Brought a rug in to be cleaned and he charged me $100 up front and $25 when I pick up. Came to pick up rug and rug looked identical to when I dropped it off. I pointed out to guy working an he got all defensive and said I shouldn't wait too long to clean. This was not that dirty but still had hairs on it from my cat. Could have approached issue differently instead got hostile and rude. Do not recommend this guy or place unless you want to have them hold your rug for three weeks so they can send to someone else and then get it back exactly the same way read more

DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER - THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU - they literally ran a bait-and-switch on us. I have used them for years, so I dropped of some items for dry cleaning. When my husband picked up my items he was charged $15.50 more. I had told the owner I was moving away, and I think he saw an opportunity to rip us off. He said I called the items a dress (which HIS employee thoroughly examined and called a long dress), but that it was a gown. I didn't call it anything - HIS employee made that decision. The items were a very light weight, cotton dress - they certainly weren't gowns. He just took complete advantage of the situation. Really needed to pick something up and came to a sign saying "Be back in 10"...called multiple times and even drove by twice and the 10 minutes turned into a couple hours. Once I confronted the owner he stated he was only gone the 10 mins. and I must be mistaken. Really?!? Also quoted a price that changed after pick up because "The employee mis- counted" This owner takes no responsibility for his mistakes and wouldn't even give a discount for my troubles. The owner is a great guy. They wash and fold all my laundry and charge by the pound. Sure! it costs more than doing it myself, but my time off is too valuable. The service is perfect for single professionals or anyone who just doesn't want to spend 10-20 hours a month doing laundry. My clothes come back beautifully washed, folded, and when I get them home I just have to hang the shirts, and throw the rest in the dresser. Have used them about a year, and have had three issues to date. The first time, I dropped off a stack of clothes which included a pair of pants that needed a button sewn back on. I picked up the clothes and did not realize until I got home that the pants were missing. Spoke to the lady owner and she said I was mistaken and it was there. Since I was looking right at the clothes, I was confounded by her statement and gave up. She later called back after they had "found" the pants, but I did not get an apology. Kind of strange. The other issues were both with men's dress shirts that they had ruined by making creases in them that would not go away. The first time, they did not want to admit they ruined the shirt and tried unsuccessfully to remove the ripple from my shirt, finally they gave me a $20 credit. Then the other day I opened my shirts and three of them had the same issue. I frequented the place because of the cheap price for dress shirts (under $2), but its not worth it anymore. read more

I brought my suede leather coat in to get dry cleaned. When I picked up my coat, it was raining and I was on my lunch break. I ran in and out then went to back to work. The following day I took it out of the bag and put it on. There was a tear right next to the pocket. I stopped by the dry cleaners on the way home from work and showed them. At first they acted as if they couldn't understand English. After about 15 minutes of trying to communicate with the woman, her son came out and told me I tore the coat and they would not fix it. Amazingly the woman realized she CAN speak English and told me I had the coat for two days and I should have told them right away...... Umm I did. After using the same dry cleaner in Placerville ( remain nameless) I decided to try 49er. They've been in business since I was a kid. From my first step in the door, I was impressed. The gentleman that helped me at the counter was friendly and not pushy. I had several work shirts and asked them to be laundered. Unlike the other cleaner, he understood what I wanted and didn't to push extra services that are not needed on work shirts. Didn't even get to make it through the door to have a bad experience. Calling for a quote was bad enough. She never once understood what I was asking for when I clearly said these almost exact words..."I have a pair of leggings (faux leather) 92%poly and 8%spandex and said that I wanted to get a quote and get an idea of the cost and also check if you offer odor treatment" because unfortunately my cat got ahold of them. The tag says dry clean only and that's the only reason I called. I have never had any clothes dry cleaned so this is very new to me. First, I had to ask who I called because I didn't understand when she answered. She was mumbling or something. Then she was just rude from the beginning and never could explain it in a way that she would understand so I went onto the next place also a nightmare. Customer service up here is terrible! I don't understand just because its a smaller town that they can get away with treating people so nasty. It amazes me that people support businesses with these attitudes. read more

Normal clothes they do ok, haven't had a problem with sweaters or coats. BUT they RUINED a dress of mine. I took a satin/silk cocktail dress to get cleaned there a few weeks ago. I thought the dress was relatively clean just had gotten a little dusty because it had sat in a pile in my closet for a while because I kept putting off taking it. I took it to get cleaned, they cleaned it once and then when I went to pick it up they told me there was a small water stain right on the front (which I had not seen before and believe me I looked that dress over before taking it to them and I did not see it!) and they said they wanted to run it again. Not thinking anything of it, I said sure if you dont think the first time did a good enough job do it again. Well, when I went to pick it up after them running it the second time they just tried to give it back and not show anything. I didnt think anything of it until I got home and looked at it in the light. There is a 2-3 square inch section on my dress completely RUINED. The material just does not look at all like the satin/silk, it is bumpy and looks like it was melted. I have taken the dress back and they say they will "fix" it. As in put an additional piece of material over it, like a patch (horrible looking) or add a material addition onto it (like sew on scarf). They have not offered to even refund the dry cleaning money. I am angry. The dress is expensive and designer and I made the mistake of taking it to someplace that didnt know what they were doing on nice dresses. Overall not happy. Might take some "average" clothes back to them but probably not. They need to deal with stuff like this better or tell the customer that they cannot do that type of material! read more

I've been taking items to this cleaner for nearly 3 years and have always had great service. They have all of their plant on premises, which means nothing has to be 'sent out' and into the abyss that is Drycleaner-land. A very big plus! Not to mention, they use an environmentally-friendly method which I approve of. Shirts, sweaters, slacks, and uniforms. All come out great, and in four days on average. They will do rush, next days service for a nominal fee increase for those last-minute items or for out-of-towners looking to get a soiled article cleaned before leaving. I don't know if they do leather articles or hats, but I'll be asking about both soon. read more

I explained over the phone that I had 2 couch cushions and was told to bring them down and they start at 10.00 a piece. So, I drove 30 minutes to get there and was then told they cant do the cushions just the covers and that the covers were 15.00 a piece... I dont know why a whole cushion and cover start at 10.00 but just a cover would be 15.00!! Im not spending 30 dollars to have 2 cushions cleaned, thats crazy!! So, I spent and hour of driving for nothing and to top it off I got no apology!!! read more
