    -Referral Partner Review: About 6 months ago, I had a Utility Bellhop Rep come into my Real Estate agency trying to earn our referral partnership business. We were previously with another Utility connection company that (we thought) were taking great care of our new homebuyers & renters. However, upon following up with several past clients, we found that a switch to a new partner would be in our best interest, so we made the switch approx 5 1/2 months ago to Utility Bellhop & it was the best decision we have made. Their Referral Partner Portal is amazing & very transparent.. We can track all of our referrals, see where they are at in the utility setup process, see which services/utilities they got connected, and track all of our referral commission payments, as well. On the 15th of each month I receive an automated email with which referrals are being paid for that month and then the same day they send our Direct Deposit payment for that month, along with a digital payment stub, as well. The reason I waited almost 6 months to write this was to see how smooth everything went & most importantly, to see what our client response was to their service - and we have honestly had nothing but amazing reviews from every one of our clients.. even in one situation where things didn't go exactly as planned, our client gave them a glowing review because at the end of the day they made it right and went above and beyond to make our homebuyer happy. I HIGHLY recommend partnering with these guys if you're a realtor or if you're in the mortgage industry in any capacity! Top notch company that we Highly Recommend! -KW Tri-States

I live in a modest 2-bedroom apartment and my utility bills average around $250/month, which is significantly higher than my friends and family who live in similar or even larger spaces. On top of that, Champion made a huge mistake by submitting a disconnect request on the wrong meter. This left me without power for 24 hours while the other 400+ units in my building still had electricity. They tried to brush it off as a "power outage," but Encore had to come out and replace my meter to fix the issue. Champion Energy did absolutely nothing to correct their error or make it right. Between the outrageously high bills and the complete lack of accountability, I would strongly caution anyone against signing up with Champion Energy Services.

When I spoke with them, I asked if there was anything else I needed to pay or take care of before ending my services. My credit means everything to me. The man on the phone explained to me, everything was paid in full and I was assured I was fully paid with no more charges due. The son of a bitch company added charges after I discontinued from their shady services. I received a call approximately 4 months later and the man at that time, told me I owed 400.00 that did not include extra charges for late payments at the time of my termination of services. I was furious, i had only been 3 days late on 1 payment in the entire 2 years i was with them. The thief on the phone told me they would have to send me to collection if I didn't pay. So when I paid the full amount including extra fees and charges, I found out they had reported me to the 3 Major credit card companies and txu had also sent my account to collections. 1 year after this happened, my soon to be wife and I, moved from her house into a house we had purchased together. Guess who who provider was? Now, guess what they told her and then did to her after??? Almost the EXACT thing they had done to me a year before. She was also reported to the credit bureau, and she was charged 300.00 with extra disconnection fees after she was told them same thing. I made her call multiple times to make sure everything had been paid, and like me, she was contacted months later with almost 500.00 in late fees and disconnection charges. The customer "service" rip off artists there, if you can reach one, are no help and you can't understand What in the Blue %#%# they're saying!!!! Its a complete nightmare and I advice you to find and explore different options before giving your soul and butthole to these people, because in the end, they'll come for that butthole baby. ..

I live in Texas and and I'm one person not consuming much. Now to 2026, I do auto pay. They didn't receive my payment for Dec 2025 and sent a disconnect notice for January 7, 2026 and a bill for $188 . WTH? blamed it on the bank per the not very helpful, nor knowledgeable & condescending ( for 4 seconds) customer lip service representative. After a trip to the bank headquarters today, they only have 1 card on file for me. IM CALLING THE 4 CHANGE HOTLINE AND I WILL PAY TO JUMP THAT SHIP!!! SHIP. OH YEAH OUR ELECTRICITY HAS BEEN CUT OFF FOR AS LONG AS 3 TO 5 HOURS AT A TIME. NEW ELECTRIC POLES BEING INSTALLED BY ONCORE. THEY NOTIFY OF TIME OF POSDIBLE RESTORATION BUT NO WARNING OF WHEN THEY TURN IT OFF. THAT WOULD BE More helpful when you're not in the big middle of an electrical needification.

When I received a final bill from 4Change Energy, I disputed the charges because I no longer lived at the property. After their investigation, I was told that because I never specifically called to disconnect service, my account automatically continued on a month-to-month basis and I remained responsible for electricity charges through May 21, when another customer allegedly took over the account. What concerns me is that 4Change could not clearly explain why I was being billed for power at a residence I no longer occupied for an entire month, despite a new tenant apparently being scheduled to move in. They also provided inconsistent explanations regarding the final charges on the account and were unable to give me confidence that the billing was accurate. If you move, do not assume your service will end when your lease ends or when your contract term expires. Make sure you explicitly request a disconnect and obtain written confirmation. I learned that lesson the expensive way. Based on my experience, I would not choose 4Change Energy again.
