This review is a bit late, but if any of the same people work there or trained who works there, then it's still valid. I posted this on a different forum, and now m cross-posting it here: Story time: There was a place on South Side of Indianapolis: 3-D Carburetor. I'm thinking they're the Dire or Dwire family, & 3 of 'em were the mechanics. This is more than 20 years ago. Apologies if I'm bungling their surname. They kept me employed by keeping my POSs running. A few times they put parts I'd pulled from junkyard. They'd warranty the workmanship, but not a part I got from god knows where. They'd also order new parts for people, but that was rarely a problem I had. Never had an issue. Never left feeling screwed over. More than once they worked up to or past their closing time to get my roommate or me underway to the far north side where we worked. Once, they even let me bring them cash the next morning instead of making me find an ATM and be late. Paying dealership prices and dealing with dealership level responsibility hot potato and I would have been unemployed followed shortly by homeless. I can't thank them enough. Excellent mechanics, and all around very decent people. 5/5 would recommend all day. I can't say enough nice things about them. Keep being awesome! Cheers! read more

First off the customer service was awesome and the work they did was great they have a great mechanic once I got my car in the shop they got busy car was finished in no time at all I will definitely be a return customer read more

When my truck broke down, the staff was willing to come drive and meet me to help determine what the problem was. They got my truck started again to help me avoid the cost of towing. Then, when Keith determined what the problem was, they involved me in every step of the process to ensure I wasn't being overcharged. They came up with a creative solution to save me a ton of money and truck is still working great! Highly recommend. read more

Like most of us, I am extremely busy most of the time and not what you might call overly mechanically inclined so for anything beyond "basic" repairs and preventative maintenance I rely on ethical and knowledgeable experts to help me out. More than once I have been ripped off by either inept or, more likely unscrupulous, mechanics either doing more than what was necessary or not taking care of what actually needed to be fixed. I was recently having trouble finding someone I trusted to do some repairs on my 1966 Plymouth Fury. The car had sat for awhile without being ran and the carb needed some attention. I tried to clean it myself, but realized it needed to be rebuilt and a lot of garages didn't want to mess with it. I was surprised because, at least based on my logic, working on an older car without the electronics should be easier. Doing a little research I came across the folks at 3D Auto Center. Was I ever glad I did! I called the shop one afternoon and explained what I had and what I needed. The woman taking my call told me they would be happy to rebuild the carb and quoted me a price that was significantly less than what a couple shops gave me. I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for some this always concerns me. Deciding to go ahead and take a chance I made arrangements to drop off the carb the next morning on my way to work. The next morning I dropped it off and, after a few minutes, was on my way. The same woman I spoke with the day before took my information and advised me they may be able to get it completed that same day, but it may not be until the following afternoon. Later that afternoon I received a call telling me that the work would have been completed, but the gentleman doing the work had an emergency issue come up. Personally, I think this is above and beyond. They took the time to update me even though the work was not promised to be finished the same day. They tried to make it happen, but family has to come first and I respect that. The following morning I received another call telling me the repair was finished. That evening on the way home from work I picked up my carb and was pleasantly surprised to hear it had a warranty on the rebuild. After I put it back on the 318 Poly and fired up the car I was even more thrilled with the experience. It was great to have the car running and driving so smoothly again. A huge thanks to the great people at 3D Auto Center for their willingness to help me out, their great communication, their friendly customer service skills, and most importantly their quality work! I wish every experience with a shop could be like what you get here. read more

They are great people who work hard to help you out when you can't find the parts for your vehicle. They bent over backwards trying to help us out and let us keep our car there till we did find the correct parts and then they made sure our car was done properly and have continued to be a great help even after it has been fixed. I would recommend that you use these people to fix or do repairs on your cars. I will be taking all of our cars there for maintenance of them also. Give them a call the next time you have any car issues. read more
