flavor. It was uninspired and lacked any type of garnish or "specialness". Passing through the area and came across this place based off Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. The food here was pretty good. Our server was great. I don't recall her name, but she was short in stature and had a great personality. The only thing I found rather alarming was the fact a male employee walks in with a girl right behind him (I'm assuming it was his girlfriend) and they go straight to the drink machine that's along the back wall in the direction of the bathroom and self served them a drink. I ordered the meatloaf, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese. I subbed out the macaroni and cheese for mashed potatoes. They had run out of Brussels sprouts and I substituted asparagus. All items were delicious. Had a glass of red wine with my meal. This is the first time I have been to this restaurant. The size of my group was six . Four adults and two children. The restaurant provided some children menus . We arrived about 7:00 pm and was greeted with a 20 minute wait on a Monday night. The restaurant was very busy. This place has excellent food, a great staff, and a comfortable atmosphere for gathering with friends. I ordered their grilled ribeye steak meal ($25.00). This included mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. It was cooked to perfection (medium), looked amazing (with Andouille Demi Glacé), and it tasted delicious! A nice red Cabernet Sauvignon, "SIMI", went very well with it. The employee that waited on us was polite, helpful, efficient, and had a good sense of humor. WOW. We are visiting friends from Las Vegas. We went on a hike nearby and stopped by this restaurant on the way back to the Nashville area. I was actually shocked at how good the food was from a small restaurant in a small town, especially coming from such a well diverse city like Vegas. I ordered the Ole 37 burger (medium). The burger was cooked perfectly, thick and juicy, and great flavor. The house made buns were good as well, I just wish they came lightly toasted. But seriously, the burger! A week prior to coming here, we ate at Gordon Ramsay's Burger back home inside Planet Hollywood. The ole 37 burger was leaps ahead of the burger I had at Gordon's in taste/flavor. My wife had fried chicken mac and cheese. I tried some of hers and we had some leftover to take home. This was honestly the best mac n cheese I've probably had before. I'm. it a fan of chicken in Mac n Cheese either but wow! the chicken was fried perfectly and the cheese flavor was delicious. I'm hungry just thinking about it! We came during a slow time but the ambience inside was great. The lights and decor made for a pleasant experience. If you're anywhere near cookeville or passing by, I would recommend Cedar 37. I would also recommend going out of your way to come by and have the burger. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often but not too much. Amazing ambiance! We tried this restaurant while traveling in Tennessee on recommendation from a friend. We LOVE this restaurant. We watched as servers brought out many of the menu dishes and honestly, we wanted to try everything! They used local microbrewery's for many of their beers. The Red Silo Red beer (from the brewery across the street) was great!) Our server, "Karen with the green hair" (there are two Karen's and that's how she recommended differentiating her from the other Karen) was amazing! She was friendly, a great conversationalist, brought us double extra condiments, and checked on us regularly, but not too much. I went on a Thursday afternoon, pretty full but service was still great and fast. however, as soon as the clock struck 7:30, live music began. First time there, met some new friends for dinner & a drink. The decore was very nice, the hostess and waitress were both Very pleasant & equally helpfull. I love that they had local Red Silo beer( brewed right across the street & very good). I got the Ole 37 burger( think that was the name)...... it was extremely delicious( a mixture of bacon & beef). My wife got their Chipotle Flatbread, & said that was delicious also. My burger with fixings & fries was $13 & my wife's meal was $11........... very good prices I thought. Beware of the $5 flatbreads and burgers happy hour! Got the steak and bleu cheese flatbread and grilled onion burger, as well as a wedge salad. We disputed our $30.73 bill, to which the waitress apologized and said they should have been $5 each. She went in the back and came back and said that the steak and blue cheese flatbreads aren't $5 and the burger my husband ordered wasn't either. VERY misleading and dishonest. They have a large sign that says $5 flatbreads, burgers, and whiskey fondue. There's not a single exclusion on their sign. We won't be back. read more

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had recently. I got the Ol 37 burger with fries, and I was not disappointed. The bacon inside the burger and red onion jam with gorgonzola cheese made this burger amazing as it was the perfect combination. They also have amazing fries. My girlfriend got a salad and added chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Also the dressing tasted amazing, too. We also both got $6 margaritas and they tasted great.
