I have spoken with 3 different agents and have gotten no where with anyone of them, they all seem to not understand what im trying to explain to them. My meter was changed on 9/6/2024 because it was not able to read EXACT USEAGE. I have been OVER CHARGE for the last 6+ months, I want someone with knowledge to research my bills for the past year especially the past 6 months, bills have been over $400.00 a month, this has never happened in the past. I would like to be compensated for the overcharges either in credit to my account or by check. Otherwise, I would like to be released from my contract (FEES WAIVED) and will take my business else where. I've been a customer for 8 years and I don't appreciate being treated like this, It's not my problem that the agents cannot comprehend english its furstrating to have to explain over and over. 4 Change Energy is a joke. My bill was paid in full and I get a email Saturday saying I was canceling my service. I never requested my service to be canceled nor was a email sent to them saying I was canceling service. Then Sunday the gentleman across the street from house has been trying to get his electric turned on and 4Change Energy keeps telling him he has electricity already and he doesn't. 4Change Energy tells my neighbor that my address is his address and they are going off my address and electric hook up as his. It's not the same house as mine. Two different addresses and across the street from my house. Then Monday they turn my electricity off and tell me I owe over $400 for canceling my contract. Which I didn't. I signed another contract. I never sent a request in to cancel. With the heat being way over 100 degrees in Texas. I don't see how they would take my money and turn my electricity off and then tell me it won't be turned on till midnight even though I'm current on my bill and they are using this foney canceling email they said they received. I'm sure my neighbor across the street still don't have electricity being 4Change Energy don't seem to believe more then one house can be on residential street. I guess I might be told from a resident in the town I live in three streets over from me that 4Change Energy is saying that my address is the same as there's and they can't get electric turned. This is my 2nd year with them and I must say its the best customer experience Ive ever had. Even when a resolution cannot be reached they go out of the way to make us happy. The rates are really affordable and they give you tips to save you money by emails. Also their online website is cutting edge with a useful usage portal. The company also does good will for our neighborhoods and the staff is always so friendly. You really don't expect this from a electricity company but they have really proved to me from time to time that they have a different mission to be a better a company. I have worked for many electricity companies during my time and I can't tell you how many gimmicks there are and how TXU for example overcharges their customers because they are the most loyal ones. Electricity is all the same because they all run through the same transmission lines that Oncor manages and those would be your TDU charges. I have now recently renewed my contract for 2 additional years based on the fact that it is stated I will retain my current rate until 2023 instead of 2021. Thus far i am totally pleased with 4 change energy. i love the weekly reports of usage; but most of all, I am totally grateful and so shockingly happy with the bills I have received for my usage. As a pensioner, I am delighted that the savings I am enjoying has allowed me to purchase more groceries at one time, and have funds available to be used also for home and my grandchildren. I have saved each month $60 or more, and it has been a true blessing. Love the weekly usage updates and find their rates to be very competitive, if you understand the plan. Use 1000 kWh and it's probably the cheapest plan out there, use 999 kWh and it gets more expensive. You have to know the rules and how to play the game. Once you do it's great! I initially signed up with 4ChangeEnergy when I lived in Nacogdoches, TX, when my prior, big name electric company raised their rates, as they did almost annually. According to the powertochoose.com, 4Change had the lowest rates, so I signed up for a year. At the end of that time, I compared my rates again and 4Change still had the lowest rate, so I renewed. When I knew I would be moving to Tyler, I called 4Change to make sure they would service my new home, so I again signed up with them. I have had no problems with service and am quite satisfied with their rates. The only minor snag was when I mailed a check for payment. Their accounts receivable department sometimes takes a long time to post checks, but using online payment solved that glitch. I have been with 4Change Energy for a while. The bills and website are very user friendly. The best part is the customer service. They do go the extra mile if needed. They have always been so patient in helping me understand billing or a payment arrangement. Best prices around - if you know how to enter a formula into excel, read the EFL, and have your last 12 months of usage, you'll figure out your future bills pretty easily. Only downside, I started with 7.3/kwH (including all fees) and now I'm up to 11-13c/kwH (2nd renewal). Probably bc I renew every June, I assume that is when the rates are high. Zero billing issues, they had a billing issue this last month causing you to pay two months at once, they did have a note on the invoices stating if it's a financial burden, to contact them.
