Went here for the first time with my husband, and I was very happily surprised at the whole ambience of the store. I love that they had those huge fish tanks where you could even look at the fish underwater under a cave. I was also surprised at the amount of notches gear but clothing that they sell and it's very focused on men so if you have a husband, this is a great place to shop for him!!! we also were able to get a nice duck toy for our dog! Also, they had amazing plushy's, and I was able to get one that looked exactly like my dog !! So many cool things ! And good prices on good brands. read more

The Hilton Vacation employees can be a bit pushy but other than that, it is a huge store with so much going on. The aquarium in the back is filled with a bunch of different kinds of fish. They have a large variety of outdoor gear, from fishing and hunting equipment to camping and boating supplies. They also have womens, mens and childrens clothes. It's a huge place- the fish are pretty cool. The Christmas discounts were 50% off and it was still expensive. For example the throws were still like $35 Some ammo was a decent price but the man at the counter was rude- like this: We come to the counter as a small group, we are looking to possibly purchase a firearm or even optics etc and say we are looking to purchase something and see what you have. Albert responds no we are not going to do show and tell. You can tell me what you want to look at but I'm not going to go through everything. I especially love their Islamorada location when I go to the Keys because you can feed the tarpon. I used to go to the Dania Beach store a lot when my daughter was younger and really into archery. The centerpiece of any Bass Pro Shop is a large waterfall with native fish swimming in a tank at it's base. I always like to browse their clothing especially if they are having a clearance sale. It is my dream to buy one of their kayaks one day. They had a clear one with my name on it. The guns and hunting gear hold the least interest for me. If I am lucky enough to see a deer in the wild the only thing I want to shoot it with is my camera. Other items they sell include hiking gear, grills, toys, snacks, camping gear, fishing gear, home goods, gifts, toys, and even boats and ATV's from their own line. We went to purchase fishing equipment for our very first trip. The only good experience, attitude and knowledge, was with Omar, a newly hired employee that knew his stuff. Supervisor had a poor attitude. "You can call the other stores to find the reel we are out of stock." WTH. We were directed to apply for the Bass Pro Shop credit card for 10% off Monday and it would be an instant response. We completed the application and it would take 7 to 10 days for the response. We talked to the Assistant Manager Peter who had nothing to comment on and no action taken. We were very surprised with his attitude. We wondered if the poor attitudes might stem to others in leadership roles. By the way, I visited the Bass Pro Shop at Dania to pick up the out of stock reel the following day. I've frequented this bass pro shop location several times and had a great experience every time. They have a nice selection of diving/watersports equipment here, and i was able to pick up things for my Key West trip like fins and a dive flag. On my most recent visit to this bass pro shops i got a cressi speargun which i did not expect them to carry. I visited the store for a UTV no one there to help. I asked for help no one came so i left. I went online and submitted an inquiry for one in which i received a call back and the guy proceeds to tell me that the UTV i was showing him doesn't come like that that they use pictures to attract customer intrest which i find absolutely misleading. I asked if i can schedule an appointment he said yes let me speak to an associate in which he just transffered me the guy answers "hello" i said yes did the gentleman not advise you the reason for my calling he said no what you are calling Bass Pro what do you want. If you value your time, honesty, and proper service - or if you're a Green Card holder - I strongly recommend you avoid the firearms department at Bass Pro Shop. My recent experience was a textbook case of poor training, outdated policies, staff dishonesty, and a total disregard for customers. First visit: I went to purchase a firearm, bringing my driver's license and concealed carry permit--both legally sufficient under federal law. I also had a digital copy of my Green Card on my phone, as every other gun shop has always accepted. However, the Bass Pro Shop gun counter employee insisted I physically present my Green Card. He refused to even look at the digital copy, claiming this was "company policy." He would not budge, forcing me to drive home and back, wasting over 2 hours of my time. After the fact: The store manager later admitted by phone that this was actually an old policy. The employee was wrong, and I should not have been required to present my Green Card physically. His only "remedy" was to say it would be addressed in training. No apology, no compensation for my wasted time, no accountability. It felt like the employee knew the current rules and simply didn't care, preferring to invent obstacles rather than help a customer. Frankly, this also borders on illegal behavior, since federal law does not require a Green Card to be physically shown if you already have your state ID and concealed permit. Second visit: Once my background check cleared, I returned to the shop to pick up my firearm. I found a line of people waiting to buy guns and do paperwork. Despite all my paperwork being completed, I was told I'd need to wait at least 30 minutes for a simple pickup. I asked, very politely, if a manager could help speed things up, since my transaction was ready. After a wait, a manager finally emerged, glanced at the line, and told me I would have to wait like everyone else - despite not being busy. I later learned they should have offered me the option to schedule a pickup appointment for situations like mine, but they never mentioned it. When I expressed my frustration and asked for a refund instead, the gun desk staff member agreed instantly, showing zero interest in resolving the issue or keeping my business. They then took more time to process my refund than it would have taken to just hand me my purchase. This "customer service" is the definition of rigid, bureaucratic, and indifferent. Aftermath: I was then shocked to learn, during the manager's follow-up call, that staff had also lied to him about the events. He told me the employee who issued my refund was "helping a customer" at the time, which simply wasn't true. The manager himself doubted my word, but hadn't even reviewed security video--showing little interest in getting to the truth. No sincere apology, no commercial gesture, just a repeated assurance that "we'll use this for training." That's a joke. Conclusion: Bass Pro Shop's gun counter operates on outdated, sometimes illegal policies, wastes your time, and then gaslights both you and their own management. If you're not a U.S. citizen, be ready for extra hurdles. If you are, good luck, because these employees invent rules, then lie about it, and treat customers like a nuisance. There are much better, more respectful FFLs with larger selections and honest staff. Save yourself time, stress, and disappointment - avoid this shop at all costs. read more

I love coming to this store. Not only is it huge and carries all your outdoor wants and needs but it looks amazing inside. It looks like a shipwreck, has some reefs, schools of fish everywhere and even Arnold diving suit. It's just complete nautical decor. And not to mention the big tank with huge fish inside. No matter how many times I've come I always see something new. Hubby needed some fishing gear like a new rod and some Huk SPF protective shirts. While he looks at that I always check the new Costas, beef jerky treats, hats, and womens section of all type of clothing and gear. I always wall away with something. My husband 75 and I 63 went to this store to buy 2 small guns. Kevin was at the front desk. We told him that we were interested in buying 2 guns, one gun for me and another one for our daughter in law. He told us that to buy a gun for another person was not legal. We did not know that. In our family We all have conceal weapons ID. We were confused so we decided to buy just one and come back next day with our daughter in law. Kevin told us that he will not sell us the gun because we were lying to him and that gun was not for me it was for our daughter. We were really upset to be treated that way. So we call the manager Sam he refused to sell us the gun too. Both toll us that we were lying The point here is that you can buy guns at many places but you can not expect to be respected , this 2 employees of this place just decided to believe that we were lying to them just in order to walk out of there with a gun. Worst Bass Pro Shops ever! Rude people at gun counter, taking on a grandiose and condescending attitude due to the run-up in ammo sales. Standing around talking amongst themselves while 8 customers were grouped in front of counter looking for assistance. No process, no logical customer flow, no interest in helping anyone...and rude / condescending when they speak to you, to boot. The only reason they get two stars is because they do have a wide assortment of outdoor merchandise and gear, and decent prices at times. But I will stick to the Dania location where it is definitely much busier, but people at the gun counter (and all throughout the store) are always helpful and seem glad to have you there. read more

Walk in to the gun counter after 20 minutes and no service. We tried to get sales personnel attention and were ignored. Finally one of the sales personnel came over and after insisting for attention he pointed out a URL code to sign in. Unfortunately there were about seven people standing in front of the sign blocking it. Even the government run DMV has the respect to let consumers know when they walk in that they need to take a number. Then asked for the manager, which I was told his name was Sam Adefna, if that's his name. The manager did not have the decency to show up. My son enjoys visiting this store for the aquarium, the cool looking ceiling with fish and coral hanging down, the boats, 4 wheelers and that big shark on the outside. I have never been inside a Bass Pro Shop ever. Not into hunting, fishing, or pretty much any outdoor activities...well I guess I like camping but besides that these types of stores are not something I normally go into. Yet, I think this store is awesome, First, this place is huge. Place sells boats, atvs, fishing equipment, clothing and tons of other things. Place is also beautiful. Loved the decor and the fact they have a large indoor aquarium...it's almost like it's trying to capture the majesty of the outdoors. The place even had an area in the front which taught kids to fish. Amazing place really. I came here in order to buy a father's day gift. I decided to buy him a new fishing pole. I don't know anything about fishing... only done it a few times when I was a kid but he is really into fishing. When I was walking around I was overwhelmed with the selection at this store and didn't know what to get. I almost bought a fresh water pole (my dad does salt water fishing) because I do not know any better. Thankfully a helpful sales associate stepped in and helped me make the right purchase. Been coming to this Bass Pro as long as I can remember. All the employees for the most part are real nice and helpful. Even had some close friends and relatives work here. I've bought coolers and even kayaks from here. Today was a total different experience than any other time I've gone. Stepped in before hitting the range and got belittled and ridiculed by a manager named (Raul Santos). Even though price adjustments are subjects to the managers discretion, he surely had some type of grudge against me. The second he got to the register he started circling around and mumbling to the other employees. Eventually he circled around that he couldn't meet the price adjustment with amazon "which they do". Went as far as telling me "either you take it or you don't" I can refuse selling it to you if I wanted. My jaw dropped and when I asked for his name he arrogantly produced a business card and pretty much said I'm not scared I know nothing is going to happen to me. Even the employees he worked for came up to me to provide sympathy and assure me what he was saying was false. Finally I decided to reach out to their corporate offices to let them know what happened and called several times but they didn't care either. Spoke to a receptionist who several times tried to have me reach someone named Melanie but they never answered or called back. I was very happy to have this Bass Pro shop near and I don't expect the world as a consumer but when things like this happen it discourages anyone from shopping at a storefront. Please be cautious with dealing with this supervisor or even getting your voice heard from a corporate level where you would think they would want to hear the customer out in regards to whats happening in their stores. This Bass Pro Shop is located at the Dolphin Mall. I came by this location with my husband and our little girl dog (Bass Pro Shop stores allow dogs in their stores) visited this store on a Tuesday in the afternoon around 2:30 pm. This store seems to be a little different from other locations that I have been to because this this location doesn't have a restaurant and also seems a little smaller than some of the other locations that I have been to. When you first come over to this store, you will notice immediately all of the numerous of boats (fishing boats, fishing kayaks, small and large motor boats) outside of the store. After coming in, you will notice all of the taxidermy and the large aquarium tank in the middle of the store. If you have never been to any Bass Pro Shop stores, it is an incredibly large sporting/ outdoorsman store, selling all necessary things that any sportsman or woman would need on their next outdoor adventure. Are you planning on going camping where you will be eating whatever you kill? Well you can buy a tent, sleeping bag, portable grill and stove and camping food in case you end up not being very successful with your hunting skills. Need to purchase a gun and bullets? There is a pretty large selection of rifles and hand guns that you can try your hand at (there is an actual shooting range here too. Don't forget to purchase a gun case and lock to make sure little hands to not get into your new weapon). Planning on bringing your hunting pooch? There are dog accessories that are available. Need some camouflage clothing and gear to better hide yourself from your potential prey? Bass Pro Shop has that too, including matching camouflage shoes to boot so that you really will be undetectable to your prey (and possible predator... can't assume you aren't also being hunted). Oh and Bass Pro Shop also sells hunting permits. Not a huntsmen (or huntswomen)? Perhaps fishing is more of your speed. Well there is plenty of many things that you would need (or may not have even thought of) for all that. Fishing pole, lure, fishing line, nets, etc... yep, Bass Pro Shop has all of that too. Even if you are not in the mood of channeling your inner Bear Grylls, this store is still pretty fun to come and browse. Tried to buy a boat. That's all we wanted to do. No financing, no frills just buy a boat with some money we had saved. Three trips there today and during each trip we were given different info. Contacted Mako directly who in turn spoke to Bass and supposedly cleared everything up. We are sitting there for an hour getting the paperwork finished when a manager pops his head in and casually informs us the previously quoted price is not valid and they will be charging 10% more. Hours wasted, trips wasted, hours spent hearing three different employees complain about their company, and we are now driving home boat less. Can't warn people enough to stay away from this location. read more

I took a friend from out of town here to buy a waterproof light he wanted, and he came away with $700 in toys and gear! This place is a sportsperson's dream, or great for anyone who likes to camp, hunt, fish and play in the great outdoors. It's actually a cool place to just spend some time browsing around to see what they have as some of the things they do carry are pretty unique. Surprisingly, even though this is a specialty type of store, their pricing is competitive on most items. This is pretty much the only option for outdoor gear in Dade County. (Now that Jet's closed) The Walmart for fishing, camping, boating or shooting. I do appreciate the ease of getting a last minute needed item but most specialty stuff still must be ordered online. I did a run yesterday to get several of their long sleeve fishing shirts for my Uncle in Paris (imagine that!!). As I walked by the women's section, I once again found myself shaking my head. How can a store have such nice men's clothes and just do such a horrible job on the women's. Specifically with the color schemes. Yuk!! Would love to have the same quality of the technical clothes with the eye pleasing color with a nice woman's cut. Hope springs eternal.
