Since Swizzle went returned to its roots as a pop-up business, I needed another tiki fix close to Ft. Worth. Tarantula Tiki has claimed this role for me! Between two people, we happily sipped on the Port au Prince Albert, Sex Bob-Omb, and Tiki Martin. Cool vibes, lots of drinks to choose from, and very chill bartender (on the day we went). We'll be back!

Drinks 10/10, Deco 10/10, fast service 9.5/10! Of you like unique drinks, just do it! They serve water, a MUSTTTT! Will be back when in town for sure.

There are not many unique tiki lounges like Tarantula Tiki Lounge. Coming here makes you feel like you are walking into the sweetest but darkest side of the ocean as soon as you open the door to come in. With the air conditioning pumping (which is important for hot summer Texas nights) all of the hanging streamers move like octopus tentacles! I loved the ambiance here as we stumbled upon the tiki lounge while looking for one while we visited. The drinks here are super unique and flavorful! There is so much to look through and choose as you browse the menu. We went during Halloween and they had some October specials and offerings that included cute fun plastic witch fingers, pumpkin heads, and some cool skeleton/skull paddle board stirrers. It's always the little things like adding the detailed additions to colorful drinks that I appreciate. Staff was super nice and patient as we made our decisions on what to drink. Lots of sweet drinks but totally worth trying whatever catches your eye from the menu as everything we ordered did not disappoint and was all worth of later-'Gram sharing. This tiki lounge is definitely one we will not forget as we had such a pleasant time sipping our drinks, under some neon lights, surrounded by cool art and decor!

Service was great, the drinks were strong, and the vibes are great! It's pretty dark when you first walk in, but your eyes adjust and it's perfect.

What a fun lounge to go to after dinner. I loved everything from the decor to the service. The drink menu is a booklet filled with classics and modern tropical cocktails. I'll have to come back to try them all.

Let me just say, what an experience! Hole in the wall that serves a mean drink. The servers are entertaining and well worth the stop. Stop by for a drink when you are in the area. Awesome tiki experience! Enjoy.

Tried a Black Spider grog and a Zombie. Loved our tikitender Hannah. She was knowledgeable about drinks and what to get. This place is reminiscent of Golden Tiki in a faint way. I love this place. Strong drinks and tasty too We will be back on yhe next few days we are in Texas. Bety relaxing. Beachy, also reminds me of the Reef on Palm Springs. I LOVE IT HERE.

It has been a couple of months since my visit and I still think about our evening here. It was such fun. We basically had a chance to hang out with our friends, drink fantastically fun and unique drinks, and have an interactive comedy show. Kollin was our waiter, and from the moment he walked up to our table until we said our goodbyes, he entertained us with jokes. I don't remember the other waiter's name, but he was teaming on some of the jokes. The drink list is on point and has something for everyone, even if you do not like sweet drinks. The drinks are strong and tasty. You will definitely enjoy your night here, and I recommend it!

I finically made it here on a Friday at 2:30pm right when they open. I know it's too early but you can't even feel that as soon as you walk in to this place. It's 5o'clock somewhere! The Tarantula Tiki Lounge is a bar/lounge known for its unique tiki-themed atmosphere and drinks. With its tropical decor, exotic cocktails, and dimly lit ambiance, it offers a fun and vibrant experience for patrons. The lounge typically features a variety of tiki-inspired cocktails, often served in decorative mugs or glasses. Whether you're looking to enjoy a refreshing beverage or soak in the tiki vibe, this lounge is a great destination for those seeking a tropical escape especially in this Texas heat.

Service always good and attentive. The space is small and a bit dark, but it is set up well as it allows for intimate space with your party, or you can sit at the bar. There's also an outdoor patio if you prefer. The drink selection is pretty extensive all things considered, beyond the basics (daiquiri and mai tai). I opted for a drink that had a mezcal base this time, but habenero scared me away so the bartender suggested their drink of the month since it was pretty similar and it was on special today, works for me and even though there's matcha I didn't notice as the drink is well balanced. The noise level was fair for the size and amount of people inside. All around a pretty chill trip.

They've got wall projectors showing off beach scenes, the bar is the prow of a ship, and a ring of booths with thatch roofs surround the bar. The suspended ceiling sort of broke the vibe, but they'd worked to make it translucent and backlit. Overall, a cool pirate vibe. The service was great. We were there on Saturday at 2pm, shortly after they opened, and it was a single bartender...so his service was great. Drinks were interesting. They do a number of riffs on tiki drinks: their Morse code is a take on the classic three dots and a dash, they have two zombie riffs, they have a riff on the Painkiller. If you're looking for slavish adherence to the old recipes, this ain't your place. But they're not reinventions, and that's a very tiki thing. Some are misses - the black walnut bitters in the Pain Kill ARR made no sense, but the light rum and lack of honey in the Morse Code were bright and refreshing. Over the span of 150 minutes the two of us had seven drinks and three mixed shots. All well made, all generally good, no absolute home runs. Totally worth a return trip. It'll be fun to visit during a busier time.

Honestly, 4 Kahunas Tiki Lounge right here in Arlington is right up there with the very best of them. The place just feels like an instant getaway. It's tucked back off the main drag but the second you walk in you're on some tropical island, no plane ticket required. The cocktails are legit. Super well-made, great balance, real tiki depth, none of that fake sweet garbage you sometimes get. Every drink we've had has been spot-on. Maggie working the bar is the real MVP though. She's quick, knows her stuff inside out, super friendly, and somehow makes the whole night feel personal. Whatever we ordered, she crushed it and kept the good vibes going. She's a huge reason we keep coming back. Only thing that would make it even better? A water feature. A little fountain, a trickling stream down some rocks, or even a small waterfall wall in the back would dial the ambiance up to 11 and really sell that full island escape feel. If you're anywhere in the DFW area and you're into tiki or just killer cocktails, you gotta check out 4 Kahunas. Small spot, super cozy, and easily one of the best tiki experiences in Texas. Already counting down to the next visit.

The inside is completely decked out for Xmas, and its definitely something to see. At 6pm the place was already pretty full, no open tables (other than 1 that was "reserved"..more on this later..) and the bar was at least 2-deep all the way around. We had planned to eat and have a couple drinks, but with it all 8-10 "tables" (5 booths, 5 tiny round drink tables) already filled, we were left to stand and wait/hope to catch a seat or table from someone leaving. Luckily we were able to grab a small drink table that had 5 seats around it within 20 mins...must have been our lucky day, as many other people stood for at least 1-2 hours. The food looked good...but...you had to order from the bar, which had grown to 3-4 deep by 7pm...so we just opted for drinks. Bartenders were hustling all night, felt sorry for them, but I assume automatic 18% gratuity on every order ensures they aren't being cheated. Back to the "reserved" table....well...for the 2+ hours we were there the table that could have held 10+ people was never used. What a bad idea and a poor look for a crowded spot. Why not allow it to be used up until 15 min of the reservation time? Honestly, the place is just OK, cool to see the decoration, but WAAAAAAAAAY overhyped for what it is. Also of note, by 9pm there was a waiting line outside the place with at least 50-60 people waiting to get it. Plenty of other bars nearby where you can get exactly what this place has to offer...aside from the "hype" and decorations.
