    Cheap, store-bought vs Hawkeye.

This place is hit or miss, depending on what you order. I ordered the Broiled Chicken Breast Salad. I expected a whole, fresh, perfectly broiled breast. Instead it was chunks of leftover chicken that were over re-heated... hard and dry. The light pink tomatoes were tasteless and laughable. I brought most of the salad home, to put fresher ingredients on it. Pictured is my store-bought tomato compared to all the light pink ones that were on my salad. However, their Bourbon Chicken on Rice, Steaks and Tenderloins are delicious. Like I said, it depends on what you order. It's not a cheap place to eat and for that reason, they need to get a higher quality produce vendor.

Buffalo chicken sandwich fries and Mac

One of the few non-chain places to go in Keokuk was this place, next to Walmart. The service was fine, and it seemed to have a decent menu, as there were plenty of items the Hawkeye had to offer. I settled on the buffalo chicken sandwich which came with fries. I also had an extra side of mac and cheese, which I thought was runny. But nothing's perfect I guess. The chicken was smothered in sauce very well. Would go back to try other items.

No one was covering the front when we came in, probably waited for about 5-10 minutes before someone came by and took us to a table. The waitress was very nice and polite. I ordered the bourbon chicken that came with rice (was expecting white or a pilaf but it came with wild rice which isn't a favorite). The chicken was a little hard to cut. The broccoli that came with it had some bad spots on it as well. The sauce on the chicken was tasty and the breadstick and salad were pretty good. They even brought the ranch out in a squirt bottle so I didn't have to ask for more.

Food was good. Service was amazing! Good sized portions for the price. Our kids loved it, and so did we. I recommend getting a reservation.

What a neat lttle family owned place in the middle of nowhere. I really enjoyed having dinner here with a colleague of mine I was with for some training in this remote part of the Midwest in the tri-border area. Service was great, and the food excellent for the type of family owned meat and potato place it is. My bud had the sirloin and he described as the best steak he has ever had. I had the portk chops and it was awesome. If I ever go back to that part of the country, I will eat here again.

You never hired me. I hate this restaurant. It's always too expensive. The food is OK. I guess the bar is just me.

Food is good, the best Ruben I could find within 100 miles only problem. The floors are a little slick if you're using a cane or crutches.

Parking seems to be no issue since we parked in the front before prime time dinner. And it seems like there is a big lot in the park and even a garage nearby. Inside, the location was a little dark. The menu is very big with a lot of things that will please anyone. My only small issue is that there is no description of the food. Luckily, our waitress was happy to explain things but we didn't want to waste her time. For example...there are two duck salads so what is the difference? What are Hooter fries? The owner also posted a lot of pictures on Yelp of the food, but there is no description. I was able to figure out what the Hot Roast sandwich looked like because the photo makes it look amazing. The food came out fairly quick. I got the Meatloaf Horseshoe. Luckily, I am familiar with what a horseshoe is. The food was amazing. The Pepsi was cold and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I think I would return to this location

The service was mediocre, we were ignored mist of the time we were there and they weren't busy. The bathroom was like a bad gas station. Toilet paper would not roll out. BB. KCMO. Huge inside dining, bar, even a large room for events.... But the piece de resistance is the patio. We had gorgeous weather, a great view of the marina, bridge and right on the Mississippi River edge. We shared the Buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings. It was good, nothing special. We had one of the most enjoyable meals of our lives here! Service was friendly with a smile and many patient answers for our many questions. Turns out we love Turkish food. We had only had it once or twice before. LaBinnah Bistro is simply magnificent! We started with the Dolma appetizer. I have a soft spot for grape leaves, and these were outstanding! Definitely top three that I've ever had. My wife had the Istanbul shrimp and she loved them. Her boiled potatoes and asparagus were cooked exactly to her liking. I had the Saç Tava, which is Turkish stirfry beef with yellow peppers and tomatoes. I think there was some garlic in it. It was served with the best saffron rice I've ever tasted. We were completely spoiled with this Turkish home cooking. SO GOOD! We had a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of wine and the Godiva tall chocolate cake for dessert. It was moist and delicious but not overpoweringly sweet. Look at my photos of the interior of this place it's just charming and quaint. So lovely.
