They were super patient as I stumbled through picking out a pot and a set of ornaments (made by the staff!) and sent me off with a calendar of upcoming events and everything picked up nicely organized in a box. Felt like I hit the plant-based jackpot walk-in out of there, excited to go back.

Hallie, the instructor, was wonderful and made the class feel welcoming and easy to follow. It was great getting to know the other students too, and doing manifestation work as a group. I made a eucalyptus-scented candle and loved that we got to choose and decorate our own crystal adornments, dried flowers, and shells. Such a creative, relaxing experience. They also offer other classes like sound baths, somatic dance, etc. Highly recommend if you're looking for something fun and unique to do!

Since the new ownership, the goods in the store can be found so many places. Nothing feels unique and the store now feels soulless. Almost all of the original staff have left under the new ownership. The website still claims that this is its focus, but in reality, very few of their items fit this description. I miss the old Alair, with soul, personality, warmth, kindness, and community at its core. It's a shame that under new ownership the business lost all of that. Update: Alair has petitioned for my review to be taken down from Yelp because they didn't like that I made a negative review-I have reached out to Yelp petitioning that I didn't violate any terms.

The volume at which the owner spoke was completely distracting. 4. Put price tags on things. There were some super cute knee high socks that I kept gravitating to, but contained no price tag nor was there any signage about the product. People do not like having to ask for the price of things. Be kind and label them. We have no intention of returning. Feeling sad and frustrated. A side note: I am not giving the one star rating because of this experience. I have been in this store several times before this and every time the owner and/or person working behind the counter seems completely consumed with something/someone else.

I always try to support local businesses, especially children's stores, but unfortunately my experiences here have consistently felt unwelcoming. My most recent visit was while shopping for my daughter's upcoming 3rd birthday. When I walked in, neither of the two employees in the store acknowledged me. After a while, I received a very cold greeting from one of them. During checkout, I commented that it was nice to see they carried adult clothing as well, and the owner responded with, "We always have," in a tone that came across as harsh and dismissive. On its own, this interaction might not have been a big deal, but it reflects a pattern I've experienced over the years. I've repeatedly found the atmosphere to be unfriendly, particularly in my interactions with the owner. As a parent who regularly shops for children's clothing and enjoys supporting local businesses, customer service matters. I want to spend my money where customers feel welcomed and appreciated. Because of the consistent lack of warmth and customer care I've experienced, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. That's disappointing, because I genuinely prefer supporting neighborhood businesses whenever possible.
