I actually still remember coming to this playground several times when I was a kid, and we would…read morealways go to Banana Split at some point during our time at the park. Earlier this year I had decided to bring my nephew to the playground here to play for a little while before celebrating the reopening of Banana Split for the season. Clearly the place has changed since I was a kid, with the playground being fairly new, but it stil-- in many ways--remains the same; it's small, very much a neighborhood type of park, not a city-wide mecca like Phillips Park, and very basic, with only a small playground, a few courts for basketball and tennis, and a nice expanse of open green lawn for running around or sitting in the sun. Again, it's not really like Phillips Park, which attracts people from all around Aurora and has a large property with many features, and is even smaller than the little play areas around Waubonsie Lake; and unlike Waubonsie Lake, there isn't a path for running, jogging, walking, or riding. However, it is perfect for someone who is near to it and is looking for a small, safe area for a little one to play in. I've been here four or five times this year since the spring with my nephew(s), and it's actually become one of my favorite little spots to take my nephew, fulfilling EXACTLY what I'm looking for. A small park with a small playground where my nephew has plenty of space to play and I only have a small area that I need to monitor. Parking is pretty easy, if not a little confusing at first; if you're coming off of Sheffer Road then turn left onto Sheridan and you'll find the little access road to the parking; if you're coming from Church Street then merge onto Sheridan, and if you're coming from Forest Street then it'll be right in front of you when you get to Sheridan. I can also say that the property is well maintained and very out-in-the-open so it feels very open and safe. I also have to say that having Banana Split right across the street is a pretty great selling point and makes the park more attractive. So if you're close by and need a great place for your little ones to run around and play, give this place a try, you may be pleasantly surprised by how much you like it; and if you don't enjoy your experience, you'll at least be able to salvage what's left of your excursion with a nice cold treat from across the street.

What am fun little place. Man has it changed since I was a kid. I remember it only being the bumper…read morecars and batting cages really. Now, they have bumper cars, batting cage, mini golf, the bungie jumping thing, and mini-golf. Brought my daughter here the other day for a day of mom and me time. We rode the bumper cars, played a round of golf and let her do the bungie jumping. She had a blast and we only spent around $30 for the both of us. They offer bundles for the activities if you plan on doing more than one. It's a better deal. Saves you a few dollars each person. The bumper cars were a little shaky, but whatever we had fun none the less. The staff isn't very interactive, butn you don't really need them to be. The cashier is very nice, not much of a conversationalist, but whatever. We can't all be outgoing. Anyway, all-in-all we had fun. We will def be back

We apologized and took her out no problem. He still stays there and keeps egging it on, he starts point at the rules all aggressive, we still again agreed we didn't read them and apologized. HE THEN states "I don't know if you need to read them in Spanish" like WHAT THE FUCK!!? So because of the color of our skin you make that comment yet we have been speaking to you fluently in English, my husband and I have no accents and we barely ever speak Spanish. So we were BLOWN AWAY. Moral of the story this piece of shit is RACIST. And yall shouldn't spend a PENNY there!!

Fun spot to burn off some energy…read more Randomly have stopped by a few times midweek...when it is far less crowded and grabbed a Groupon to make it more affordable and for that price it's not bad at all. Sure certain areas are closed at certain times but while we are usually there they eventually open them up. Not had any issues. A lot of the equipment you can tell has been used pretty good, but just like with anything still should watch your littles at all times. I would try to avoid weekends if possible. Lots of parking. They have dot ice cream that isn't dippin but still good...so bonus!

This place is awesome, but it's fallen into disrepair. My kids had a great time and we spent close…read moreto 4 hours here, but I have some real issues. The good: - Once your kids get the hang of the self-latch system, they'll be able to climb safely without close supervision. - There are lots and lots of climbing walls and some have unique features. It's very entertaining for climbers over 48". - They have a drinking fountain. - They have hand sanitizer dispensers. The bad: - Many areas were shut down. We couldn't do the ninja course because "something is leaking from the ceiling" in one of the areas. Some features on the climbing walls (like the wheel you turn to bring a trapeze thing closer to a ledge) are broken. - They are severely understaffed. When we visited on Monday, Aug. 11, the ropes course was only open for a few minutes, as was the wall-hang slide. Because those areas require employees and there weren't enough people to work them, they were closed off for the bulk of our visit. - It's a bit expensive. I feel like I'd pay the $30 per kid if they had access to everything, but between the broken attraction and the areas shut down because of staffing issues, the price felt steep. - There's not a lot of seating available if you're a parent who just wants to watch. There are a few benches, but you can't see large sections of Funtopia when you're sitting there. I was hoping to do some work on my laptop, but there were no tables near the benches. - If you leave, you cannot re-enter once you leave the building, so hunger may become an issue as outside food is not allowed. I'd love to come back here with my kids, but I hope they have enough staff to keep all the attractions running and I hope they fix the "something leaking" on the ninja course. I got the sense that this was a place run by teenagers and the owners may be absent or uninvolved.
