Lester is very responsive and reasonable. Lester is a true professional who is very punctual with a team behind him, so no worries on his operation being a one man shop (it isn't). His team also carries a lot of experience. The craftsmanship of their work is amazing. Originally Lester visited our new home, and provided a quote to demo our existing railing, and wood steps. He then installed one inch oak on each step, and did iron work and custom railing. The railing was very interesting to see done, as they make it onsite, its individual pieces of wood glued together and bent with clamps. We also had custom gates done for our little kiddo. There was a total of four gate, as we have dual stairs within our house. By the way, both stairs were done by 3D Stairs! Once the installation is done on the steps and railing - he has a painting crew come onsite to paint and stain. After that is done, the iron is installed. We had them stain the wood to match our wood flooring (they're open to staining the wood to a desired color of choice). A project like ours takes an estimated ten days from start to finish. I'd highly recommend them if you're looking to revamp your stairs, and railing. Also, after talking to Lester, I learned that he and his crew also do wainscoting! This is the first review my husband and I have ever written about a contractor. At the time we hired Lester, we were currently remodeling our kitchen, bathrooms, and a study with another contractor. We were planning to redo our entire house. The initial contractor's bid to enclose a loft and install a staircase with iron balusters, wood posts and a handrail matching our newly installed hardwood floor and stairs, was unreasonable. We met with several contractors before hiring Lester to complete our staircase. Lester's work was done efficiently and meticulously. Our other contractor even requested Lester's contact information from us. After having numerous challenges and delays with our initial contractor, we retained Lester to complete all of the additional work in our home. They also installed floor tiles, wall tiles and custom built cabinets with a beautiful finish in our laundry room that were superior in quality to our new kitchen cabinets. He worked with me and my designer and executed our vision completely. We had a slight issue, but Lester was the consummate professional and addressed it. I hired Lester to remove some baseboards, install new kickboards, and add a handrail. The job came out just how I wanted. Our staircase is a bit odd but Lester came out to our house and came up with some ideas about the design of the handrail. The finished product was attractive, safe, and functional.
