This dry cleaners is now under new ownership. Not impressed. Dropped off a suit for dry cleaning, I got it back the same. Does not even smell clean. Instead smells like wet rags. And the pants of the suit were not ironed where the line creases should be in the front, instead they ironed them out of the pants. Too bad. I'm giving this place 2 stars simply because of the pricing. We had our Ugg queen sized comforter and two shams cleaned here and it cost us $70! That, to me, is an absurd price. After I heard that price I called around to other highly noted cleaners in the area and they all quoted me $40, which is much more reasonable. We won't be coming back here. read more

I needed a uniform shirt that had been sitting in the back of my van for months pressed. I originally asked for wash and press but apparently, they can't turn that on the same day so I asked if they could just press it. They said yes and told me at 7am that I could pick it up at noon. I didn't need it that quickly but okay. It was ready when I arrived at 4:15pm. Nicely pressed, shrouded in its plastic bag and ready to go. $3.75. My regular cleaner still washes and press shirts for $1.00 each albeit overnight. My bad for not checking the shirt the night before and ironing it myself. Wow horrible customer service FRIDAY the 9th I left my drapes at Lim's Cleaners. The clerk said they would have to be sent out for cleaning and that the man comes every other Thursday to pick them up. The following Wednesday she called to tell me the price, I said thats fine. I knew my drapes were being picked up the next day so I figured I'd have them in 14 days. She called me the next day and said, " He's not coming today, next Thursday. Disappointed I'd have to wait another week, I said fine. Today is finally pickup Thursday again, the clerk called me at 10:30 confirming the price again, I said fine. Five hours later she called me at 3:32 saying I needed to get down to the cleaners ASAP and sign a waiver the man was there to pick up my drapes. She hadn't said a WORD to me about waivers before, so naturally I had questions and ask to speak with the "pick up man". Basically he wanted me to sign a waiver saying if anything happened to the drapes that I would accept the responsibility for them, even if they turned out RED, faded or had shrinkage. I actually thought I had no choice due to the late date. My husband was leaving for a Kaiser appointment so I ask him to stop by the cleaners and sign the waiver for me. It took him 3 minutes to get to the cleaners. Apparently the , "pick up man" didn't wait 3 minutes. He left my drapes at the cleaners . Who does this to people and how do they stay in business? Classic story of family run business with all the benefits of Mrs. Lim running the front, she gets to know her customers by face/name, and her husband in back making it happen. As I am parking my car or walking in she is already entering my name by memory to verify I have items to pick up. She and her husband also do the work in the back with two helpers. Work is performed on premise, she verifies when you need items, has never missed a due date, and has the leeway to put a rush on items you need badly...i.e. I often drop off less urgent laundry while putting a rush on suites/slacks/shirts for upcoming business trips. Never an item lost, ruined, torn, burned etc..always the right amount of starch. They recycle hangers. Their business has been impacted not only by the PW market on Vasco going under, but also by the economy. I sure hope people learn of this high quality customer oriented family run business before the economy impacts them adversely. They are the best cleaners I have found in 11 years of living in Livermore. I think they charge .25 cents more to clean a shirt than other cleaners I've used..but it's worth it for their integrity and responsiveness...plus compared to other places that have ruined or lost items, it's a no brainer. They are on North Vasco near Two Guys Pizza, Subway and 7-11, across from Carl's Junior. I don't think you'll find a better cleaners in the area. read more

I was hesitant to go to a new dry cleaning service since I was loyal to my previous one for 5 years in Hayward. We moved to Livermore, so I needed to find a new dry cleaner close by. I found Lim's from Yelp, saw they had terrific reviews, so I tried them out. However, I needed my suits and shirts within 2 days due to work related travels to NY. The owner said she could do it! I was very very pleased with the quality of work, the excellent customer service, and the friendliness of the owner...I'm drawing a blank on her name, but she's very nice and makes sure she gets your clothes done when you need them. We have been going to Lim's Cleaners for as long as I can remember us living in Livermore. Dry Cleaning, Shirts, trousers and what ever else we can think of. However, it wasn't until I became very ill and came out of the hospital with some very special requirements that I really ca to appreciate Mr and Mrs. Lim. Mrs. Lim helped my wife design some prototype supports that have upgraded my living experience for the last 7 years. In fact my surgeon thought they could be marketed to other patients with similar problems. The price is competitive but the service and care the "Lim's" provide cannot be measured! read more

If there was a no star rating I'd give that!! After having several inexpensive, satisfactory alterations done here the past, I took my bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed. Went to pick it up a few days later and they "scalloped" the bottom. It was completely uneven and the seams were ripping. There were several ripples and folds in the fabric with uneven stitching over it. I asked for my money back and they wanted me to sign off on having them pay for the cost of my dress if they were going to give me my $20 back! The lady also mentioned that they were not professional seamstresses. When I asked why they advertise that they are, she rolled her eyes at me. Horrible customer service! If you want alterations/repairs go else ware! I also have had several pants get "lost" when dry cleaning. STEER CLEAR of this unprofessional, unqualified business. Took a suit jacket and pants to get hemmed and altered. They get 2 stars for doing the jacket well, but the pants were worn twice and the hem came apart. I started stepping on the hem and almost ripped the bottom of my pants twice. The price isn't that good and they took more than a week to do the work. Didn't get any cleaning done there, but will not be coming back. Will take to another tailor to try and fix the alteration mess that was created here. read more
