I have finally decided to try out lash extensions! I searched for lash extension deals on Groupon and opted for this place. My appointment was for 6pm on a Saturday evening with Alana Upon arriving I thought the place was closed but I entered and I heard a voice come thru the waiting room door that she'd be right out. Alana came out and gave me the low down and the different extension options and what the upcharge would be. I think I decided on the 1.5 C curl. Going back to her chair though I saw the actual lashes and changed y mind on the curl type. I sat down in the chair and we chatted for nearly the whole two hours it took her to apply the lashes and she took pictures of my lashes for me. Alana was super nice and knowledgeable and it was a great experience. And most importantly my lashes look AMAZING!!! No more having to put on falsies everrrrry morning! Being treated in a condescending and unprofessional way just adds insult to injury when you're getting ripped off. This spa takes pride in their services to Miss Nevada United States organization, but as a former titleholder I strongly disagree. I requested an appointment using the online booking service days in advance. Waited for a confirmation either email/phone call/text/anything that would show the request was accepted. I waited until I was in the window of the 24 hour cancellation policy as I thought surely by then it would be accepted or denied and also because they hardly answer the phone. If they do answer, they still redirect you to check your email or the website. I finally got through to them and told them I had to cancel as I had to catch a flight and never received confirmation that I could come as I had received in my previous appointment with them. The receptionist quickly got argumentative and dismissive. She kept interrupting my calm explanation of this dilemma and stating that it was my fault I didn't check my email (which I had been) and that they send no such things to their guests (So why is it my fault I'm not checking my email if you don't send confirmation?). They then proceeded to tell me my Groupon could no longer be used as the person I booked with recently leveled up in experience. Nowhere in any fine print on Axiom's website or on the Groupon itself is there this disclaimer that would make the Groupon void. Frustrated that I was wasting their time, they told me to call back later and advised to show up to the appointment or else I would be charged the cancellation fee. After this call, I was finally sent a confirmation email just an hour or two before the appointment, an email I was just rudely told were never sent out. It started that my appointment was accepted. I feel like I was bait and switched and forced to agree to inconsistent surprise policies that cost me money, frustration, and inconvenience. Axiom Spa will never get my business again. I can't attest to the quality of their lashes and other services, but I hope they improve their reception of guests and develop consistency and better communication with their guests. read more

Okay not sure where to begin. One there policy on not canceling or arriving on time is ridiculous since she doesn't follow her own policy. One you have to book online and wait for a response. Well those responses and take days and if she cancels she does late the night before. My brows turned this ugly red tint and I follow every step verbatim. Brows were uneven. When I was in her salon she spoke down to her clients and employees, very uncomfortable being there. One customer came in and she had the micro blade brow but all the pigment came off and her hair . Instead of speaking to this poor woman and reassuring everything will okay. Theresa blamed everything on this poor woman and spoke down to her. I arrived to appointment on time and she comes strolling in 25 minutes after my appointment is supposed to start. No apologies, she didn't even do a consultation, just slapped on some numbing cream and left me in lobby. 30 minutes later she comes out and gets me (by this time the numbing cream dried up and dissipate).She takes me to her area and starts setting up (what the heck was she doing while I was in the lobby having my brows numb then become not numb?) She spoke so highly of herself and so poorly of her clients in the waiting room. Which let me remind you, they were on time and she was late. I could of walked put you have to pay to secure an appointment. When she started the treatment it was painful because she took to long after putting the cream on. She was late for all three appointments. She is rude and condescending to her clients and employees. Save yourself the trouble and heartache. I paid A LOT of money for lashes that fell out within a week. Instead of a refund, Teresa said she would give me a new set. WHY would I want another set that is going to fall right out again? I was never offered or given a refund. UPDATE: I have revised my review. I wasn't very kind or fair by attacking Theresa. Yes, my experience was bad. That was no excuse to verbally attack anyone though. I still have not received a refund. I paid $400 and I wish something good could have come out of the whole situation. Absolutely LOVE that I can wake up in the morning and be out-the-door beautiful in minutes, all thanks to Theresa!!! She is hands down the best permanent makeup artist in the Las Vegas valley and beyond. Believe me I know, as I researched for many hours and consulted with several other purported "professionals" before finally (thankfully) choosing Theresa Garcia. During my initial consultation appointment (which was free) Theresa spent nearly an hour explaining the permanent makeup process, her carefully crafted, precision method (which she has honed over many, many years), the Made in USA water-based inks she uses (as opposed to cheaper/imported inks, which contain metals and can be damaging/unsightly), her professional artist background, and how she utilizes color theory to match one's own, unique coloring with the proper pigments required in order to bring about the desired finished effect. Theresa explained how important it is to also take into account one's own skin coloring, that rose pigment on a light-skinned person will look completely different on a darker skinned person. Also "warm" complexions and "cool" complexions must be accounted for when mixing inks. (Theresa, by the way, is one of the few artists who mixes her own inks; most others use inks straight from the tube. A definite no-no she says.) Theresa is the original inventor of the "3d eyebrow," which is the most natural-looking--NOT the hideous tattooed eyebrows of the past. Theresa's technique uses very soft, powder finish blending, with a few individual hair strokes for the most natural look--a look that only Theresa offers. My own brows are naturally full, so I was unsure whether I would benefit from enhancement. But after seeing Theresa's portfolio of work, I knew I was definitely "in"!! Now that she has completed my brows, I don't know how I ever lived without them! It's true what they say, that your eyebrows frame your face, and even though I wasn't lacking hair volume, it was Theresa's expertly applied shaping and finishing that completed my amazing new look. All very natural, not harsh or overdone. But the difference is undeniable, very classy and polished (Thank You, Theresa!!). Besides the amazing brow work, I had upper eyeliner and lower lash "enhancement," which is a very thin "smudging" of color inside the lower lash line, so it doesn't look harsh or overdone. My lips, too, were perfectly enhanced, and Theresa spent a great deal of time perfecting the actual agreed-upon "shape" before beginning her work. (Theresa always draws on, or lets you draw on, and approve, any shape before actually beginning her work...this is after all your face, and she wants to be sure it's done right, exactly the way YOU want it.) Theresa does a "natural-blended lip line," NOT yesterday's too-harsh line that you sometimes still see people wearing. She also offers a "full, blended lip" which means the color is carried over the full lip for a very natural finished look. (Great for women in their 50's--like me--who have lost some lip color and definition over the years.) Theresa is well-known and highly regarded for the natural look she is famous for achieving. Theresa's clients are always beautifully enhanced, but NEVER garish, harsh, or crazy-looking. Theresa uses only the highest, medical-grade numbing cream, and gives it plenty of time to work before ever touching your face. This eliminates nearly 100% of any pain one might associate with permanent makeup application--if you have your work done by Theresa. Should you find yourself in another permanent makeup artist's chair, beware!!! Below is the previous review I left for Axiom spa, but since Manette parted ways, I felt like I needed to make an update to my review. (Of course I followed her to her new location) The only reason I ever came to this location was because of the independent contractors that worked out of the "spa". I was a loyal client for the last two years, every two weeks (no joke). Personally, I think the only thing wrong with this business, is the business owner herself. I had the misfortune of witnessing her speak to her "employees" in a condescending, and inappropriate manner almost every time I had the misfortune of being there when she was on site. I pay a pretty penny to have my lashes fixed, I've never been late, cancelled, or otherwise; having your lash artist be forced to answer the phone while they are doing your lashes, because the owner won't hire a receptionist is deplorable. You know what that did? It took away from MY TIME, and MY MONEY, and it would cause stress on my lash artist. How is she supposed to book appointments when she's WORKING? She would have to go over on time, or wouldn't be able to use the time she had as efficiently, if there were someone there to answer the phone. These are independent contractors, not personal assistants. Also, rather than hire a cleaning company, she also relied on her independent contractors to do the cleaning. What kind of business owner does that? I had to listen to Theresa (the owner) talk about how she was so good at lashes, and eyebrows... blah, blah... She was the first person I went to, and they were terrible - that's why she doesn't do lashes. If you're looking for good work, obviously there are some good independent contractors left, but I would search elsewhere. ***I've been going to Manette for more than a year and a half now, and I wouldn't imagine going to anyone else for eyelash extensions. I've been getting my lashes done for almost three years now, and out of everyone that I've gone to, Manette is the best. Earlier this year, my eyebrows started falling out (so sad!) and I spent a lot of time and $$$ at the Anastasia BH counter at Nordstrom to make them look natural and happy again. Once I was sick of waking up without eyebrows and taking an extra 15-20 minutes to get ready, I decided to go the permanent route. I read the reviews and looked through Theresa's online gallery and decided to make an appt. She was very knowledgable about how the brows should look on the face and gave her input about color and width, etc. without being pushy; it was still my decision how I wanted them to look. After the first session I was immediately in love with my eyebrows and started getting compliments right away. It was so nice to wake up and have beautiful eyebrows and to not worry about messing up makeup during a workout or after a long night out. The woman who does my eyebrow waxing for cleanups (the annoying little tiny ones AROUND the area where you actually want hair to grow) wanted to know where I got them done. The woman who does my facials admitted to me one day that she really wanted to ask where I got my eyebrows done but didn't want to offend me (not possible!) And my own mother wants to get hers REdone with Theresa. Making appointments using their online service/app is really easy as well. You get plenty of reminders about your appt date and time. Eyelash extensions at their absolute fullest is my requirement. Since moving to Las Vegas, I have tried 6 lash places.I am a huge lash worshiper and I've tried just about every kind. I have had some great experiences and bad ones that almost made me give up extensions all together! There are a lot of scams and posers who claim they are experts but jack you up. Even the best experiences left me still wanting more. I want them Fuller! I am beside myself and very amazed by the lashes I got here. The lashes look so full. They are the fullest I have seen or ever received. I have been getting these for years and I have tried many places looking for more and home! I am all about thick and these blow me away The spa is a little medical spa that is quaint and casual. They play typical spa music, offer candy and bottles of water. I was provided printed eyelash care instructions and was treated pleasantly. The waiting area is small but clean. The private lash room was relaxing and smelled of the scented candles that were burning. My aesthetician was Cami and she was sweet. Cami explained the different options and recommended the Dramatic Queens for the look I was seeking. She used very nice gel pads and not tape! TAPE HURTS and takes off lower lashed! Love the gell pads! I got them and the look was perfect. I liked the experience and the picture perfect eyelashes. Cami is awesome. She wont screw you up and can deliver big time in the lash department. In a city of players and gamers, it is nice to meet the real deal. The only thing I didn't like is their parking lot was kinda busy and I had a hard time finding their office. They are in this big medical complex with lots of doctors offices. It was a little annoying. The ONLY reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because it is too soon. Sure the look great and the look is right but they have to last and last! Theresa Garcia ruined my summer by giving me what my brother told me looked like "resting bitch face". Do NOT go to her if you expect a genuine consult in which she actually listens to what YOU want and definitely don't go to her if you expect good customer service. She thinks what YOU should have on YOUR face is more correct than what you want for yourself. She is a hostile ignorant person without a kind bone in her body...she is fake. She is is so ignorantly prideful that when she messes up she refuses to do anything to rectify the matter. I went to her to simply get a faint guide tattooed to make it easier to do my makeup. I wanted ONLY powder finish and explicitly I told her so. At the end she suddenly started adding hairline strokes in the center which I explicitly told her I did not want. I could feel her doing it. To top it off the brows were obviously very asymmetrical. I went back to her for removal right away the next day which she charged me for. The removal is extremely painful and causes scaring for a while so when I went back in for the last removal session a month later I was very specific that I ONLY wanted her to do removal on a couple remaining tiny spots of pigment, next thing I know she is going to town tattooing this removal solution on my entire brows even though the pigment was already out and even though I told EXACTLY where to do it-which was the leftovers of the Hair strokes I wanted gone that made me look angry, still some pigment there cause she refused to do it, yet she did it where there was NO pigment. I demanded she stop and she was hostile a scary waving the needle all around my face yelling at me. I have never in my life had such an awful experience with any person! It was actually traumatic and it was to the point that I even considered that she possibly disliked me for some reason unknown to me and was purposefully trying to jack up my face, that or she is a drug addict I caught on her strung out days. Just speculating, trying to make sense of how someone could behave so horrifically! When I requested a refund she insisted I was wrong and they "looked great" and went as far as telling me that I am crazy, referenced the fact that I take Wellbutrin, which she only knew because of the info I provided on the forms. And to clarify, we were not arguing or having words, this was in the exchange that took place in writing where I respectfully requested a refund, and she was trying to fear monger me. She is the farthest thing from a kind hearted well meaning person. The last person on the planet to trust with your face! I found other reviews of people that had similar experiences to mine. Had a lash emergency and thankfully Theresa took pity on me- Yah! Cami was able to squeeze me in and fix up on poor left eye (always a problem child). The service and staff have always been great and prices are reasonable. Do yourself a favor- when in Vegas do NOT go to some random nail salon and try and get lashes. Go to the pros! Note- when booking be sure to get the "accepted" response so that you know your apt is officially booked. The app they use is good at communicating with you but you need to read what the message says - just cuz ya booked it doesn't mean it's actually accepted/confirmed. read more

Manette has a light touch and I actually fell asleep during the procedure. A day or so afterwards several of my lashes came out. Manette explained that my own lashes were so fragile that she would need to attach them higher up. She redid the entire application and they have stayed on for over two weeks! I did some research and pleasantly pleased with the reviews that I found regarding Axiom. I proceeded to make an appointment, all appointments must be made through their website which can be a process (there is no receptionist which allows Axiom staff to take more appointments). After scheduling my appointment I did receive a reminder about my scheduled appointment via email the day before. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early because I know at spas there is always some sort of paperwork to complete. I was greeted as soon as I arrived and shortly there after Manette came out and introduced herself and walked me through the paperwork and led me back to wear my procedure would be done at. Manette was very professional and explained to me the process and what to expect and we got started right away. I decided with their special the lady in Waiting Lashes and I absolutely love them. It took 2.5 hrs, I have extremely thick full lashes (I wanted the lashes for the length). Manette is definitely going to give you what you need and there was no upselling. I went here for the first time about three weeks ago, for a facial. I immediately liked the feel of this place when I walked in. It was clean, organized and even had refreshments and candy in the lobby area. :D Alana did my facial and she is great! Super nice and friendly. I was on crutches at this time and she was really helpful with assisting me in getting around. I had a lot of questions and she answered all of them. I started going to Axiom when my previous lash person canceled on me twice in a row AND had zero availability to get me in when I wasn't working. I have been seeing Manette for the last six months and not only is booking super easy, but she and the other women in the spa are fun and funny. And Manette does a fantastic job on my lashes! I've only had one issue where I needed an emergency fix and she fit me right in! I wish very much that the upkeep wasn't so painful for my wallet, but it's the one serious luxury I afford myself and this spa is well worth the expense. read more

If you go get a touch up after a year of your first initial appointment for permanent eyebrows, make sure she does an outline of the brows before beginning. She just free handed the brow strokes and they were UNEVEN as can be. I would think that she would have sat me up to assess the evenness of her work and then continue with brow strokes. She did not assess the brow evenness and I was left with two very asymmetrical brows. I was very upset and emailed her and got no response. Luckily, the brows will fade over time. I will just need to start using a different artist in the future. read more

I've already left a positive review here for Teresa Garcia and the permanent eyebrow and upper eyeliner tattoo that she did for me. I've noticed some poor reviews for her and I wanted to give my 2 cents. Just to clarify, I've gone back several times over the years for touch ups, so I have many experiences with her. It's fair to say that she is generally late--by at least a half hour. But, I think that these permanent make-up procedures take so long anyways (2-3 hours) that it really doesn't matter that much if you tack another half hour, does it? That's my perspective anyways. Also, one time I was extremely late myself because I got lost on the way, and she was more than accommodating to me. She didn't charge me or make me reschedule. She just fulfilled the appointment once I arrived. So maybe that is why people's appointments are starting late, because Teresa is too nice to turn away clients like me who were late themselves? Some people are commenting on her demeanor/personality and my take was that she is someone who has a "calls it as she sees it" personality. Some people who are more sensitive might not like that, but she is definitely entertaining when you are sitting somewhere for 3 hours and having someone work on your face. Make of that what you will. At the end of it all, and what most people care about, is the work that she does...which is EXCELLENT. She has decades of experience with permanent makeup, unlike these dime-a-dozen micro-blading stands that are popping up left and right. She does not and will not do trashy or over-the-top looks, which I really respect, and think says a lot about her aesthetic integrity (especially in Vegas, where clients could easily skew toward wanting looks that are "too much"). Also, she knows a lot about how pigments process in the body over time, and takes care to apply colors and techniques that will look good over the long term, not just in the immediate. I'm a ver curious person and learned a ton about permanent make-up while she tattoed me. She was more than happy to explain everything, and I thought it was fascinating to learn about. She is plugged-in, overall, within the aesthetic industry. She's a pro. End of story. If you want natural results that enhance your look, and you are not interested in risking it with bargain-basement/cheap pricing and technicians, and if you don't mind having someone make you laugh for a few hours, then Teresa G is your gal. read more

I got permanent eyebrow makeup and I love it. Got really wasted one night with some friends and they thought it would be funny to shave off my brows. I'm just glad this service was available out in Vegas because I was there for a wedding. It was not painful at all. I got anesthetic prior to the procedure. My permanent eyebrows are very natural and soft looking. They do not have that harsh tattoo look. I have seen some permanent makeup that looks obviously like tattoo makeup. I got the hair stroke eyebrow and it lookes perfectly natural. No one can tell it is permanent cosmetics. read more

I love Theresa! Best lash extensions you could ever get are by Theresa at Axiom Spa. She's amazing, and she is unbelievably talented with eyelash extensions. I've been getting extensions for years and I've come to be very particular with how mine are done. I pay attention to the way their put on, the glue, the quality of the lashes, etc and Theresa is by far the best I've been to. I recently learned how to wake board and her extensions stayed on even after over 30 face-front falls behind a ski boat! And on the way back to the beach, one of the girls in the boat asked if I had lash extensions and was sooooo disappointed that Theresa wasn't there in Canada so she could go to her too! read more
