We had so much fun here on a Saturday night we had to come back twice!! We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the WIDE array of drink options. I love how they can make you a mocktail based on what you like and you get a little surprise with what they make of it. The staff were so kind and chill and the chocolate lab was a sweet and calm addition to the bar. It's cozy and intimate in here but plenty of free parking in the lot. The price for the quality is heard to beat, I will have to come back!!

Golden Monkey...

Wow! I wish I had found this place a long time ago! Although, while I am in Dallas a lot, I rarely make it to Arlington, but having found this gem, I will definitely be making the trek here again! This place is literally a hidden gem, had a friend not told me about it, I would've never come here. It is small but mighty! We came in on a sunny afternoon and it took a few minutes for my eyes to adjust- but once they did, I fell in love! Small, a few tables and a small bar, I pulled up a stool and sat at the bar- and took in the cool Tiki ambiance! After consulting the bartender on the drinks, I settled for a Golden Monkey to start with and it was perfect. My second drink was a Painkiller, and boy, did it work! My friends and I had a great time, and I found out through conversations with the bartenders that Vinnie Paul used to come here frequently- and that made this place even cooler...

Went for happy hour on a Wednesday! I sat at the bar and was greeted by a lovely bartender named Chris. Ordered the painkiller and honestly, this was one of the best cocktails I've had in a LONG time. I frequent tiki bars wherever I travel (love rum!) and was not expecting Arlington to have a place like this -- I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Everything is made in house daily so the ingredients are fresh. Every cocktail is served in a very nice cup too. During happy hour, there are 4-5 drinks are $10 apiece. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back! I'll definitely recommend it to anyone going to the area too. Decor/Ambiance was outstanding. This is a hidden gem!

What a gem in Arlington! We were looking for a fun spot to hang at before our trip to Mexico, and 4 Kahunas was definitely JUST the right place!! I really am so glad that Arlington has some great spots like this now, as I always felt it was a part of DFW that had way more potential. 4 Kahunas has a wonderful ambiance that I honestly prefer over many of the very hyped up tiki bars back in Los Angeles. The service inside is chill, relaxed, and personable. You don't feel rushed, but they also get out your drinks without delay. I was also impressed by just how STRONG yet also fruity and flavorful many of the drinks were!! Just two drinks each had both of us VERY pleased and chatty for the whole night, while at a lot of other places, it would've taken at least twice as many to feel as....vibey! ;) For some spectacle, I definitely recommend either The Tiki Torch or Jet Pilot, both of which they light on fire!! And quite the flames they were! I also loved the Zombie cocktail - just consider yourself warned that it is indeed VERY strong! Needless to say I loved 4 Kahunas. It's a definite must (in my book) for a night out in Arlington!

I love love love Tiki bars. This place was no exception. First know, they don't have food, but there is a taco place right next door. The bar tender was knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks were on point. There were plenty of places to sit that were cozy. This would be a great place to bring a couple friends and enjoy some fun cocktails. We had a great time.

What a cute fun spot for cocktails: you can't go wrong with tasty strong drinks with umbrellas. It's small inside and barely any seating outside.

Minty Claus! (Comes with a peppermint stick)

A gem! My friends and I were in town to attend a graduation and we're glad we stumbled upon this tiki bar. It was very beautifully decorated and the staff was very friendly. We got a couple of drinks but my favorite was the seasonal Minty Claus. It had just the right amount of holiday spirit and it wasn't overly sweet. A perfect drink if you ask me! There's parking right out front. Would return!

Well we love Tiki bars. From Dallas only visit this one once a year during Dallas Tiki Week. No food strong Tiki Drinks.

Everything was great, the drinks were yummy and the ambience had a really cool beachy vibe. The place felt fun and relaxed, perfect for hanging out. Also the bartenders were so cool and down to earth. Only downside is it can be hard to find seating on weekends, but overall definitely worth checking out.

Chris was awesome. Drinks were unique and super delicious. We were greeted by a sweet dog named Grizzly Bear. It's dog friendly. Drinks and tiki what more could you want. We will definitely go back. It's an awesome tiki bar

I've hit up a bunch of the big-name "best in the country" tiki bars over the years. Places on both coasts and a few under-the-radar ones. Honestly, 4 Kahunas Tiki Lounge right here in Arlington is right up there with the very best of them. The place just feels like an instant getaway. It's tucked back off the main drag but the second you walk in you're on some tropical island, no plane ticket required. The cocktails are legit. Super well-made, great balance, real tiki depth, none of that fake sweet garbage you sometimes get. Every drink we've had has been spot-on. Maggie working the bar is the real MVP though. She's quick, knows her stuff inside out, super friendly, and somehow makes the whole night feel personal. Whatever we ordered, she crushed it and kept the good vibes going. She's a huge reason we keep coming back. Only thing that would make it even better? A water feature. A little fountain, a trickling stream down some rocks, or even a small waterfall wall in the back would dial the ambiance up to 11 and really sell that full island escape feel. If you're anywhere in the DFW area and you're into tiki or just killer cocktails, you gotta check out 4 Kahunas. Small spot, super cozy, and easily one of the best tiki experiences in Texas. Already counting down to the next visit.

Tidepool (right)

I had the Zombie and Tidepool which were delicious. I would recommend these if you prefer fruiter drinks where you can't taste the alcohol as much. The service was great and our drinks were ready shortly after ordering them. The aesthetics of the place live up to its name and was super nice. They also have a dog that roams around so feel free to give him some pets while you are there. They also have varying table sizes and sections to accommodate varying party sizes.

It's dog friendly!

Kris, Grizz, Maggie, and Logan are the best! We've been coming here since they first opened and always enjoy the drinks and vibes. The staff take great care in serving and seating everyone, and we couldn't appreciate it more! Our dogs love it too.

The place looks nice. Love the atmosphere and cozy feel. But the place smelled like dog. They need some air ventilation in this place.

They've got wall projectors showing off beach scenes, the bar is the prow of a ship, and a ring of booths with thatch roofs surround the bar. The suspended ceiling sort of broke the vibe, but they'd worked to make it translucent and backlit. Overall, a cool pirate vibe. The service was great. We were there on Saturday at 2pm, shortly after they opened, and it was a single bartender...so his service was great. Drinks were interesting. They do a number of riffs on tiki drinks: their Morse code is a take on the classic three dots and a dash, they have two zombie riffs, they have a riff on the Painkiller. If you're looking for slavish adherence to the old recipes, this ain't your place. But they're not reinventions, and that's a very tiki thing. Some are misses - the black walnut bitters in the Pain Kill ARR made no sense, but the light rum and lack of honey in the Morse Code were bright and refreshing. Over the span of 150 minutes the two of us had seven drinks and three mixed shots. All well made, all generally good, no absolute home runs. Totally worth a return trip. It'll be fun to visit during a busier time.

First, you should make a reservation on OpenTable. It is a small coffee shop venue in the Half Price Books so just coming without a reservation would not be advised unless you want to wait a long time or might not be able to be accommodated for a seating. We started with the Tiki Drinks of course. I love a sweet drink so i chose the Banana Alexandra. It is cacao rum and cream and banana. It also comes with a frozen chocolate covered banana. The Six Word Story was suggested as it is less sweet than the hurricane but the Hurricane is very popular. The Six Word was very citrus tasting but not super sweet but very tasty. Next we got the Lumpia. It was very crispy with a fantastic chili sauce. It was so good. Then we got the Bread and Butter because it is a bakery and need their bread. The Honey Butter was awesome and so was the bread. We went with the whole Branzino fish tacos and house made corn tortillas. What a visual treat. You have never seen such a presentation. The tacos were amazing. The crispy fish and sauce and cabbage was amazing. For dessert, we went OFF menu and got the Pistachio Tres Leche Cake with pistachio cream and strawberries. It was so amazing!! Always go off menu is my advice. We then selected some pastries to go and you MUST try the Vietnamese Coffee Brownie!! It didn't last long when i got home. Atmosphere is Deep Ellumish, but nicer, more family friendly. Ordered the garlic flatbread, a Margherita pizza with sausage, cup pepperoni, and caramelized onions. Everything was as expected. That I travel to Socal a lot, this pizza reminds me of being in Oceanside, San Diego, looking out at the waves crashing in, sauntering back out, soft salty breezes, and taking it sooooo easy. It's a relaxing bite. Brick oven sophistication, but simple fresh ingredients that make each slice super light. It's a vacation for the palate away from the usual. Try the patio. Service was awesome. I asked if it could be cooked a little longer. The server said it would take about five minutes, but when the dish came back, the texture was exactly the same. It didn't seem like anything had been changed. What made the experience even more disappointing was the service. The server never came back to check if the recooked dish was satisfactory.
