I am tardy about leaving this review, but Reuben is the best. I have a merge footprint house with lots of brick and old lath and plaster or wood walls. It was hard to get wireless reception to all locations. We hired Reuben to spec out a system and make it work. The Orbi system he got, with its satellites covers 8,000 sq ft and not only covers all area of the house but also by our pool and in my garage and tack room. Not only was he originally very responsive but when I had a question the next day he returned without compensation with an hour to clear up my issue. I came to 4PCTechs for a myriad of problems on my computer. It was running extremely slow, and had some cosmetic issues from when I dropped it some time ago. I was getting by with these issues for a while, but I was procrastinating getting the repairs I needed. I finally had to bite the bullet, because the power jack broke and would no longer charge. I did my research into looking for a new quote after a well-known tech repair service wanted me to pay a pricey shipping cost just to send it to a facility for a diagnosis. I found 4PcTechs by happenstance on Yelp, because it was the only listing I found with a "Request a Quote" option. I had no idea that Yelp even had a messaging platform, and I was very impressed with how quickly Ruben responded back to me. (It was within the hour.) Overall, I had my powerjack, my broken hinge, and my harddrive replaced with all my data transferred. Ruben was very understanding of my budget, and rather than pile on my expenses, he found different solutions to remedy the issues. For example, in order to fix my broken hinge, he looked into a new replacement for the laptop backing. The part alone would have cost me several hundred dollars. I feel like this would have been the end of the story at other places, but Ruben found a different mechanical solution that cost a fraction of that price. I got the sense that he wasn't just trying to take a quick buck off of me, and genuinely wanted to help. Ruben was very patient with all my questions, and was always prompt in his communication with me. Each time I stopped by, he gave me advice on how to better care for my computer. In the end, I ended up with a computer that works as good as new... and because I now have 250 more GB than my "old" computer, it's an even better laptop than I had before. So weird, I had written a review for Ruben at 4PcTechs but it is no longer showing up. I had a new computer that was acting up and I was unable to use it. In a panic, I called around and the was told it will take a week or two, bring it in. Ruben said it sounds like it might be your drivers, and we have a couple of options. My motherboard short-circuited and fried my hard drive that had very important work documents on it. The place I went to repair the board said the Hard drive was completely shot and they would not be able to get the data back. I went to Fry's and they recommended that I visit DriveSavers, who ended up quoting me over a thousand bucks to just try. After doing some research, I found Ruben at 4PCtechs and he offered his assistance with my hard drive. I left the drive with him, and he periodically texted me updates on what the status was of my data. Within about 24 hours, he had recovered all my data at a fraction of the cost of what DriveSavers had wanted just to look at it! Hard drive recovery was succesfull! I went to Ruben with 2 external hard drives for my Mac that were no longer working. One wouldn't start at all and the other powered up and never showed up on the desktop. I stopped by his place to drop them off and he explained to me the possible problems and solutions (with costs.) I had computer issues over the weekend, my computer wouldn't boot up (granted it's ancient in the world of tech). So I decided to get it diagnosed by a professional so i can figure out if it's better to save it or get a new computer. Amazing guys, took my laptop that had a dead battery in Nov 2016. Ruben was helpful in diagnosing the problem on the spot and give me a free evaluation on what to do next. Went to this place two years ago when it was called salco. Paid to have windows operating system updated on my PC laptop. After a week, received prompt that operating system was counterfeit. Called them and they apologized and asked for me to bring laptop in and they would take care of it. After two months, received prompt again that operating system was counterfeit. Would not help me since I was past the guarantee timeframe. Cut to today. Shop has different name. I walked in thinking it was different store. I needed upgrade to OS on my MacBook Pro. Same proprietor, different tech. Spoke with the tech about what I was looking to do. Without hesitation or looking at my computer, tech told me '$200 to upgrade ur os. $400 if u take it to Apple'. I couldn't believe my ears. I asked to confirm the price and the tech looked at me and said '$200'. I told him that I was quoted a price that was $150 less at three other repair shops, to which he replied 'that's too little'. Please watch yourself with this shop. There are many other places around that will take much better care of you. Not very honest. read more

Ruben is amazing and brilliant! My laptop hard drive crashed (while I was trying to get my backup to work), and I was heartbroken, certain I'd lost decades of work and files. I brought the laptop to Ruben, and he was able to save/restore my data, even though he had to do it one file at a time, and repeatedly restart each transfer. I needed two get two laptops fixed. I was unaware of how bad the situation was. One of the laptops needed an entirely new hard drive, it needed a virus clean up, the keyboard fixed etc. The other laptop needed a new charger, anti-virus protection, and the account to be fixed. This is my go to tech shop! I've been there multiple times, all with different issues. And the experiences are as follows: The first time I went in was for my roommate who's computer was not turning on. They took the machine and did a diagnosis free of charge. I don't remember the exact parts or issue but it was something along the lines of where part of the motherboard was melted and they had to replace it or refloor it? Sorry for the lack of knowledge. Anyway, they had their guarantee that if the repair did not work, there would be no charge. This was something that I found very professional. My roommate ended up selling her laptop to them, and they even offered to pull all of her data for free! The second time that I went, was for yet another roommate that had an older computer. Her initial goal was to just pull the data off since the computer was not functional. However, they provided the price to get it fixed and since it was so competitive, we decided to get it fixed! Yet another positive experience. The third and final time that I have been there was very helpful. My girlfriend's computer was having intermittent sound as well as the trackpad not responding some of the time. They took the computer for a couple of days so they could check it and run some tests. They played videos throughout the day as well as checked the trackpad. They could not replicate the issue so they took the entire computer apart to check all the connections. And all this was for free! Anyway, they could not find the issue and put the computer back together and gave it back to me without requesting any payment. They are very professional and experienced. My laptop didn't power up so I sent out several requests for quote through Yelp. Ruben was the first one to respond and he asked to bring the laptop over to his home office. This was, on a Sunday before the Christmas holiday. After diagnosing the problem, Ruben suggested to replace the MB and I agreed to replace it rather than purchase a new laptop.
