Round1 Aurora is a beautiful arcade located in the Fox Valley Mall. The arcade is full of competitive and updated games that is designed for all ages. Upon walking in the first thing that threw me for a loop was the prices. You only get 70 points for $15 and 150 points for $25. Even though this is a family establishment, it seems a bit pricey. Most of the games require 9-12 points to play, so it doesn't seem worth it. The cashiers at the front provided great service and knew the product very well. Once cashier tried to upsell me and I was thankful that she did her job, even though I declined. We didn't try the food, as it simply didn't look appetizing. While playing with my children, a lot of the games were taking their points or not working at all. My family and I spent a total of $60 in the place and decided to leave. The level of frustration didn't seem worth it. This location is worth a visit if you are looking to waste some time, but not worth a trip on its own.

The kids and I always have a good time when we are. Though it is a bit pricey but we love the claw machine options here! This is located at a mall so parking is easy. The workers are helpful here when we needed assistance. Definitely recommend for a good time! The ambiance is fun for kids and family. Even for date nights!

If you're looking for fun and games, look no further! Round1 has a nice assortment of games and covers two floors of Fox Valley Mall. On the first floor, you'll find bowling, some arcade games, pinball machines, ping pong, and billiards. There's a bar and you can order food, drinks, and ice cream! Tables are scattered throughout. On the second floor, it's all games and the prize center. You'll use a game card like other places that you can reload money on and "tickets" will live. There's dancing games, claw machines, coin games, and more. Service is friendly here, if you need it. Just ask an attendant, and most will help with any issues you may experience.

ALL THESE BAD REVIEWS ARE JUST KARENS This is by far the best arcade I have ever been to. The prizes are the cutest most exciting stuff to ever win. It's not like your regular arcade that you just come out with some candy bars like chuck n cheese or even dave n busters. The machines aren't rigged like most places or even like the other location in Riverside. You actually play based off skill. The staff there is amazing and treats you with so much love and respect as if you were family. Especially Felicia! She is the sweetest person i've ever met and always puts a smile on my face. I recommend coming here for sure! You won't regret it (:

I thought this place was pretty fun. They have both arcade games and games where you can win tickets (like skee ball). They offer both ala cart game play and unlimited games. The unlimited game card excludes the games where you can win tickets. Cards cost $1 and you get extra credit the bigger the amount you load. 1 hour of unlimited games cost $10 Fri-Sun and $8 Mon-Thu. The games are in good condition and are fun to play. I wish they had a real air hockey table, though. One of them doesn't have enough air to really move the puck along and the pac man one is a bit nuts with all the tiny pucks that come pouring out shortly starting the game. The "tickets" you win are digital and go right on your card. The prizes are pretty good, including candy and stuffed animals for the lower value ones. There's a bowling alley and alcohol served at the lower level. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Very limited options on their menu and drinks.

I wanted to love this place. But I do have to say, the games and selection of games i would give the 5 stars. But the place is either poorly managed or there is a lack of structure. It's two floors, top floor are the games. They have classics like pac-man and space invaders to more of the classics when I grew up which are Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs Capcom,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles etc. They have newer games as well. One side is more of the amusement park side which is the basketball hoops, ski balls, etc. They have some games specifically for tickets and tokens. The rest are the games which is about half if not over half of the top floor. Bottom floor is some gaming, bowling, darts, bar & restaurant. The restaurant was horrid. I went for a simple drink since the temperature was a bit hotter than I'd like. First of all, they closed their restaurant early that day, even though their sign in their counter clearly stated a later time. Why not move it right lol. But minor problems, they just started piling up. Ultimately they told me I could order drinks so that's all I was looking for. They gave me a cup and could fill up at the pop machine. I get there and my first 3 options were out. So it was annoying but then there was no ice. So, I go up to the counter and tell them. They said they would be out to fill it up. 15 mins later, no one behind the counter knows anything. So, i simply now just ask for ice and even that becomes difficult to do and have to wait about another 15 mins. Not sure why but while I stood there, I saw what it looked like behind the counter. It was a complete mess, it just reminded me how happy I was not to be ordering anything else from there. You buy these cards which give you the access to play games but understanding what cards work with what and for how much is bonkers. It was so confusing but overall I'd say, expect to pay $30-50 per person for around a 2-3 hour timeframe. That would be my best guess based on our experience.

Husband won some plushies at the claw machines!

We ordered a handful of soju bottles and it was great! Also their service was awesome, they checked in on us occasionally and also brought a fountain of water. We also had a cake for my friend's birthday and they offered to refrigerate it. Not sure if they'll do that often but they were so awesome about it! Great vibes, bathroom accessible, room had great space, and the staff were accessible the whole time. 5/5!

LOST IN TRANSLATION…read more Karaoke would've been a lot more fun.... if we actually had some English songs to pick from. My wife's birthday request was to do some singing, and with the demise of Punch Bowl Social in Schaumburg (R.I.P), I needed a backup. Eventually I came across this place in Yorkshire Plaza, a strip mall that's right across the street from Fox Valley Mall in Aurora. We were the only customers at 6pm, but I thought nothing of it at the time, assuming the rowdiness would filter in later. Levee Karaoke & BBQ is much bigger on the inside with nine private karaoke rooms, a billiards table, and a bar. It's $48 per room per hour on Friday nights and weekends. Searching through their database of songs was challenging. In order to find a multi-word song, you had to type in its initials ("I Believe In A Thing Called Love" becomes "IBIATCL") which was very hit-or-miss. For instance, we saw one song by Linkin Park, but nothing else from them. We noticed a TON of Chinese songs (nearly 75% of the catalog) with very few American artists represented apart from Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Beyonce. Truthfully, we struggled to find any popular rock songs in English. Even mainstays like "Don't Stop Believing" were nowhere to be found. I wasn't impressed with the fried appetizer sampler ($15): a handful of fries, 4 onion rings, 3 mac 'n' cheese bites, 2 chicken wings and a sad pair of mozzarella sticks. Plus, the dipping sauces they gave us came in the smallest cups that are commercially available. It all looked like something a college roommate threw together in a rush. On the other hand, we enjoyed the BBQ skewer combo ($19). They gave us two each of cumin lamb, ribeye, pork, grilled cauliflower, and grilled brussel sprouts. We liked the dry seasoning on the veggies, and my wife loved the ribeye. The mini steamed buns (10 for $12) were fine, nothing too special but at least they were filling. The staff were very nice. Our server was responsive any time we pressed the in-room service button. A 12oz can of diet Coke was $2.50 (damn y'all!), which is steep considering a tall Sapporo draft was only $6. Yet another reason to drink beer, folks. At checkout, I briefly thought they comped us an hour of karaoke. Turns out, the "-$48" on our receipt was just the deposit being taken off the final bill; they did not in fact, give us anything for free. Expensive karaoke on top of a confusing Chinese-based system adds up to a tough, tough sell. * TL;DR * My wife and I had a decent amount of fun but nowhere near "$50 an hour" worth of fun. Regardless of where you are or what services you offer, that pricing is insane. Compare this to Punch Bowl Social ($40/hr), Lincoln Karaoke downtown ($30/hr), or Round One ($17/hr) which is quite literally across the street. Charging this much has to be how Levee stays in business, because it was a ghost town on a Friday night (where was everyone??) Had I'd known we'd spend half an hour sifting through the cumbersome catalog trying to find something familiar to Western audiences, I would have gone elsewhere instead. When we did karaoke in Osaka, Japan - over 6,000 miles away - their song selection was ten times better than here, in suburban Illinois. That's whack. All told, two hours with food and drinks ran me just shy of $200. I'm not spending that kind of money again pretending to "sing" Ariana Grande because my only other choices are songs in Mandarin.... which I do not speak. It's gonna be a 'no' from me, dawg.

Carrie always provides us great service and had good suggestions off the menu. This visit we started with the cheese curds, they were delicious! A special thank you to our food runner who delivered the food fresh and hot! Got some drinks and food from this Irish pub in Aurora. It seems like food is an afterthought but…read morethey still have a full menu. McBride's North is one of several locations so you can check out and compare these. Certainly seems like a place to come for a gathering. There's plenty of tables as well as TVs for watching games and whatever kinds of sports. Beers and other alcoholic beverages are why you come to an Irish pub of course. It's got a few deals going on. There's of course the Guinness on tap. Can't go wrong with it. Saturdays it's $6 a pint. As for the food, it's basic. It's $7 to get a few of the Pretzel Sticks. Could be the healthiest food here. These are topped with garlic butter and salt, and served with bistro sauce and nacho cheese, but I got mine without the butter and had mustard. Have to say it's a lot better than expected. It's got lots of specials that help save money for more to get drunk on. The food is okay while being pretty meaty, with bangers and mash types of things, but they also have pretzels.
