Great BBQ and we came in on a Tuesday which is rib day at $2/rib which lead to us getting a rack. It's me, my spouse and daughter and we added two 16oz side and it filled us up with leftovers. The bake beans and coleslaw are both home made and yummy! Service was good, its walk up style. Full bar if that interest you. Nice outdoors area.

If you're looking for the true BBQ taste, smell and feel, look no further! 5B's has got it going on! Locally owned and operated by a wonderful family. This family owned operation gives back a lot to the community and Western State Colorado University. Support local business! They support so much! Excellent service. Excellent food! They even have a food truck for off premise events. If you like the color pink, you'll love the decor!!

Yummy! I always love going here. It is such a good atmosphere, everything on the menu is good, it's locally owned, and the drinks are delicious! Great place to host large groups or go in any day of the week!

Absolutely delicious! The perfect stop before getting on the road back from Created Butte to Denver. The meat was tender, delicious, and unsauced...allowing you to taste the meat first and then enjoy your level of sauciness. The okra and potato salad are wonderful. Even the ice in the soda fountain is good! Fast, friendly, and freaking delicious.

Driving down 285 there isn't much to choose from but in Gunnison there are a bunch of options. We stopped here since it was right on the main road. It does have a couple tables on the patio very open concept. Not a ton of parking. You order at the front counter, then take the number back to your table. The menu has great options and is reasonably price for a town. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich and the smoked mac & cheese. I was surprised that mac & cheese is an up charge and considered to be a premium side. Not as many side options as I'd hoped to choose from. The food was under season and a little lackluster. Neighborhood spot but not somewhere I would go again if I was driving through. My friend got a burger, which was undercooked in the middle and when she brought it up to the server at the bar, he took it back and didn't offer to remake or refund her meal.

Good sized portion pulled pork sandwich. Great tasting bbq sauce. Friendly counter help. Tasteless coleslaw. Brisket wasn't really juicy and a little dry as if sitting in a warmer all day.

Rib plate, beams, toast and a side. $23. Good!

Stopped for lunch. Rib plate had 5 bones, great flavor and tender with Beans and bread. Side of potato saild was good but over priced. Coke over priced too. Small parking lot or street.

If you're headed to Black Canyon of the Gunnison from Denver you're probably going to get hungry along the way, and in the event that that does happen, you should probably stop at this BBQ place because it hits all the marks and is overall a pretty awesome spot. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, super clean inside, a friendly crew, decent prices and everything we tried was delicious. Ii hadn't been before and kind of wanted to sample a lot of things so I just ordered a plate with a variety of their meats. Some brisket, chicken, sausages, pulled pork and a single rib. Everything was on point, and I'd order it all again, but the rib really stood out. They had em on special for $1.50 per rib, and I ordered it as an afterthought but it turned out to be the best thing on the plate. Perfectly smoky and literally fell complete off the bone with no effort at all. Fantastic. Long story short, this is exactly what you should expect from a good BBQ joint and you can rest assured that if you stop in you'll be pleased with the food. Would return for sure if in the area again. 5 stars.

We had brisket on the nachos and the Stuckey Shaker is quite unique. Had to get it and it is good. Nachos are top nach-o!

Pleasantly surprised. Brisket was tender, ribs were moist. Didn't love the sides, but the meat was all good.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at High Alpine Brewing…read more We chose this brewery because we thought it was pet friendly, especially since they have a large outdoor upstairs patio. When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The wine list is very nice, and you won't break the bank -- especially at happy hour, with two dollars off each glass of wine between 5 and 7 PM. We had the House Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina, and it had a delicious flavor and aroma. It was a full bodied and smooth, dark red offering. For an appetizer, we had the Shishati grilled peppers with pesto/cilantro sauce, and they were just fantastic. They are mild, nicely grilled, and beautifully presented. It is served as an appetizer, but please be warned, one out of every nine peppers is exceedingly hot. We had about 12 peppers, and all of them were mild, so we beat the odds! I've had hamburgers all over the world, and I can honestly say I have not had a better cheeseburger than I got right here from the menu at Blackstock. It's in a traditional bun, lightly toasted, with tempura, onion, cracked pepper, mayo, Tabasco, candied and smoked bacon, and it is served with Hand-cut fries. You can add guacamole for a dollar, or blue cheese or Gruyere cheese for another dollar. But I did not add a thing; it was perfect as it came out of the kitchen for me! You will be asked how you want your hamburger cooked, and I chose medium. It could not have been better! It's on the menu at a very fair $21 including your hand-cut fries. My lovely dinner-date had the petite filet mignon, a 5-ounce offering of spectacular steak, served with goat cheese, potato croquettes, asparagus, stewed shallots, served with a Cabernet Demi glaze at $45. It was a large serving, I believe bigger than 5 ounces, because we are taking half of it home in a to-go box! Again, the food was spectacular... really good. We will finish with the flourless chocolate torte, serve with whipped cream and Amarina dark cherries at $11. If I was a betting man, I'd say you're gonna love this place! Take a few pictures, do what I did, and leave a review, because more people need to know the quality of food coming out of this little storefront on a busy street in Gunnison! And if you ask for Danielle, be advised, he's a great server and you will get exactly what you need! He's very attentive, and charming.
