Walked into the store to make a return on a purchase I made online. Was immediately being shouted at by a black lady with colorful hair and glasses telling me they don't do returns or refunds on the cards. Very poor customer service in my opinion. Giant store with so many items and different selections. Plenty of parking in the front especially at Delta Shores. They have everything from sports, camping, swimming, and etc. It is a big store so it can be pretty over whelming. They have some affordable options and some on clearance surprisingly. The better quality items are more expensive but super nice. I was looking at the foldable chairs and water bottles for an upcoming trip. They have some people working in front and all around the store but no really greeted me. I was looking at their owalas but they didn't have more of the sway models. My wife suggested coming here Black Friday. Best suggestion ever. We wanted to purchase a new Nishiki bike on sale. They seem to have a pretty good selection. Employee there was available to assist us right away. His service & knowledge was outstanding. I highly recommend to purchase a bike here bc they check out everything: seat, brakes, tires, calipers & so on. In fact the first bike's seat was jammed up literally so the service person said no that one isn't available bc of the jammed seat. He found another one that fit our specifications & checked it out thoroughly for us. What service! By the way all of their bikes are locked up. Be aware of this as it does take a bit of your time there but it's truly worth it! So go Christmas shopping! Lol The bicycle was a good sale as we got 150 dollars off the original price. So yes my wife's suggestion was really a good idea. We have bought from Target & Walmart & never have they checked out the bikes for us like the Dick's employee did. So keep that in mind when you shop here! We have shopped here for different items from Hoka shoes, clothing, fishing items & Stanleys in the past so make sure you give them your phone number to collect rewards bc these can add up & make your shopping here worth it bottom line! They even have rain hats! It's a pretty big store. Large selections of everything. Staff were friendly. Like everywhere, things are getting pricier. Look for the sales! Big warehouse of all sports and recreational equipment. Top dollar. Top brands. Poor customer service. My Dad needed ankle weights for some home exercises that his physical therapist recommended. Dad suggested going to Dick's. I have been here one other time with my sister who was looking for a Yeti cooler so this marks the second visit. We asked the front check out clerk where ankle weights were and she said "back there on the right" and waved her hand in a general direction. We shrugged and moved on, asking another clerk halfway toward the back where the weights were. He also pointed to the back wall so we moved on. The back wall area was virtually impassable with huge workout equipment displays and unboxed goods blocking the aisles. Two guys working there were shooting the breeze and didn't offer to help us, so my Dad and I lifted and moved a five foot sign to get to the back wall. We found three boxes of Nike ankle weights but nothing was priced. So dad picked one out and we made our way back to the checkout. We asked the clerk how much they were because nothing was priced, she tartly replied, "the price is right here." Pointing to a tiny UPC symbol. I said I couldn't see such tiny print and then she said the weights were $40. I yelled out "You're kidding me!" and told my Dad I would do a price check on Amazon. I pulled out my phone, forgetting that Delta Shores is a cellphone dead zone. Thirty seconds later, while I'm on my phone, the clerk tells us to leave as we are taking up too much room and she needs us to move so she can help other customers. Other customers who are not there. We left, never to return, and we went to Big 5, were greeted promptly and directed the workout section and got a pair of weights for $22. Dick's Sporting Goods is now on our do not shop list. read more

This was my first time at Dick's and probably my last. I was looking for a pair of light-weight casual sneakers. I found the shoe department easily, but I then had trouble finding the various types and brands of women's sneakers. Signs were confusing. There weren't any employees around to ask, and the clerks at check-out were too busy talking and laughing to even notice me. Overall very disappointing experience. (I am a senior citizen.) read more

I have always had a good experience at Dicks , me and my son get a lot of our outdoor gear there. But today I was very disappointed with the staff and its service. A week ago my son saw a kayak that was a on sale at dicks,today we both went to buy the kayak but when we were about to get to the cashier with the kayak about to buy it. As we were about to check out, we were told that the sale price was a mistake and that the price had been labeled incorrectly. The sale tag was attached directly to the kayak, and since it was the last one available, it was obvious that others had purchased the same model with the sale price. We tried to talk to a hire up because we wanted an explanation about why the sales could not be given to us. So at the end we could not purchase it. I just hope Dick's Sporting Goods will do a better job honoring advertised prices or finding a reasonable solution when pricing errors happen. I've always enjoyed shopping here, so this experience was very disappointing. read more

From paddle board gear, life vests, sports bras, yoga pants, waterproof phone cases.... they have most of what anyone is looking for! The fitting rooms have been left pretty nasty sometimes, so be aware of that and don't touch more surface areas than needed, but that's the nature of retail environments... With soccer season quickly approaching, I needed to pick up soccer gear for my son. Unfortunately, most of our local sporting goods stores have closed their doors. Therefore, we had the option of either Big 5 Sporting Goods (ironically my first retail job) or Dick's Sporting Goods. Since Dick's is a larger store with more variety, we opted to pay them a visit. While briefly waiting in the cleats section, an employee warmly greeted me and inquired about our needs. Since I'm not a soccer cleat guru, I asked if he could provide us with any soccer cleat in a size seven. Shortly he returned with four different soccer cleats ranging from $40 to $90. Sensing that I knew nothing about cleats, he explained to me how the expensive cleats generally assist with kicking power. In addition, he mentioned that my son (who is a beginner) wouldn't need an expensive pair due to his level of expertise. Ironically my son chose the cheapest pair because of the colorway (I was internally cheering to his decision). I then asked the employee about shin guards, and he walked us to the respective section. He streamlined our browsing by handing me a pair of shin guards that would provide optimum protection. Usually I purchase sporting goods online. However, the customer service experience that I received at this location may change that. It felt good to physically interact with another human being, plus his obvious knowledge of soccer made me confident in our purchases. Thank you! read more

Usually this location is decent but the selection of clothes is a mess. Everything is thrown everywhere and it's dirty and a hassle to shop through. Also we went in and the associate Diamond is always snarky and rude and is yelling across the store at customers about policies and such. I just purchases socks online as they didn't have the kind I liked in-store. $11.96 online (one color only was for this price) vs $20 in-store. If you spend over $65 shipping is free. Buy one more pair of socks and I got free shipping for less then a pair of socks. The store has a specialized golf section with high end putters. I went there for a driving range tee, unfortunately they were out. Apparently they had a large supply according to the clerk and all of a sudden they were out. Clothing is sorted by brand. So if you know your brand you can easily search. If you don't know your brand you have to scope out the entire store to find the item you are looking for. We did that looking for running shorts. They have a good selection of Yeti Coolers in stock, much larger than other outdoor stores I've been to. read more

I picked up a cheap DSG Baseball bucket empty for $15 and a Louisville Slugger for $40. At the end of my visit, I was very impressed and even learned that they do price matching. read more

You can almost get everything you want under one roof. I received a friendly greeting when I entered the store. The store is spotless and layout ideally. I can find the stuff I am looking for in a short period. Everything in the store looks presentable. All prices are well marked too. The workers are amicable. The check-out counter is fast. This will be my go-to store for all the sports goods I need now! read more

I visited looking for new golf clubs and accessories. To start off positive, staff walked by a couple of times to ask if I needed help, which was appreciated. Additionally, much like other Dick's Sporting Goods, this section is large, clean, and well lit. When it comes to checking out the clubs, unfortunately, every club (iron sets, drivers, etc.) is tied up, so you can't get a feel for any of the clubs. One of the staff was nice enough to cut and re-tie one iron club, so I can check it out. That whole process felt troublesome. The golf club sets can be ~$1,000 and there's no easy way for a customer to actually hold one of the clubs before making a purchase. The golf club section is basically a museum where all you can do is look at pretty clubs. Overall: Staff is nice and the store is clean and well lit. We went in today to buy my grandson his soccer shoes and he specifically wanted the blue with gray that was the lotto brand soccer shoes. We walked directly to the shoe department but the sales person said he would look in back but they would probably be in the soccer section near the front of the store. He directed us to the front of the store in the soccer section but he would let us know if he found the size that we needed in back. We got to the soccer shoe section and everyone was so helpful. Corrine came over to help and asked if we found the size we needed. Told her the size we needed but they didn't have it there so she went to check on her store phone and Kason may of been in charge of the soccer department , he found the size we needed. He brought the size we needed and the size above it to see if we could the difference. Everyone at the store was overly helpful! The store was clean and easy to find what we needed. Please give kudos to Corrine and Kason for all their help. The cashier was very friendly and asked for my grandson's name and gave him a sticker everybody at that age love stickers! I did not catch the name of the worker that was at the shoe department, but kudos to him as well. read more

I'm no "sporting fool", but I do enjoy browsing sports stores just to see what's what. This place is neat, clean and well organized. They have tons of nice looking sports and exercise clothes. Including a large variety of equipment for just about any activity you can think of, such as tennis, golf, camping, biking, hiking, skating, working out, soccer, baseball, basketball, football and any other type of game you can come up with. We came here to check out the athletic shoes that were on sale. Joe K has been doing an impressive job at staying fit with diet and exercise. So of course, comfortable tennis shoes are a must to keep him motivated! They actually had the shoes he needed in his hard to find size. The sale was very affordable and he was happy to find shoes he could enjoy wearing! Our only disappointment was, that they had a very limited bicycle repair and maintenance section. We couldn't find the right size bicycle tubes to fit his racing bike or even padded shorts for my butt. I'm just getting into this exercise regime, so I was hoping to find something to help my aching derriere! LOL! Other than that, we plan to visit more often now, since Joe K has a new Dick's Sporting Goods card! read more

We were in the area so we went to visit this store as the last part of our weekend "Get Out Of The House For Air" trip... The store is huge and well stocked of sports equipment or apparel from any sport you can think of. We were just browsing around and missed the area for the tennis equipment. Tennis isn't probably a main income source for the store so it's tucked away in a non-noticeable area. But I did pick up an Adidas shirt with a nice design on it. A bit overpriced, so I left it alone (and my daughter picked it up and bought it for me - Daddy's Girl...Ha-ha-ha!) The store was following the pandemic guidelines. Customers were required to wear masks, and they did have sanitizers available for the customer's use. Staff wore masks as well, but I don't remember if they wore gloves. They probably didn't. After our checkout, the staff did not sanitize the card reader...oh well... It's a great place to shop for sports related items. As far as the price is concerned, it is a little on the expensive side. But if you need it badly, this store is the place to go. read more

Front associates is real nice when you make a purchase, but beware when you make a return they would make up every excuse possible so you cannot complete the return. I purchased shoes here and the person who rang me up was very friendly, but when I came back to return the shoes less then a month later I was told that it was not suited for resale and said I have past the 30 days policy for returns. Fine, I took the shoes back and went to go look at other shoes. My husband took my shoes and asked another person working in the shoe department if he thought my shoes were not suited for return. He took a look at the shoes and said it looked fine and he was able to clean the shoe to make it look new. He told me he will walk me to the front and have the cashier process the return for me and will help me look for another pair of shoe. When the front associates, same person who refused my return in the beginning, processed my return she told me that next time I should not be asking the shoe department about returning shoes because they have no say on whether or not the item is returnable. She also added that I already pasted 30 days of return when my receipt has the purchase date of 10/11/24 and it was 11/08/24. Then, I went back to get a pair of new shoes and was rang up by the same associate. This time she pointed to their return policy again telling me that I only have 30 days to return and to wear the shoe around the house and not outside and try to return it again. Her coworker work on the register, the same person who helped me with the purchase of my first shoe, leaned over to looked at the transaction and made a comment that the shoe I purchased was cheaper than the one I returned and I just wanted the money. Very rude and uncalled for, but the guy from the shoe department was real nice. He's new there and was transferred from another store. He seems like he knows his job real well and should be acknowledge for going above and beyond for his customer service. read more

I had a really great experience my first time at this store! I was looking for a Stanley water cup and I know they are super popular and hard to get a hold of. Every single person in the store was so helpful. I asked an associate (I didn't get the name of) where to find the cup and they walked me all the way over to the display. The display didn't have any of the size I was looking for and employee Kammy told me if I waited she would look it up for me to see if she could locate one for me. I waited and she was kind and helpful! Then another employee named Gabe walked around the store to see if there were any cups left in the wrong spot and found me a cup without me even asking. Gabe brought up the cup and made my whole day. I've been waiting for the survey email to come to commend this staff but I didn't get it so I'm leaving this review instead. Every person in this store that day including Jason and Emily who I also chatted with for bit were delightful and literally acted like they wanted to help me which was such a refreshing change from your average retail experience. They all deserve the best because they seemed to really care about me as a customer and made my entire week actually. I don't usually shop at Dick's a lot since I'm not as familiar with what they sell but this experience made me feel like I want to come back and buy more things. Thank you all so much! read more

This is my first time in a Dicks Sporting Goods as they are fairly new in Northern California. This location is brand new and just opened. Today is a soft opening and the grand opening is on Friday. I like the store as it is large and well stocked. My go to Sporting good store has long been Big 5, but I probably will come here now. This is a much nicer and larger store than the Elk Grove Big 5. Not sure how prices compare, but will find out. On their website there is a $10 off of $25 coupon just for this store. Update: Yesterday I just quickly looked around. Today I went shopping for shoes. At Big 5 I normally find casual everyday shoes for $15 to at the most $25. Shoes at Dicks start around $50 and many are over $100. Then I looked at camping stuff. Coleman makes maybe 2 dozen camp stoves. Dicks sells 2 of them. The standard 2 burner propane that was $8 to $10 over priced and a stupid 1 burner that only a fool would buy. A 1 gallon can of Coleman Fuel was $13.99 and that about $2.00 too much. Too bad as I was glad to have a huge sporting goods store in our area. read more
