I hate leaving bad reviews on anyone but I bring business to this brand constantly without asking anything in return. I tried talking to these guys before posting this review. They didn't care, Roger that! If you need anything 511 get it online or at any of the stores that actually work with you. I needed a backpack warrantied out and the manager refused to do it. The funny thing is, I am the reason for 90% of the LV18 backpacks they sell. All my clients buy one from here in Miami and Tampa after attending any of the training courses I teach. A simple process I have gotten done multiple times at Orlando, Tampa and Sarasota without any issues. Good job, you guys lost me referring my clients to this store. read more

This shop is located in a small shopping plaza where several restaurants are located. There are many parking spots available, but I imagine during the work week it must be difficult to find parking, mainly because it's right next to a large office building. Once you walk in you could see that everything is kept very organized. They sell a selection of apparel for both men and women, but mainly for men. A few boots. Backpacks and weights for training. My BF went looking for work pants. We didn't like one of the men's customer service, he wasn't rude but we felt as if he seemed bothered that we would walk around and look through their selection of items. He came off very passive aggressive. We didn't purchase anything, only because we couldn't find the right size. We might be back but they need to work just a tad on their customer service. read more

I went in looking for comfortable work pants. I have always heard that 5.11 brand pants are amazing. As soon as you walk in you notice that everything is well kept and very organized. One of the gentlemen that work there asked if we needed any assistance, we told him no at the moment and he said " no I would rather you ask me and I will tell you if we have it or not". We weren't sure if to take that as an aggressive approach or that's his great "customer service ". It's is very difficult to find your average sizes, everything are for bigger and taller men. I understand it's mainly because those are the most popular sizes. Prices are a tad steep for almost all their products. At the end I didn't end up purchasing anything, I was told by the gentleman to check online. I don't know if I would come back, mainly because we felt as if we were bothering the two men who we working. read more

Well if you read my last review you know that the snob factor for the purveyors of poser tactical clothes was in full affect arguing with me as I was looking at something. My son digs the stuff so I thought I would spend over a hundred bucks on a shirt and belt for him. I just got an email from them that stated my phone didn't work so as a courtesy they were emailing me and I had 30 days to come by and pick up my custom order. Closing with a "have a wonderful day". Worse part the guy who sent is supposedly the GM. Who tells a customer their phone doesn't work and they only as a courtesy emailed them that an order is ready and to come in and spend my money. Baffles the mind. Prediction-this retail location will close and move to the mall. Generally I like 5.11 gear and was excited this store was open so I could kit my son out. But now I won't buy a thing here. --------update------- The manager emailed back and forth and they had the wrong number. It is an "industry standard template" they use and he still saw nothing wrong. The shirt I ordered is now discontinued and the belt is going into general stock. I was always a fan of the 5.11 brand, the store is very well kept and organized. Parking is ok, but traffic is out of control. I normally order online, but I decided to visit the store to see if they have new bags or weapon holsters. Big mistake, the personnel in this location is very rude, I was trying not to get in the middle of their not work-related conversation, but I had a question related to the pants and the volume that I was interested in purchasing, they were not able to assist and seemed bothered and disinterested. As a veteran, I'm very familiar with the brand, but due to this employee's attitude, I prefer to take my business somewhere else. I just completed a corporate purchase for a big group of employees and is going to a competitor, just because of these two individuals. read more

5.11 is an awesome tactical brand. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I was immediately greeted by the staff and assisted. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If they don't have what you need in stock, they can order it for you and I believe the gentlemen even mentioned custom measurement orders. read more

Apparently you have to come here alone. If by chance you show up with your family of three or more you cannot enter the store. I'll take my business elsewhere. Maybe I'm old fashioned, I like to keep my money intown vice sending it off but, 5.11 Miami is making me reevaluate this practice. Traffic is always a pain in Doral and parking to get to the store is an absolute nightmare but, as I started this post, I like to keep my money local. Like most new businesses in this town, they start well but over time, slip in their customer service. I placed an order going on 5+ weeks for 5 polo and 2 button down shirts as none of the styles were in stock. As it was explained to me, "Corporate" was moving to this new, shiny, larger warehouse so they could have more product available and ship it faster. There was a delay in getting product out because of this move. I understand logistics and moving so I agreed to wait for my order. Most of my order arrived a week after the 3 week date I was told it would arrive, I let it go as I was assured the 2 missing shirts were "on the way". I write this after calling the store again and was told they have received no special orders. I said I've gotten most of it and was waiting for two shirts. Again, I was told about the "issues" they are having getting product from "Corporate" but was assured "they were on the way". 5 July will be the 6th week from the original order date. 2 shirts could have been sent USPS ground and been here before now. So, after the Holiday, I'll go see if the order is in or cancel the remaining items for a refund. There are a number of online companies that will sell for the same price and if I add an item or two, I'll get free shipping to boot. I don't know what the issue is between this store and 5.11 HQ but I don't want to play in their sandbox any longer. read more

For someone in law enforcement this is the place to come to and if your not they also cater to civilians also. To me there nothing better than picking up something at a store than having to wait for it in the mail. 5.11 in doral has it all and much more. Amazing customers service wide selection of gear for on the job and off the job for you Leo's. And for civilians a wide selection of great clothing and outer wear including shoes and boots. Ive purchased a few items from this location. I tried to return or even exchange something that was too big on me a week later. I'd taken the tag off when I got in my truck and tried the sweatshirt on as I'd purchased it for in the moment but it was way too big. I kept the tag and threw the shirt back in the bag with it. Will definitely try everything on b4 I buy from now on as the manager would not let me exchange or return because the tag wasn't physically on anymore. Even tho i had it with Me and the plastic piece (tag itself) he said no. He said no retail location would ever return something when tag is removed. While I grasp this concept the man was extremely rude and I was very disappointed in this customer service approach. The shirt was 100% in exact condition purchased if I'd put the tag back on myself he'd never have known. I also showed him the 5.11 website that does not have this "policy" and he said they weren't really 5.11 so that policy didn't apply. Ummm- ok? As the only 5.11 store in Miami I would think you'd be a little more service oriented. read more

I actually had been looking around different places for my husbands work gear and out of the other places I had stopped this is my all time favorite. The team seemed to genuinely care about my needs.
