Joplin 44 is easily one of our favorite truck stops in the country. Plenty of truck parking…read more(including reserve spots), a hotel on site, truck service, laundry, and some of the cleanest, most spacious showers we've found -- and we almost never have to wait. We love all the Route 66 throwbacks and really hope they never change the Route 66-themed bathrooms or move the Mother Road show semi out front. It gives the whole place such a fun, nostalgic vibe you don't find at most travel centers. There are tons of food choices, a truck wash/tub, and even a barber on site which is pretty rare these days. Everything is well kept and the staff is always friendly. Special thanks to Pat for the nice laugh this morning -- she sent us off smiling before we hit the road. Always a great stop when we're passing through Missouri.

Didn't really look like they made many changes to the truck accessories area. The big rig on the turn table has always been a cool feature. Not a trucker so not sure how it rates from that perspective but from a passenger car perspective the variety of food options, the coffee bar area and the convenience portion is nice. Biggest issue is getting in and out of the parking area. Truckers and passenger cars all merging at the same light makes it crazy getting in and out.

**Caution** Today, I went to AutoHaus for a simple…read morestate inspection and to have a reverse light bulb replaced on my car. I even brought my own bulbs--this should have been a quick, easy job. Instead, I was stuck there for an outrageous hour and 17 minutes for something that should have taken 20 minutes max. And that's being generous. I've changed these bulbs myself before. It's a 5-7 minute job with two bolts to remove. The inspection itself? 10-15 minutes, tops. Then came the real slap in the face: $76!! $12 for the inspection. $64 for labor. - TO INSTALL BULBS I PROVIDED. At no point did anyone bother to tell me how long this would take, or what it would cost. And when I rightfully called them out on it, the employee had the nerve to be dismissive and condescending. Instead of addressing my concerns, he sarcastically asked, "Well, why didn't you do it yourself?" To which I replied, "Because I can't do an inspection myself, and I thought it would be easier to do them at the same time." For comparison, I called another local shop after the fact. They quoted me $10-$15 for the same job, plus the $12 inspection. And guess what? They would have had it done in a fraction of the time. Let me be crystal clear: AutoHaus ripped me off! They wasted my time, overcharged me, and treated me like my concerns didn't matter. If you value your money and your patience, take your business elsewhere.

I was quick with the review I posted. When the Autohaus team "fixed" my sons car in one day, we…read morewere shocked. However, once we got it home, it began dying, and acting so strange. The turbo wouldn't engage, car would idle all over the place and die. They thankfully had it towed to them, at no cost to us. They then said it was a solenoid. Got it fixed, car still wouldn't engage the turbo. My 17 year old son found the problem; they didn't attach the charge pipe. Needless to say, all my confidence in this place has completely fallen off. Their customer service is A1 tho
