This patio definitely gave you a good calming, southern feel

My goodness! This place was amazing! How have I been in Cookeville for years on visits without knowing about this beautiful Gem of a restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing, service was kind, friendly, and energetic, and the patio was so inviting! We tried everything from the shrimp bisque, the salads, the catfish, the Seabass, and appetizers. We didn't have a single complaint about any of it! We can't wait to come back to Cookeville to visit again! Our server was so very helpful and you could tell she loved what she did! The manager was also proud, smiling, and very helpful!

1:30 pm on a Tuesday Party of 4. Cold wet rainy day. We chose to sit inside despite there being two outdoor spaces to enjoy. (Upstairs balcony and lower courtyard). We were sat immediately. And given all the time we needed to browse the menu. This was my first visit and the menu is extensive. By 1:45 we had made our decisions and ordered. Crawfish poboy $12. Tender fried crawfish on a hogie bun with remoulade. It was massive. I tried to eat it all but couldn't . So good. The Jack Daniels sirloin looked delicious ($23) served with a potato. The men at the table both ordered that. And ate everything. No leftovers. The last person to order was the only person who ordered from the lunch menu . Served from 11-3. Offers about a dozen options including the Shrimp and grits ($11) The food arrived in about 18 minutes. And we were paying the bill 25 minutes later. Very causal, un rushed visit. I would love to go back!! In my humble opinion 4.5 stars

I met by daughter and her husband here in Cookeville. She drove from Nashville and We drove from Townsend, Tn. All other restaurants in the area were closed for Sunday, July 5th. We ordered the salmon with citrus sauce, sweet potato fries, green beans, mahi wrap with fries, jambalaya, eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes, Canadian bacon topped with lump crab cream sauce which is called Eggs Dalton. All the food was delicious and exquisitely prepared. Our server was wonderful and so helpful with suggestions. We will definitely come back to meet up here again. We sat outside and were seated immediately upstairs.

Food was amazing , our waitress was so helpful and attentive! Music and lighting made it a fun place!

Absolutely great experience all the way around!! I went here with my son as it is a halfway point for each of us. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service was great, the food was amazing and the portions are generous! The prices are not bad, either. We started off with the crab cake appetizer which was absolutely delicious. For the main course, I had the sea bass over rice with the garlic cheddar grits and fried Brussels sprouts. The grits were not impressive, but everything else was very good! But, as good as it was, my son's was absolutely incredible! He ordered the Ribeye Diablo with sweet potato fries and the fried Brussels sprouts. He let me taste it, and oh, my word! I will order that next time! Side note, we asked for balsamic glaze to drizzle over the Brussels sprouts and it took it to an even greater level!

Food: We tried a bunch of apps, you know, calamari and gator bites are hard to mess up. But the goat-cheese dip? Holy cow that was the bomb! I'm sad I had to waste some of it! :( Salmon was good, almost as good as when I grill it at home! Haha. Grilling it gives it a crispness that I like, I dunno. The fries were a little soggy but the sprouts were good. Overall an awesome meal. Atmosphere: It's in the heart of downtown, really rustic inside, very cool. I like when places fix up a historic building. You get lost with all of the side rooms and hallways that they have to fix because it used to be a house inside. It's neat. Oh - and double points for having the game on, but not SO LOUD that we couldn't hear ourselves think, thank you! Price: It's pretty cheap, actually. Then again, I'm used to California where you get charged when you walk in the door. 8-10$ for an app, the salmon with 2 sides was only like 25$ so it was pretty reasonable. Delicious, affordable... no complaints! Service: I don't remember our servers name, but we had no complaints. It wasn't too busy so that was good. Overall: I can see why this place is a local favorite. Good food, down to earth prices, I'd be back if we were in the area again.

Got seated promptly, server was there within seconds to take our drink order and they arrived in just a couple of minutes. I had the Cajun sampler which was Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee and Gumbo. Wife had the Turkey Pesto wrap, sister had Cajun popcorn and brother in law had the blackened chicken salad. The easiest way to do this is to say that the food was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very polite and friendly. Absolutely recommended!!!

Unique atmosphere with both indoor and (heated) patio seating. Waitstaff are polite and helpful, and wait time isn't too long. Price ranges from average to high. The waitress said the sweet potato came with cinnamon, but it was actually cinnamon sugar. Be precise in your order and make sure you explicitly request any modifications.

One thing this place knows how to make is a great salad, I must say! My go-to lunch if I'm doing takeout is a blackened chicken salad. Chicken is seasoned & grilled well, lettuce quality is always on point, and the ranch is so good! We went for my birthday dinner so I got to dig deeper into the menu. We just moved from Louisiana so of course my expectations are a little biased but..dine-in was cool. Service was welcoming and prompt! The appetizers were okay, I'm not a fan of an overbreaded crab cake and the batter on the fried tomatoes was an...interesting choice to say..but my blackened ribeye was great! Overall i would say it was like a 3.5/5 for the full experience.

I would not recommend this place for NYE. They had an extremely limited menu that was not published beforehand. If it had been, we wouldn't have gone. There were several gin drinks, one bourbon, and one mocktail you could add vodka to. That's all. You couldn't order any other drinks. We hate gin. So we stuck with the bourbon cocktail. It was 0% consistent. They said it was a batch, but every drink we had tasted different. Maybe the mix wasn't mixed well. Not the end of the world. It was still a decent drink. What was terrible is that only half way through service they ran out of the drink and would not make more. They said they were saving the rest for the next seating. So we were left with no drink options we liked. That's a big deal when you've *bought tickets* to be there. So we paid to be at a bar where we weren't given access to anything we liked and weren't told this would be the case when we bought the tickets. You have a whole bar there. Come up with another drink on the fly to replace the one you're out of. After several people complained, the bartenders said they would pour bourbon neat or on the rocks. Yeah, I can do that at home for free. If you are going to make people pay for access to an extremely limited menu make sure you don't run out of the key ingredients. The snacks were good and decently plentiful, but they weren't worth the ticket price (sushi that was not on ice, cheese, meat, fruit, crackers, deviled eggs, cookies) Would I come back? I'd like to give it another try only because Cookeville needs a place like this. If this was in another city, I wouldn't be back.

We were excited based off some of the reviews and pictures, but ended up disappointed. I kept trying to find reasons to make the visit better, but everything just fell flat. For starters, the staff wasn't attentive at all. The hostess went to sit us outside as requested, because it looked so relaxing from walking up, upon entering the outside, many people were smoking (cigs, not vape). I'd don't mind if people smoke, but I don't want to eat a meal with it lingering around. We then went back inside and they sat us in the corner by the drink station/kitchen. Throughout the meal, the waitresses gossiped about their lives and their customers while the table next us a waitress was wrapping silverware. Our waitress didn't arrive for like ten minutes and then took forever to bring our drinks back. The vibes were just all off. Like they all wanted to get out of there and not be around each other. It wasn't even late. The food was average, nothing spectacular. We got a burger and the fish and chips. For a traditional pub, fish and chips should be one of the best things on the menu, less than par. The beer cheese soup was a highlight. Very good. We also ordered some type of pear cheeseburger. Different, but not bad. I'd try something else if I were to return. The decor is traditional pub meets modern hipster vibes. Hard to screw up. Although, limited beer options. Only 4 drafts for a pub is kinda weird. The good news is there's a brewery next door. Like I said, I was optimistic and excited. I don't give a lot of bad reviews but this one didn't hit the mark. Considering there are many other options within walking distance, I'd try something else if I were you.

Ordering two pizza styles is a challenge and our Margherita NY style originally came out over cooked. (Probably waiting on our other pizza to finish).
