Those utility providers are confusing, ya'll (practicing my Texas word choices)! I can't imagine having done this without her. When I moved to the DFW area, I had no idea that things like apartment locators existed. Now after being here for almost two years, I am only just finding out that there are even more awesome relocation services that exist..like BeeConnected Now. I first heard about them on Google and checked out their webpage. Basically, they help you set up your utilities and other services (internet/phone/cable, security, etc.) all for free! Yup, free. Almost too good to be true..except it is true. When I first moved here, I signed up with Ambit Energy at the recommendation of my apartment complex. Then I signed up for internet with Frontier, which took nearly one month to get set-up. On a monthly basis, I am paying anywhere from $55-65 for electricity and then $60 for internet 150/150. Since I am moving to a new apartment in Dallas, I needed to set up my utilities over there. However, I decided that maybe I should give BeeConnected Now a try and see what they could do for me. Filling out the online form was fast and I was quickly contacted by a client coordinator. Micah has been super helpful in setting up my new accounts and answering all of my questions. I was impressed with his knowledge of certain state laws such as how electrical contracts only apply to current addresses. Had I not known this, I probably would have been charged an early termination fee by Ambit who signed me for a two year contract. About two weeks before my move, Micah reached out with the best available options for electricity and internet. He explained the rates and how much I would be saving. He was able to set me up with Frontier Utilities (average savings of $25/month) and AT&T internet which is $50/month for 300/300 internet! He then set up my accounts and had my internet installation date scheduled for my exact move date. I honestly wish I found BeeConnected Now sooner. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to save their money and time! The best part is they give back to local non-profits and charities so you can feel good in supporting their business.
