This club makes me never want to join a PF again. The manager is rude and always on her phone. I have never seen a manager in a PF so rude and entitled as the one in Raymond NH thinks she is. She is rude to the customer and aggressive. I would not recommend this club until they hire an expierenced person to run the gym. read more

Really surprised at the low rating of this location--I almost wondered if I had looked up the wrong location by mistake--but looks like most of the low scores came from years ago. I've only been coming here for the last couple years, so I obviously can't comment on most of the things from a while back, but I can say that I don't see much of those negative things being true now. Sure, it's a smaller space, but they make very good use of it. Everything from the equipment to the locker rooms are more modern and clean, even more so than my home PF location back in IL. I like to lift weights when I come, and they have everything here that I need. I do a combination of using their machines and then using their free weights (they have both available). I'd love to see a few more benches for free weights, but I wonder if they could even fit any more in that area. They have lots of cardio equipment available, if that's more your speed. Their locker rooms are excellent, and feel super fancy. They don't have extra soaps or anything in there, but just from the fixtures and atmosphere it feels like something you'd expect from a nice hotel. Its a gym. Thats about it. Thats all I wanted, so I am not really complaining. I have the membership that allows me to have unlimited tanning ($20 a month). Without getting into a play by play, Ill say this much: They do not clean the tanning beds. Nor do they post any sort of sinage letting members know that they are responsible for cleaning the tanning beds (spray/paper towels provided) after each use. Members should NOT be responsible for cleaning up other peoples bodily fluids and funk off of a sweaty tanning bed, especially when its from several uses prior. PF staff has told me that they dont even use the tanning beds because of how gross they are (they look as if they have never been cleaned - especially when the lights go on) and to "use at your own risk". I aksed for them to put a sign in the tanning room just to let people know they have to clean it - otherwise they may think that the staff does it. They said they cannot and that they have to get it approved by corporate. Nice huh? Bring on the ringworm and slew of other skin conditions! I guess that means they dont clean the showers either, next time Ill come equipt with my can of Scrubbing Bubbles. read more

Typical of a fraudulent pay-per-month scam, this PF seems to think they will continue to get away with putting people through a "cancellation dance." My son destroyed his knee in a motocross bike crash. The ACL and bones broke...total disaster all around. He's in a full-leg-brace and is not allowed to bend his knee by even 1 degree. Obviously, he won't be going to PF for over a year. Similarly, I won't be either, as I normally accompany him (he's 15). ******* I paid an extra monthly fee to afford him a "cancel at any time" membership and they are insisting there's a cancellation fee to be paid. ******* Furthermore, they advised him that the "annual fee will be taken out of my account one day from today (the very next day). He has only been a member for 4 months...so ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE??? More consumer fraud! In response to a recent email I sent to PF requesting to cancel, they sent this: ******************** You may cancel according to our policy: Per the agreement, in order to cancel a membership, one must either go to the club in person to fill out a cancellation form, or send a letter (preferably via certified mail) to the club, requesting cancellation. Please note: Memberships cannot be cancelled via fax, phone, or email. The processing of this cancellation request is subject to any agreement obligations. For more information, please refer to the membership agreement or call your home location. If your membership has a 12 month commitment and you wish to cancel at any time before the commitment is met, you can pay a $58 buyout fee to do so. If you wish to cancel after the 12 months has been met, the buyout fee would not apply. The membership does continue monthly after the commitment is met, until you cancel the membership. If you are sending a letter, please call the club to verify that your membership can be cancelled at this time. Please be sure your cancellation request (and payments if owed) are received on or before the 10th of the month, if you do not wish to be billed in the same month on the 17th. ********************** So he WENT TO THE PF RAYMOND NH LOCATION IN HIS FULL LEG BRACE, hopping along on crutches and was told to "GET A DOCTOR'S NOTE." This cancellation routine employed by these heinous fraudsters may float in a town with slack-jawed white-trash morons, but they have apparently not met the "Deceptive Trade" laws found in any of the 50 United States. So a consumer fraud complaint will be rushed through the AGs office on Monday. Stay far away from these criminals! UPDATE***UPDATE*** as of June 28 Got a call from the New Hampshire AG's office. The house council for Planet Fitness called them (the AG) and advised them that I would be charged the monthly fees for my son and me if I did not get a cancellation letter in to them ASAP. I explained to the AG's Assistant that "I dropped off the letter on June 15 at 6:00pm. Handed it to the desk clerk and the hand-off will be on the PF surveillance camera. Management here sincerely does not want your money. I tried to sign up for the $10/month membership. Couldn't. You can only use your checkbook. No credit. No debit. Didn't have my check book on me.... I tried to just prepay for a whole year. That's only allowed for renewals, not new members. Both the associate and the manager didn't care at all about me - they only wanted to stick to the script. Neither wanted not even seemed like they wanted to try and get me as a customer. Both used the word "corporate" multiple times. Since planet fitness doesn't want my money I'll go give it to their competition. read more

Planet fitness terminated my membership after 12 years after conflict involving staff. Manager never interviewed me about the incident nor gave me any type of probation or warning. This planet fitness needs due process which customer is believed to be innocent until being proven guilty. Also penalties have to be commensurate with infraction. in my case a warning would have been sufficient as I could have done a better job. On a positive note the gym is very clean and it seems to run very smoothly and efficiently. However two of the full-time older staff have been-ill tempered and not fair-minded toward me and lack complex reasoning skills to understand and then complain to the manager of my fault. I have been going here for about 2 years, and the staff was always friendly. I just went in the other day to cancel as I joined another gym with more weights, etc. It took about 2 minutes with absolutely zero hassle. I hear differently from other users on here, but it was easy for me. In terms of the gym it is small with limited machines/weights, but in a small town it is plenty. I never have to wait for anything, and it is always clean. For what you pay it works, and will appeal to the average person. Nothing flashy, but good, especially for cardio. read more

Total dump, I am sad to walk into this establishment and it makes me miss my home location in utah. I figured they would be top of the line considering the headquarters is 15 minutes away. Place is under construction but aside from that signing in on my black card was a joke and they had a hard time accommodating an out of state visitor. Place was jammed with equipment and no space for core or stretching. Had to find a sliver for my Mat in the walkway of two machines. Employees were sassy, is that a new england thing? This place is what I call a "gym wannabe" ...it really sucks there is not a REAL gym anywhere near here, unless you go to Londenderry or Salem. I find this place to be a big pit! If you have a black card membership and your year runs out make sure you go in and cancel if you don't want to continue otherwise you will continue to get billed on your credit card without them notifying you. I just paid an additional $40.00 that they won't refund even though I didn't use the gym for the 2 months. Guess you have to read the fine print. read more

It's planet fitness, great for a cardio workout. Staff is always cleaning the floors and equipment and locker room seems clean (I don't shower there). For $10 a month it's worth it. read more

Does not even deserve one star. Stay away from planet fitness in general if you can, but specifically this one in Raymond. It's full of a bunch of bitchy, unprofessional young kids that say one thing one day about your billing and then they change the story the next day. I paid for this month and they told me I could use the gym as long as I changed my billing Info BEFORE the next billing cycle (which at the time I had about two weeks to) I come in the next day and they pretend that was never said and they won't let me use the gym even after I paid for that month. I gave this gym two stars instead of one because it is open 24 hours a day. The only free weights they have are dumbells, which only go up to 55#s. PF doesn't allow barbells in any of their gyms, so if you really want to lift I will save u the trip. read more

If you want to be ultimately scammed months after you've cancelled your membership, sign up at this gym. Not only do you need to jump through hoops just to cancel your membership, ie show up in person even if you've moved away or send a certified letter, your membership may not actually be cancelled and in turn PF siphons off $19.99 off your bank account each month even if you haven't signed in for over a year. This gym does nothing for you except make it a hassle to quit it. read more

staff get 5 stars always friendly and helpful.It is a smaller planet fitness but has everything you could really need if you know how to properly use all the equipment to its fullest.Always very clean .I have been in other PFs that i wont mention that are not even half as well kept.I don't think I have been there once when staff were not hard at work cleaning something. read more
