I had 48 hour inspection for my sewer scope, they came recorded the video and provided an analysis of the pipe. The tech called out multiple types of materials within the line and provided the recommendation that it looked good and was clear of issues. cut to 2 years later and I'm having my entire sewer line replaced in my front yard. the tech failed to correctly identify the type of material within my line. Failed to notice bad connections. Failed to notice the bottom was rotted out of the line and cracks were appearing. The sewer line replacement plumbers with 20+ years of experience identified all of these issues when i showed them the video from the original inspection. My line was 68 years old and the pipe material was fully rotten on the bottom. I am going to be out upwards of 15k dollars due to this issue. Of course, in the contract I have no recourse against 48-hour inspection, so please let my review be a warning. Get a certified plumber to come and do your inspections. Or make sure you get the Sewer line add on in your home insurance.... read more

In purchasing a home, I hired a service that bundled a sewer scope with the home inspection. They were unable to run their scope to the street leaving me with unanswered questions. I turned to 48 hour and hired them to come do the job as they had different equipment and more options and choices of length and size of scopes. They were able to find a clean out that enabled them to access the view to the street and verify that all was functioning fine. My husband and I have just recently sold our home and bought another home. Troy was hired by the buyers of our old home to do the sewer scope. His initial scope found a block and his recommendation was that the whole sewer line would need to be replaced, which could cost upwards of $10,000. He made this recommendation without figuring out exactly where the block was and what was blocking the line. This put both my husband and I, as well as the buyers of our home in a panic. We almost lost the sale of our home! After my husband and I did our due diligence and got a second opinion, it was found that the block was in the main sewer line and that is was the cities responsibility. After the city fixed the issue, they brought Troy back and he responded that the line was clear. The sale went through but the stress that was brought to both families was unnecessary. We would highly recommend you to go somewhere else if you were to sell/buyl a home because I would fear that his services may bring on added stress to the sellers and buyers. read more
