Of course, that was silly because Kim is a professional and tailors workouts to fit her clients' needs. Her knowledge of physiology goes way beyond the average trainer. She is very talented and helped me out a lot. I regret I wasn't able to take more classes with Kim but our schedules don't line up. She is a one woman show and does her best to accommodate her clients. I think it is a testament to her talent that she is so sought after that her classes have waiting lists.

I began to notice a few things after a while, like I did not fit in to much and how it was the same click all the time. Well, into 2.5 years, I had an injury and had to stop my class, ended up on crutches..I managed to come back getting my Tuesday again. Kim went out of her way to NOT putting on a waiting list for the class. So bottom line here is she gets $650 for 10 private sessions and multiple classes, if you could actually get into a class! There is the standard 3 people in Tuesday class who NEVER leave, and that leaves one space. That class you do not get your monies worth, they stop all the time...play around, and for me she refused to advance me into the next level, so I was stuck there. If you can find another Pilates instructor, pick them first. Not K&C, kim is beyond rude and out strictly for the money, and the clickiness of it all. I've spent way to much money there and am very dissatisfied.

There's a faucet that's been broken for months. The little "new" equipment appears to be purchased used. Overpriced, undervalued and poorly maintained. No new equipment ever, at best you get used equipment. And the owner does not reinvest properly to keep things up to date. Every week it's something different that's broken and it'll take weeks or longer for it to get fixed. But what really put it over the top was the fact that he's now charging every $50 a year as a maintenance fee. What maintenance? People are going down the street to planet fitness and they are paying $200 a year for brand new equipment in a brand new facility while he's charging $600 a year for broken down stuff. Edit - replying to owner's comments. COVID inflation has impacted everyone, including every member who pays. My bills have increased 40% since COVID, as has the bills of everyone I know. And that includes the cost of membership to HHF which has skyrocketed since COVID. It doesn't change that the value simply is not there. Down the street people are paying a 35% the price of a HHF membership for all new equipment, new facilities, and nearly 24 hours access. HHF has continually increased its membership fees year over year to the point where HHF is now within striking distance of the cost of memberships to premium facilities like Cedardale that include pools, basketball courts, all new equipment, tennis courts, working saunas, etc. As far as changing equipment goes, I will not dispute the claim regarding "selectorsized" equipment being updated 2.5 years ago. There's also a few refurbished elliptical machines replaced as well, not that they are really high quality machines. Folks I have spoken with only use them if the others are unavailable. But that's a relatively low percentage of the total equipment in the facility. There is much more equipment which are in need of replacement or, at least, better preventative maintenance: free weights are cracked or have rubber missing, step machines are old and break down frequently. Benches are too narrow or have broken/loose racks. The floor is uneven in several areas. It's not uncommon to find shims being used to keep wobbly equipment in place. I can't speak to what was done 25 years ago at HHF, and frankly I question how that is relevant to the value of the membership today. HHF provides facilities somewhere in the range of a discount gym but at 250% the cost of a discount gym. HHF is about 80% the cost of a premium facility, but provides nothing close to the facilities.

I was greeted with a huge smile by the manager, Melissa who showed me around the cleanest gym I have ever been to in my life. Started yoga classes and all kinds of others. This gym is not only 20 and 40 year old body builders. This gym is geared for everyone young and old. Everyone who I have met here, the instructors and members are so friendly, nonjudgmental and helpful. Very reasonably priced for what you get! I recommend Hampstead Heath and Fitness to everyone! Treat yourself to a great smoothie after.

From the moment my husband reached out, the communication was outstanding. Mike and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the breed and took the time to answer all of our (many) questions and concerns, making us feel confident in our decision! We also live in the town of Chester and have driven by Olympia for years. From the road it looks beautiful, but we were still so impressed upon entering. The facility was so clean, well-organized, and clearly designed with the dogs' well-being in mind. Each puppy seemed very happy and healthy which speaks volumes about the care they receive. We also appreciated the follow-up after the purchase. After sending a email with some pictures of the puppy doing well with the transition to his new home, Mike called to thank us, as he clearly cares for the puppies and families he works with. We have been home with our handsome pup for a couple weeks now and he is doing fantastic with house training, eating great, and transitioned extremely well! Such an amazing temperament and just an amazing addition to our family! If you're looking for a reputable and caring breeder, I wholeheartedly recommend Olympia Kennels. The passion for their work shines through, and we are beyond grateful to have found such a lovely puppy to join my family!

Im a very protective and research person when making a decision. Olympia Kennels was a word of mouth one and got a lot of positive feedback. I knew immediately when I met Mike and his team it was the place. However I didn't know on day one how amazing this journey would be. To some have multiple pups at the same time most trainers are judgemental and not supportive of this hard journey my family has taken on and we are very capable of. Mike has stood by his word and taken care and taught my family and my pups who are 1.5 years old. They stayed with Mike for 6 weeks at 8months old and taught them a great foundation. He even stood by his word and when we had a minor behavior issue with one of my boys he took him right back and worked with him asap and made immediate room for our need. We will be continuing with Olympia and both our family and dogs learning how to best train and grow together.

A previously great gym, I have grown…read morefrustrated with how the parent gym, Executive, seems eager to find ways to nickle and dime members, advertise disingenuously, and how staff attention has waned. Many gyms seem to have a cost model of a sign-up fee plus monthly charge. At New Year, to entice potential customers, the start-up fee is often waived. However, Express is the only gym I know which has started to carry this supplemental forward year after year. When is a $29.99/monthly fee really a $34.16 monthly fee? When they tack a hidden $50 "maintenance fee" onto your account at yearly renewal time. It's slimy fake advertising. If you have issues with credit card numbers getting stolen, Express will want to charge you for that, too. The second time my billing card was compromised and account number changed, Express issued a $35 charge for a bounced $24.99 charge (monthly fee at the time) against a closed card. This fee was $10 more than the actual charge that bounced! Do you want to use the top row lockers so you're not hunched over using the bottom row lockers? Express will want to charge you a rental fee for that, too. The parent gym, Executive, actually locks all the top row lockers so you're forced to use the bottom ones. "Hunch over for health?" In fairness, they're not yet all locked in Hooksett. A friend left Express in 2016 when they instituted the "maintenance fee" and speaks quite highly of his Planet Fitness membership at half the price. Staff there is always out and about cleaning up and organizing equipment, a refreshing change from the mess that sometimes greets late day visitors at Express. (Express also has at least one slob member who trims his beard and leaves the trimmings around the sink which may sit there for hours. This has gone on for years.) There are some pluses. There is new equipment starting in 2018. There is free childcare with ample toys. Care quality varies by employee, however: sometimes there is interactive child engagement, sometimes a student is busy doing homework while the TV provides entertainment. Regardless, I am very happy Express has a nut-free policy. If you care about building functional full-body strength and balance, doing things like barbell squats and dead-lifts are a key training component you can do at Express. Planet Fitness is all about machines so you'd miss those there. I used to love Express, now I sound like crotchety old man describing it. I still go because it's the closest place I can lift heavy weights once or twice a week. I try to work around the class schedule, since many group exercise instructors blast class music so it's louder than the ambient music in the rest of the gym. My "light" days are now at home with a doorway pull-up bar, Bowflex adjustable dumbbells, and an incline bench. A few small fixes, and some integrity in the billing office, would be all it would take to make Express great again.
