We came here on Monday morning and I could tell right off it's a small town diner where all the locals go. Breakfast was what we came for and what we got! It was delicious and tasted just like I made it myself I always say that every restaurant has its good and bad days, this was a good one for us. I will return to see what's for dinner. Carry on!

4th Street cafe, great breakfast place.

This is a great out of the way breakfast place. Friendly staff family run, very very inexpensive good food. At night they open up the place as a gameboard place for kids to come to and hang out and stay out of trouble. Could use new chairs, but at these prices I would sit on a crate.

Runny omelette. Cold. Gris. Nasty. Waste of money.

    S. L. O. W. I came in at 7:25 AM with two colleagues. It took 45 minutes to get: Cheese Omelette with hash browns 4 eggs over medium with bacon and sausage Two eggs over medium with ham and hash browns The omelette was runny. The potatoes were cold. Eggs were cold. Ham was good (hence the one star) The service was atrocious. When I checked on the extended delay, the kind server said they cook food one table at a time. Yet, locals who came in after us got their food before us. There is a round table where local men gather to talk. They were surprisingly rude. (We were in town for business and were dressed in suits.) They scoffed, "you ought to give up your PHD and get to work" "Somebody must be carry guns" "You must be FBI" and the ugliest was "travel safely once you get to the city limits." We acknowledged the men when we entered. We didn't speak otherwise, yet, they were unkind without provocation. Skip this place at all costs. The other four star reviews can in no way reflect the restaurant I visited. I will NEVER darken the door of this horrible place. You should just go to the nearby McDonalds.

Awesome place! Great service and very vegetarian friendly! If I lived in keokuk id definitely go here regularly.

Great local small diner vibe. Quick service, good food, and kind workers. Highly recommend the loaded omelet!

Nothing fancy but the breakfast special was good. Plenty of locals. Waitress really hustled around.

Great food and menu. Breakfast for lunch and original lunch menu. This should be on your list of places to try when in Keokuk.

Anytime there's a cute cafe serving up tasty breakfast foods, you can count me in! From the great…read moreservice to dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, the experience here was great. We unknowingly arrived 30 minutes before close, but the staff was super nice and welcomed us in with no rush. It was still pretty full inside and made for a nice, chatty place to go with family or friends. The menu definitely had something for everyone- all of the options looked great, so it was really hard to choose what to order! We started with coffee before ordering the garden frittata and the biscuits and gravy. The coffee was actually very good- they had a seasonal hazelnut flavor that I really enjoyed. I was expecting the frittata to be fluffy like a quiche, but it was more like a circular shaped veggie scramble. It was pretty standard, but definitely hit the spot. The sourdough bread served alongside was outstanding, however. It tasted super fresh and very homemade. The biscuits and gravy were very flavorful and not too greasy. Given the portions and quality, the price is very reasonable. Would definitely return and recommend making a visit!

Perfect poached eggs! Veggie hash could use a little more variety, maybe Brussels sprouts. Breads…read moreare delicious- you can't go wrong whichever you choose. Wasn't a fan of the sausage patties- a little under processed. Biscuits could use a new recipe. Be sure to get a box of macarons to go- special!
