    This is the food stall

We visited Round1 Bowling & Amusement and stopped by the food stall located beside the counter. When we went to buy a water bottle, the staff member named TONY told us they were out of bottled water. I then politely asked if he could give us a small plastic ice-cream cup so we could drink tap water, but he refused. Left with no choice, I had to purchase a cup for $4, and it was charged as a Coke, just to drink water. Mr. TONY, if you happen to see this review, there is a word called courtesy. If you're unfamiliar with its meaning, I suggest learning it first.

Round1 Aurora is a beautiful arcade located in the Fox Valley Mall. The arcade is full of competitive and updated games that is designed for all ages. Upon walking in the first thing that threw me for a loop was the prices. You only get 70 points for $15 and 150 points for $25. Even though this is a family establishment, it seems a bit pricey. Most of the games require 9-12 points to play, so it doesn't seem worth it. The cashiers at the front provided great service and knew the product very well. Once cashier tried to upsell me and I was thankful that she did her job, even though I declined. We didn't try the food, as it simply didn't look appetizing. While playing with my children, a lot of the games were taking their points or not working at all. My family and I spent a total of $60 in the place and decided to leave. The level of frustration didn't seem worth it. This location is worth a visit if you are looking to waste some time, but not worth a trip on its own.

The kids and I always have a good time when we are. Though it is a bit pricey but we love the claw machine options here! This is located at a mall so parking is easy. The workers are helpful here when we needed assistance. Definitely recommend for a good time! The ambiance is fun for kids and family. Even for date nights!

If you're looking for fun and games, look no further! Round1 has a nice assortment of games and covers two floors of Fox Valley Mall. On the first floor, you'll find bowling, some arcade games, pinball machines, ping pong, and billiards. There's a bar and you can order food, drinks, and ice cream! Tables are scattered throughout. On the second floor, it's all games and the prize center. You'll use a game card like other places that you can reload money on and "tickets" will live. There's dancing games, claw machines, coin games, and more. Service is friendly here, if you need it. Just ask an attendant, and most will help with any issues you may experience.

ALL THESE BAD REVIEWS ARE JUST KARENS This is by far the best arcade I have ever been to. The prizes are the cutest most exciting stuff to ever win. It's not like your regular arcade that you just come out with some candy bars like chuck n cheese or even dave n busters. The machines aren't rigged like most places or even like the other location in Riverside. You actually play based off skill. The staff there is amazing and treats you with so much love and respect as if you were family. Especially Felicia! She is the sweetest person i've ever met and always puts a smile on my face. I recommend coming here for sure! You won't regret it (:

Very limited options on their menu and drinks.

I wanted to love this place. But I do have to say, the games and selection of games i would give the 5 stars. But the place is either poorly managed or there is a lack of structure. It's two floors, top floor are the games. They have classics like pac-man and space invaders to more of the classics when I grew up which are Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs Capcom,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles etc. They have newer games as well. One side is more of the amusement park side which is the basketball hoops, ski balls, etc. They have some games specifically for tickets and tokens. The rest are the games which is about half if not over half of the top floor. Bottom floor is some gaming, bowling, darts, bar & restaurant. The restaurant was horrid. I went for a simple drink since the temperature was a bit hotter than I'd like. First of all, they closed their restaurant early that day, even though their sign in their counter clearly stated a later time. Why not move it right lol. But minor problems, they just started piling up. Ultimately they told me I could order drinks so that's all I was looking for. They gave me a cup and could fill up at the pop machine. I get there and my first 3 options were out. So it was annoying but then there was no ice. So, I go up to the counter and tell them. They said they would be out to fill it up. 15 mins later, no one behind the counter knows anything. So, i simply now just ask for ice and even that becomes difficult to do and have to wait about another 15 mins. Not sure why but while I stood there, I saw what it looked like behind the counter. It was a complete mess, it just reminded me how happy I was not to be ordering anything else from there. You buy these cards which give you the access to play games but understanding what cards work with what and for how much is bonkers. It was so confusing but overall I'd say, expect to pay $30-50 per person for around a 2-3 hour timeframe. That would be my best guess based on our experience.

Since it's a small walk-up, it's not physically demanding. There are many places to hide and take cover. The equipment was great. I thought it was awesome that there's a display on the gun that shows stats on how much life you have, how much ammo is left, who shot you, who you show and then at the end of each mission, it shows how many terminations and hits you made and how many ammo you used. The missions are fun and take about 10 minutes each. The ability to re-spawn and the number of ammo you get depends on the mission. A lot of them are unlimited re-spawn and ammo. You have to sign a waiver before you can play. There are free arcade games in the lobby you can play while you wait to go into the arena. They also have a locker area where you can store your valuables while you are in play. You have the option of playing by the hour or by the mission: $30/hour or $15 for 3 missions. There's a Groupon deal that's available which offers 1.5 hours (90 minutes) for about $20/person. This was what we did and it was a great deal. You should call for a reservation ahead of time. We really didn't know what we were expecting when we got there. No one else was there, but these 3 girls that were working. We decided to do an hour of play so that we were able to play all the games. We knew it would be 1 on 1, so it wouldn't as much fun with a big group, but still fun. When we walked into the arena, I was wowed. It was so cool. It was like walking onto a movie set! It takes place in part of the haunted house, so it's spooky, dark, flashing lights, props that scare the crap out of you, sporadically thrown about. All while our own Pandora Radio station was blasting in every room. The games were fun, each one lasting around 10 minutes with different objectives. The coolest thing about this was 2 of the girls working joined us so that "it would be more fun for [us]" which was awesome. They played with us for the whole hour and we all had a blast. You can have up to 16 people playing, but honestly I think that's too many and you'll always be on top of each other. Don't have a group larger than 8 and you'll be golden!
