They had to strip down 2 layers, and unfortunately they found unseen rot and had to replace some plywood panels, which changed the cost. I already suspected as much so wasn't shocked and they had been transparent with the cost before starting the job. The crew of 5 or so workers were there before 7am and they were mostly done by 1pm on my ranch house. The supervisor was there for the entire job and his supervisor dropped by several times throughout the day, as well being there for the start and finish. The crew did a very good job of cleaning up and checking for nails with a magnetic sweeper. I was very pleased with the work and am happy with my pretty new roof. If you want quality work, excellent communication, and ease of mind, hire Build Pros. We originally wanted to have our microwave vented out (rather than circulating air and grease in the kitchen) and add a second banister to the stairs to the basement to make them more safe for our growing toddler. We were also considering having our spare basement bathroom remodeled. The bathroom really wasn't very functional because it was built in pieces (so the gross tiny stall shower wasn't even in the bathroom). That was a big job, and we wanted to get a quote for all three pieces. The first two jobs were too small on their own, so we hired Build Pros for all three. They were amazing to work with, and the work they did was the highest of quality. The team was extremely communicative, and we always knew when they were coming, what they were doing next, and what to expect. Their spreadsheet system made it really easy for everyone to keep track of what we had selected, costs, etc. They helped us a ton with design decisions, made recommendations when appropriate, and made sure we were happy with absolutely everything before moving forward. Our house stayed unbelievably clean, given the level of work they were doing, throughout the process. Mike and Rouben were fantastic at reimagining the layout of our bathroom, taking all of our priorities into consideration. John, their carpenter, is a master. We went way over budget, but a lot of that was my fault. I wanted a bathroom that was functional, but the more we talked and designed, the more I realized we actually could get a really *nice* bathroom that wasn't just functional, but high end. They did a bunch of other random things in the area too. We just were so happy with their work, and they were already there, so we asked them to fit in a few small things and they were awesome in getting those done too (adding a couple outlets in the adjacent home gym, replacing our outdoor water spigots, etc.). We are extremely happy with the final products. We even had a water problem shortly after they finished. They fixed it swiftly with no charge. It might have been a part issue or a labor issue, and so in the beginning it was unclear whether we were going to have to pay for repairs right away. I would have been very disappointed if they had charged us, and have all the more confidence in them since they fixed it and stood by the work and warranty. The only real negative was that sometimes when we had to make a decision, and the team gave us a quick "off the cuff" estimate about how much a few different options would cost, the estimate was really a fair amount lower than estimated. That contributed to some of our cost increase, but in the end I think we would have made the same decisions regardless. We're extremely happy with the final products. We even hired them again and they're starting work at my mother-in-laws house this week! I'm already dreaming of putting an addition on our house in the future, and we will hire them absolutely if/when we do this.

I just felt that Dennis was a bit more knowledgeable about the product options and the installation details. His warranty was also better than the competition. He scheduled the installation at our convenience and his crew was absolutely amazing. We had between 12 and 18 workers on the job throughout the day and they were incredible. Hard working, polite, friendly and incredibly efficient. The site supervisor (Rick) was here all day making sure that everything went well and explained everything that was being installed and answered all of our questions. The morning of the project start you meet the project manager (in my case Jeff R) and discuss anything that concerns you. Crew arrives, dumpster and material get delivered. I came home for lunch and it appeared a bomb went off (in a good way), entire perimeter of the house was covered in tarps and anything fragile was covered to protect, the main house was striped and shingled except for the front portico. My shed was stripped and was going to be complete after lunch. I came home from work and everything was picked up and put back in place. There were a few perennials that were damaged (no problem they will grow back), bear in mind landscaping was covered with a tarp, ladders and bundles of shingles are heavy. The crew uses a large pull behind magnet to pick up nails, all we found was 1 nail = great job. My wife and I could not be happier and can't wait for the rest of the work to be done.
