I have shopped at this location for a few years now and have always had a great experience. However I have recently went into the store to see what new gear they had. I ended up picking up an amazing shirt, however it was to small for me, so my wife went back to the store to exchange for a bigger size. Anyhow there wasn't any on the shelves so they mentioned Sacramento had one in the needed size and that they would save my wife the trouble from having to drive there. Which I as a husband was extremely grateful for seeing how they did this for my wife. Fast forwarding a few weeks my shirt never came in so my wife decided to call in to get an update on my order. Only to find out the order was never made, and now the shirt is sold out. Super disappointed in Isaiah's knowledge in making orders. 511 as a whole is an amazing brand with amazing products however I doubt I'll shop at this location again. Super disappointed. read more

5.11 is located in delta shores shopping center. The store itself is very clean and organized. Most items were 20% off, however the items are still at a higher price value even with the discount. They carry tactical outdoor gear and clothing. Over all the service provided was good and it was not busy at all when I visited. The variety at 5.11 is perfect for law enforcement, first responders, and recreational enthusiasts. I was welcomed upon entering and asked if they can help me. Once I provided my objective, they guided me to that location and helped me pick out what I needed. The prices are average for high quality gear but might seem overpriced for others new to the field or expect less from their items. 5.11 also has an online store which can be ordered from in case the item is out of stock in the store. I appreciate the multiple choices and colors offered as well as the thoughtfulness placed to assure usability their items. Tip: Due to the pandemic, their hours might be impacted. I also needed to exchange my ems pants, they went above and beyond to find me the right size and called their other locations to confirm and reserve the size I needed. Honestly this store is fantastic. When we walked through the door we were immediately greeted with a smiling face especially from all the staff. Theres a young lady that works the front and she always keeps it organized and always helpful with every product in the store. When reading the reviews myself i thought i was going to walk into a store that didnt have great service but at the end of the day, they made me happy and i will always keep coming back. Its a work place please value these hard working people and if you dont like the product theres other products out there for you that you can go to. There is a county-wide mask mandate in Sacramento County, where this store is located. In addition to the mandate, there is a sign at the front of the store stating that employees and customers are required to wear masks. Not all employees, however, are wearing masks. I honestly have never heard of this place and had no clue they are "military" focused. My husband has been Army for almost 20 years and we've been stationed at the largest military post in the US. Well we went in today because my oldest wanted to go to Tilly's and they are literally next door. Well, the guy that helped us (I didn't catch his name but he was wearing a black sweatshirt) was super nice. The manager on the other hand, not so much. I asked a question about something military and she was very rude, to the point I just stopped engaging with her. I was just trying to make conversation with her and she was an absolute rude manager, perhaps the gentleman that helped me needs to take on her role. Would I shop here again? No, probably not, they are very expensive and are more outdoor focused like REI in my opinion. And, the way the manager treated us, I'm good I'll spend the money elsewhere. I like 5.11 merchandise and own several things from pants to boots and backpacks. When I found out they were opening a 5.11 near my neighborhood, I was very excited and thought I'd be spending a lot of my money there. Since they opened, I have visited the Delta Shores location about 4 times. Each time, I left the store with nothing in my hands. The customer service and overall "vibe" is not good. I am never greeted after entering...even when there are no other customers inside. I visited the store last week looking for an xmas gift. I asked the lone employee a question...he answered very curtly and turned away from me. I think I will stick to online as this location is not a nice place to shop read more

Horrible customer service. I agree with all the other 1 star reviews. I wear their tactical pants because I have to for work. Their "rip stop" pants ripped two months after wearing them. I went in to exchange the pair of pants the woman looked up my number said they were purchased on 10/27. 69 days ago and she said it didn't fall under 90 days. I told her it did and she said sorry can't do anything and turned her back. I called and they hung up on me. I called again and the "manager" interrupted me as soon as I started speaking and said she will "just do the exchange." My husband and I drove back and he went in to complete the exchange and the "manager" said she will not do the return because I was "cussed out her associate." This is a lie. I didn't use a single curse word and was very calm the whole time as the associate was the only one trying to help. The associate denied the fact that I supposedly cussed her out and says she wish she could do the exchange but she can't because she will get in trouble. I felt bad for her and in no way was any of it on her. Poorly ran store and it's very unfortunate how the "manager" handled the situation. Definitely won't be coming back here and makes sense as to why our department is switching to First Tactical. read more

I'm not opposed to the quality of the gear but this store is not good! Their website and on-line info says they close at 8:00pm. I just drove across town and arrived at 6:30 to find the doors locked. There were people inside, one smirked at me trying to open the locked door, as I'm trying to figure out why they're closed. I called and was told that if there are only two employees available they close at 6:00pm. So I guess the customers just have to stay amenable to the availability of employees and varying hours. I've never been here before and don't know much about the brand. Went in and picked out a nice pair of shorts, a belt, and a pack of 3 t-shirts. Interestingly, it was difficult to find a price on the items. How bad could it be, though? That's cargo shorts, a plain black belt, and 3 plain black t-shirts. It rang up as $200. I purchased several pants (approx $1,000 worth) and shirts from this store and online. I had to make some exchanges and returns. I brought all my items here so I can do the returns and exchanges as needed since I've done this before. There was a blonde girl with blonde/orange eyebrows who "assisted" us and instantly her demeanor and snarky comments made my wife and feel extremely uncomfortable. If you're going to make a snarky remark to your partner, at-least do it away from the customer. We explained to her what we needed returned and exchanged and she started getting overwhelmed to do her job. She told us, "it'll be easy if you just do it online." Ma'am, I'm in store because I find the store returns more convenient. Per your own return policy, I can return online items if I choose to. Anyways, she eventually assumes we are shady characters or something because she took it upon herself to call the manager. Once again, I can hear her comments to her manager and can hear her provide selective details to her manager. I'm guessing this was an attempt to convince her manager to turn us away? She obviously didn't get the answer she was seeking because she ended up having to do our returns and exchanges. The whole experience was awful and we felt judged. Maybe she had an issue with our appearance? Who knows. But the gentlman that was with her was awesome. He obviously understood what we needed done and was happy to help us. I'm not sure why she kept trying to take over the transaction and make every attempt possible to stop us from returning and exchanging our items. Mind you, we had all the receipts, everything was sealed in its original packaging, all tags attached, it was literally untouched items. She made us wait over 10 minutes just so she could finish her phone conversation with her manager. I'm sorry, but if you're not going to follow your own company policies and procedures or be so unaware about your policies then perhaps this isn't the job for you. My wife and I were both law enforcement background and military background, yet she had the audacity to treat us like we were some shady characters. I'm sorry we didn't fit your standards. I'm never shopping from this location. Reading these prior reviews, several people have complained about the customer service yet this location does nothing to fix the issue.
