What a great find and in TX no less. Our partners office was across the street. I spotted the sign when we got there in the morning. I am a complete Tiki fanatic. When we finished the day, people were deciding where to go while we waited for our dinner reservation at another establishment. I knew what I was doing. I went over and had two colleagues follow me. We walked in and were amazed. It was cool and dark and the decorations were amazing. A lot of beautiful antiques everywhere. The menu was super innovative. We met the man with the drinks and his wonderful dog. He was a friendly individual with a passion for Tiki drinks. I believe his name was Chris and the dog was Grizzly. I could be wrong. My apologies if I am I started with a ZOMBIE. This is my litmus test for how good the mixologist is; how good the ingredients are and how authentic the Tiki glass is. Well, it was a home run. One of the best zombies I have had in terms of balance and strength. The glass it was served in was perfect ( see photo). This is the closest tiki bar to me, and Parker to Arlington is a hike. It's worth it. Small spot, friendly bar staff, and a cool vibe. I love tiki drinks, and they dig great on a few. Highly recommend the cobra fang (and I picked up two of the mugs) and the jet pilot. Didn't care for the saturn (too sweet) and the mai tai was good, but not great. Went for happy hour on a Wednesday! I sat at the bar and was greeted by a lovely bartender named Chris. Ordered the painkiller and honestly, this was one of the best cocktails I've had in a LONG time. I frequent tiki bars wherever I travel (love rum!) and was not expecting Arlington to have a place like this -- I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Everything is made in house daily so the ingredients are fresh. Every cocktail is served in a very nice cup too. During happy hour, there are 4-5 drinks are $10 apiece. We had so much fun here on a Saturday night we had to come back twice!! We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the WIDE array of drink options. I love how they can make you a mocktail based on what you like and you get a little surprise with what they make of it. What a gem in Arlington! We were looking for a fun spot to hang at before our trip to Mexico, and 4 Kahunas was definitely JUST the right place!! I really am so glad that Arlington has some great spots like this now, as I always felt it was a part of DFW that had way more potential. 4 Kahunas has a wonderful ambiance that I honestly prefer over many of the very hyped up tiki bars back in Los Angeles. The service inside is chill, relaxed, and personable. You don't feel rushed, but they also get out your drinks without delay. I was also impressed by just how STRONG yet also fruity and flavorful many of the drinks were!! Just two drinks each had both of us VERY pleased and chatty for the whole night, while at a lot of other places, it would've taken at least twice as many to feel as....vibey! ;) For some spectacle, I definitely recommend either The Tiki Torch or Jet Pilot, both of which they light on fire!! And quite the flames they were! I also loved the Zombie cocktail - just consider yourself warned that it is indeed VERY strong! Needless to say I loved 4 Kahunas. I had the Zombie and Tidepool which were delicious. I would recommend these if you prefer fruiter drinks where you can't taste the alcohol as much. The service was great and our drinks were ready shortly after ordering them. The aesthetics of the place live up to its name and was super nice. Let me tell you, visiting 4 Kahunas was like sitting in an early 60s ultra cool movie. The place is smallish and located near AT&T Stadium. The ambiance is all out Tiki. There were a couple of low key dogs roaming around in the place, adding a positive laid back vibe. Enough about the room, the drinks were the highlight. They have an extensive menu and they all looked enticing. The prices were reasonable. Anywhere from $9 to $14 depending on what you order. The drinks were very tasty and deceptively strong. I understand the allure of Tiki now. However, I am very grateful we took an Uber. These packed a punch. Bottom line worth the visit and worth the experience! read more

They have a new system where you have to wait to be seated and if you're at a table, the bartenders come around to take your order. We were here for 2 hours. And no one ever came to our table but they would go to others. We had one drink because we went to order it at the bar. As good as the drinks were, it didn't feel great being ignored. Honestly, 4 Kahunas Tiki Lounge right here in Arlington is right up there with the very best of them. The place just feels like an instant getaway. It's tucked back off the main drag but the second you walk in you're on some tropical island, no plane ticket required. The cocktails are legit. Super well-made, great balance, real tiki depth, none of that fake sweet garbage you sometimes get. Every drink we've had has been spot-on. Maggie working the bar is the real MVP though. She's quick, knows her stuff inside out, super friendly, and somehow makes the whole night feel personal. Whatever we ordered, she crushed it and kept the good vibes going. She's a huge reason we keep coming back. Only thing that would make it even better? A water feature. A little fountain, a trickling stream down some rocks, or even a small waterfall wall in the back would dial the ambiance up to 11 and really sell that full island escape feel. I was in town visiting from Florida and my friend (who is a local) stopped in. 4 Kahunas is located in a cute little area of town with a bunch of other restaurants and drinking establishments, very walkable. It's decorated like your typical tiki spot with an added dive bar twist. Their menu is listed online, I never saw a paper menu but that was fine! I was shocked by the prices, in FL a typical tiki bar will easily run you $18-22 so I was very happy to see more reasonable prices at 4 Kahunas. Both bartenders were super friendly, helping us make decisions about cocktails. I got a cocktail (I can't remember the name) and it had the most elaborate garnish I've ever seen on a drink (aside from a bloody mary) It was a pirate ship! I loved it! We also saw another drink that had a dolphin made out of a banana as a garnish. Anyway, my first drink was delicious and very strong, like hella strong! My friend said her drink was strong too! The vibe inside was very relaxed so we enjoyed just hanging out and catching up somewhere where we could actually hear each other. My second drink was a seasonal drink with ube, it was good but not as good as my first. Overall, we got 5 drinks and our total was like $65 after tip which is amazing in my opinion. Almost 6 years later and the rating holds true. The cocktails here never disappoint. The flavors range from citrusy to sweet, to boozy, to bittersweet. Something for everyone. It can not be stressed enough that patience is the key here. This is not a vodka soda. There are many ingredients involved, and many drinks have cool and decorative designs (see photos). These are well crafted by fantastic bartenders. If you want a quick drink, this probably isn't the right place. This spot is all about amazing drinks in an amazing environment. A lovely cute, little quant spot! Probably only fits like 50 people, intimate, and great drinks! Great spot to stop at for post meal drinks or just a break from shopping. The customer service was great, the drinks were great, and I love dim lighting! The only reason it is not a 5 star is because I feel like some good music would've been the cherry on top for me.
